Why 5 stars? Because apparently I like Korean Pringle Fried Chicken now…read more --- --- --- I consider myself to be more cultured than most people when it comes to different types of food. I've had Korean Fried Chicken many-a-time, but have never heard of "Pringle" Fried Chicken. A quick Googling of such a thing shows me that I am not alone, and this is not some mega-craze that I've just missed out on. Maybe it's solely available at Ninja Chicken and if we fast forward 2-3 years, it will be a top food trend that all started in a shipping container on 1488. I was told that I can get actual bone-in wings that have a little spice to them, or just chicken tenders with no spice. I opted for the tenders only because I was a little nervous that one person's "mild spice" would be really spicy for the wuss that I am. But next time, I will try and live a little. The chicken was really great. The pringle means some sort of cheese and it comes in the form of a really heavy seasoning. There is oddly a very light hint of sweetness within the seasoning and it makes this chicken really addicting. I could absolutely eat like 10 of these things, not because of hunger, but just because it tastes so great. I initially started writing this review with a 4-star rating because the fries were really basic and boring. But then I thought, I just had a brand new version of fried chicken that I loved - who cares if the fries weren't good? And you know what? I agree with me. I would have ordered a snow for dessert, but was told that they don't have that right now. Hopefully next time, and there will definitely be a next time!

The interior is gorgeous and plenty of tables with one singular grill in the middle with the adjustable vent vacuum. The sashimi was not fishy at all and the food was delivered so quickly after ordering! There were so many cold and hot appetizers but I ordered the french fries, the shumai, the pepper tuna to start. Honestly wasn't expecting that quality or variety in Conroe but the addition of this place is so nice and refreshing to see! Even after two weeks, I'm still thinking of those french fries and the salmon sashimi so I'm hoping to come back soon.

The bar offers a lot of local brews and drinks and has something for everyone. As for the food truck itself they have a wide variety of items that seem super promising. Overall the wait time was slow for what it was, the lady at the counter was helpful, and the food was not more than average. The wings tasted like thy have been frozen and just added a sugary sauce, the bowl was decent but not as fresh as it should be, and the bahn mi had too much sauce, which overpowered all of the other flavors.

Kuksu House is a Korean INSPIRED food truck not authentic Korean food. However, this doesn't mean that it is bad. It's Kuksu House so I got the kuksu, and we also got the hanum. Kuksu is an Uzbek-Korean dish--a cold noodle soup from ethnic Koreans living in Uzbekistan. It's made with wheat noodles, rice noodles, garlic broth, pickles and beef. For $17 they give you a great big bowl of it. The flavors are intense and really tickle your palate. There's a whole lot of flavor here and I couldn't eat a whole lot at once--I think it works better as an appetizer soup than a main course. You could get 8 appetizer servings from the order. Just for grins I warmed up some of what I took home, and it wasn't bad that way either. One thing I found lacking was the beef--I couldn't find much. But it's a fascinating dish if you're looking for a unique combination of textures and flavor. Hanum is another dish from the same region. It's a steamed dumpling with layered pastry and a meat and potatoes filling, topped with stewed tomatoes and onions. This is a hearty, satisfying savory dish--all melts together in your mouth. There's plenty to share or eat later, and it keeps in the fridge just fine. We wanted to get fries but they were sold out. Service was friendly and enthusiastic. They do have more conventional foods--chicken thighs and Korean tacos. But if you are tiring of Tex-Mex and want something really different, this is worth a try.
