Shop said some air in the lines is expected and will work out, and they can rebleed. Car was dangerous, foot went to floor. Brought back. Picked up today and inspected the brake lines. Looks like a circus rollercoaster - the line is running OVER the valve cover, the line in back goes in a LOOP, and none of it is secured. THIS IS DANGEROUS. STAY AWAY - DO NOT GET BRAKES DONE HERE!!! I'd been having recurring cylinder misfires for months. I'm no stranger to mechanical work and did…read moreeverything I could think of to resolve but needed another eye on it. We're 40+ mins away from the nearest BMW garage so I found Mike's Auto which is within 10 minutes. They specialize in import repair according to their site so I brought it in for a diagnostic. I just needed to know what they thought caused it and could probably do the repair myself. I'd already done turbos, O2 sensors, ECU, throttle body, Vanos, etc. The guys were very accommodating but communication was poor, I had to call for any updates or to find out they needed me to authorize a repair. Three weeks and $1800 later I pick up the car and don't even make it a mile before all the misfires come right back. This, despite their assurances that it was test driven multiple times. Right back I go. A week later I'm now told a catalytic converter was plugged and causing faulty readings for air/fuel mix, creating misfires. It made sense, the tech even sent me a video showing his gauge reading. He was confident. Cats were about the only thing I hadn't changed. They estimated 8-9 hours book rate so I took it home and installed some brand new cats myself (3 hours real time.) Car made it several miles this time before the same error messages appeared. So, the diagnosis was still incorrect. I won't be bringing it back. The guys tried hard but it's clear they don't possess any specific import knowledge or experience that will help me out. I've wasted $1800 to get back where I was a month ago, but with a pair of shiny new cats now. They're probably fine doing standard work like suspension or oil leaks but anything more complex seems beyond them.

From the moment I arrived, Jonathan greeted me warmly and made me feel confident that my vehicle was in good hands. He and his team are not only knowledgeable but also friendly and hospitable. They worked on several major issues with my truck and took the time to explain every detail along the way. Here's a quick breakdown of what was done: He replaced the rear brakes, rotors, brake hoses, and calipers. I had initially requested a brake fluid flush and fill, and to have my rear brakes and rotors changed, but the rear brakes weren't purging fluid. J and his team quickly got to work troubleshooting, inspecting the brake hoses, and discovering that they were clogged and that the caliper was seized. He sourced the parts and fixed the issue, all while showing me everything step by step to ensure I understood the problem and knew he wasn't making it up or anything like that. (He literally showed it to me) He also flushed and filled the fluids in both the front/rear differentials/transfer case. The engine coolant was flushed and replaced, and he even changed the spark plugs, showing me the worn condition of the old ones. He checked all the hoses and clips to ensure nothing else needed to be replaced and changed the serpentine belt, which was long overdue. Jonathan also took extra time to address the growing rust issue underneath my truck, showing me how bad it was and explaining a plan of action we could take to treat it and prevent further corrosion in the future, should I opt to bring it back to him. (I'm definitely going to come back for this) I was especially impressed with how honest and upfront he was about every repair. He explained everything clearly, showed me the worn-out parts, and never once tried to upsell me or cut corners. His prices are incredibly fair, and the quality of work is top-notch. Overall, Jonathan and his team provided excellent service in a timely manner, and I really appreciated his dedication to getting my truck maintenance up to date and ensuring it's safe for the road. The fact that he accepts all forms of payment.... Debit Card/Credit Card/Cash/Zelle was just an added convenience. Sure I've went to other places that were more convenient and reputable, but always end up leaving unsatisfied and poor I've also been to the shop stressed out about how much a fix could cost where he tells me honestly that I don't need to do it right now instead of fixing something that ain't broke. So we all have bad days I always give people a second chance but when I send my Wife into this shop for a simple front end alignment on a jeep wrangler. they tell her that they can not do it because the sway bar was missing a bolt (standard 1/2x 2.5) when she asked them to put one in they told her that they don't have bolts and wont do the alignment till she has the problem fixed? ( Isn't this place called Crosby Automotive Repair ) they tell her that the jeep was unsafe and send my wife on her way to fix the the issue and make new appointment for the front end. So all in all they claim to be a repair shop that doesn't carry Bolts, check there work or do basic repairs to make a vehicle safe. I do not recommend this shop to anyone!

After driving the car back to Michigan, the humming noise was unbearable. So I took the car into a local BELLE tire too have the tires inspected. First thing the technician noticed was that each tire was from a separate manufacturer. I contacted the dealership and their answer was by the state of Wisconsin they are only responsible for putting tires on the vehicle with enough tire tread to meet safe driving. Who puts 4 tires from four manufacturers on a 46 K car. Could have been a 1200-dollar fix but the general manager simply told me good luck we did what we are expected to do by state laws. Consumer's beware loosey goosey GM at the lake Geneva location.
