Obviously, this is our first time, but what we got was amazing. We each got one of the lunch specials. She got boneless wings with the seasoned fries, and I got the wings with the radish. I got the sauce that starts with a "y", and she got half Korean BBQ and half the "Y" sauce. She enjoyed both of the sauces, but liked the BBQ one best. She also ordered one of those Korean "corn dogs" with cinnamon sugar on it, and the Kewpie mayo. I wouldn't get the pickled radish again, it's not what I've eaten elsewhere, but who cares when the wings were so awesome.........amazing........I think young people say they are fire......and they were. The fries were crispy, the wings crispy and well-sauced.......................and I cannot wait to go again. To top it off, our server, Madden, was wonderful. Not named after those guys from the band, Good Charlotte, but after John Madden! Since I know it can be good, let it be known while there if it's not.......because I'm pretty sure they'll make it right.

The menus were confusing and looked as though the prices had been altered or covered over with both white and black ink. It made figuring out the cost of the dishes unnecessarily difficult. I ordered the beef bibimbap, which was fine but not particularly memorable. The food was perfectly acceptable, though it didn't leave much of an impression. Our waitress had a notably flat affect and seemed somewhat disengaged throughout the meal. The service wasn't unpleasant, but it lacked the warmth or attentiveness that can make a casual lunch feel more inviting. Overall, Soul Garden is a perfectly serviceable spot for a quick meal, but between the confusing menus, indifferent service, and merely adequate food, I left without much reason to rush back.

Restaurant was clean, bustling with good vibes of patrons happily eating Korean food. Our waiter Paul is the best. We ordered and were brought little plates of kimchi, macaroni, etc. These were delicious. We finished them and our meals came out many of them sizzling from the hot pots. I had the spicy squid with noodles. It was the perfect slickness and I got a side of rice which I added to it, as the sauce is great to soak it up. Daughter had tofu bimbibop and she loved every mouthful. As we had told Paul we were celebrating our friends birthday, he brought out a marshmallow cookie with the plate decorated with happy birthday. Allbin all a wonderful meal with top notch service.

I was good with that because the food was delicious and such good value. Shared 3 dishes between 3 people: seafood stew, ddeokboki, and spicy LA galbi. Loved all of the dishes, all delicious with substantial quantity and amount of veggies. Perhaps what stood out the most was the ddeokboki since that's the best value dish I've ever seen at any restaurant--large in quantity that doesn't shy away in the amount of mix-ins (fishcake, cabbage, green onions, etc). Definitely will be keeping this place in mind for the next time I'm in the area.

While the selection is limited, especially if you're looking for hard to find fresh produce, the restaurant has you covered for standard Asian products. Our go-to (only order) is the Korean fried chicken. The restaurant serves a whole cut-up chicken for approximately $20. If you've not experienced Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) previously, you're in for a treat. We typically order plain, as we've found (KFC) can veer too sweet for our palate - but we are definitely in the minority. The crunch factor is hard to beat. On this particular occasion we mixed, original with a flavored option. I love original/plain but did find the plain to be under seasoned and the chicken weirdly cut up. At any rate, it was still delicious and would recommend. We've tried KFC prior and would order here again, but there is a chain restaurant on radar. KFC: 3.8

The BEST KFC in U.S…read more KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) is THE soul food of Korea deeply rooted in korean culture. Grew up eating different style of KFC in Korea, California, HI. Other places tried in GA, NY and VA. And it is absolutely surprising that my #1 KFC is here in Raleigh. FYI, I met the owner - who cooks himself in the kitchen - states he fries the chicken himself due to quality control. He also trains and creates menu for other KFC place in LA That being said, KFC is absolute best here and I just can't believe it is here in NC. Food: they have pretty small menu and the reason is-- their specialty is KFC. I've tried their pork belly Ssam (korean wrap) and although it was good I have to say- I've had better in Ssam specialty restaurant. So let's talk about what I come here for. That's right. KFC. I do not do take out either. It's fried. You will get the best taste out of it straight out of the fryer to the plate. So I order , usually one plate of no sauce which is just battered and fried then another plate of soga (soy sauce garlic) sauce which is my very favorite: you can expect savory, salty, sweet with hint of mild spice. Once in a great while I would order traditional sauce if I'm in the mood for more spicy sauce. The chicken is very juice while the batter is so crispy. It is a must to drink beer with it (chi-mek) I usually order korean or asahi beer. Venue: this is not a typical look of KFC but it works. Pretty large to accommodate any occasions. They also have private room with karaoke for small party. They also recently added a corner with some korean grocery. Service: I see lots of turnover here as far as with servers as they are young man/women. But Dave who goes to Raleigh and also wake Forrest location is absolutely exceptional - and I was also grateful the owner came to our table to check up on us. Perhaps we went during off hour he was able to. Typically always busy here with customers and take outs. All in all.. here, the secret is out.

The cold bibimbap was refreshing and well-balanced -- fresh veggies and a nice chilled contrast to the hot wings. It felt light but still satisfying. I am not sure if the hot bibimbap would've tasted better. I was expecting more flavor, and more side dishes, being it a Korean restaurant. Service was good. The restaurant is larger than I expected from the outside and has booths against the wall, tables in the center and a bar area. But it remained quiet, so it was still easy to talk without hearing other conversations. I had looked over the menu before dining here, as I sometimes have trouble deciding what to order. But when I arrived, the menu was huge. I could order from the lunch, dinner, or sushi menu. There were just so many options. I ended up going with the pineapple fried rice with shrimp. When it came out, it was in half a pineapple. I just loved it, and it made it fun to eat. The three shrimp on it were large as well.
