The Kopper Kettle in Topsham is a great spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. We went for breakfast this trip. As always, the food is delicious and well proportioned. Our waitress was friendly, and the restaurant is quaintly decorated for an at-home feel. The only negative was that the air vent was directly above our table, so it was too chilly. The prices are quite reasonable for a well- cooked and filling meal.

    A sweet treat.

This is a tiny place with a big following. It took several attempts to get to this place and get a seat to give it a try. Well worth the effort. Specials and features change on a regular basis, plus there are old standard classics on the menu. Be sure to check the chalk board for something of special interest. Onion rings were great, and among the best we have had anywhere. The skillet was fun, and the classic breakfast platter was fantastic. Service was very good, and with a little timing, we managed to get seated without a long wait. Worth the effort to get there and have a great diner meal.

Amazing experience! The ambiance is very classic American diner and we ate it up. The service is excellent. I was getting refills on my coffee before I knew I needed them. I had the homemade corned beef hash with eggs and toast and it absolutely slapped. My fiancée tried the pancakes and waffles (half order of each) and we loved them.

Tater tots topped with homemade chicken stew with carrots, corn, celery, gpeas, and green beans. Everyone say OMG! I think The Kopper Kettle has been around long enough for me to declare it a Midcoast Maine institution. I have never been disappointed in the food, and the staff are the best and friendliest folk.

A classic breakfast diner spot that is serving up the regulars and some quirky fun options at an affordable price point. It's a small place and had to wait nearly 45 min (group of 8) for their large table. Get their early if you want to try their specials! Ordered: monte cristo: not deep fried like the Disneyland version, more griddled like french toast so while heavy it wasn't too glutinous, flavors were great black pastrami eggs benedict: fare warning it doesn't come with sides but everything was perfectly cooked, toasted, and saucy Standard, in a good way. Would go again!

We love the Kettle for breakfast. Friendly service, great home-cooked style food. Can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu.

We were looking for a traditional diner with lots of options for picky breakfast eaters. We had to wait 15 min for our table, they told us 15-20 so they were on with timing. Coffee was ok, food was averaging, nothing. Bad, but nothing extra flavorful. Our waitress was lovely.

See pics!!! This CASH ONLY diner is the epitome of a classic old time diner that uses quality ingredients in its dishes, many dishes that are originals. Specials are offered daily; just find the chalkboard on the wall. I opted for a tradition egg, bacon, and hash breakfast w/ toast. The hash was made on-site and packed w/ meat (lots of it), potatoes, onions, and fresh carrots. The Apple Cinnamon Toast was sliced thick and it was absolutely delicious (as was the hash). My friend ordered an Irish Eggs Benedict that included hash; it was wonderful. He had picked it over a Pastrami Benedict. There were other menu items that sounded incredible. Diners can even order Chicken & Waffles. Service was very good & very friendly. Lots of locals eat here, which tells me something! We are going to make sure we eat here on the morning we leave the state by vehicle. It's just too good of an eatery not to stop in again!

I had high hopes for the Kopper Kettle based on the excellent reviews. The service was very good, but the food fell a little short of expectations. My husband ordered the cinnamon roll French toast with sausage and scrambled eggs. I ordered the pastrami eggs Benedict. And we split the grilled banana and coconut muffin. The sausage and French toast were great. The muffin didn't have much flavor, except the top. The eggs Benedict had very little flavor, there was a lot of hollandaise on it but you couldn't taste it. I did see many customers ordering "diner" basics- hash browns, eggs, toast. That may be the way to go!

Country skillet (bacon, sausage, ham). Had my hash browns on side (usually comes on bottom), Cinnamon toast.

There's a reason we keep coming back - the food and service. The ambiance is ok. Basic tables and chairs and some "circus" type of decorations on the wall. They have a pretty consistent menu that really hasn't changed, at least not that I have noticed. They have "signature" sandwiches or you can build your own. They have hot and cold deli sandwiches available. They also have wedge fries that are oven baked. Family favorites; Sonny's Supreme and the classic italian. I also also love their breakfast sandwich options. They have a cooler of beverages. My favorite is Fresca. A soda I never have at home and I soda I always buy when I can at a deli. Pairs perfectly. Don't sleep on the sweets for sale by the register. The cookies and whoopie pies are usally tasty. The staff seems consistent - hardworking, customer service oriented and nice to interact with. They keep the simple dining area as clean as they are able - during the lunch hours during the week - this place is always packed!!! Wow...it's great to see and hope this means this buiness will stay around for years to come. Parking - many parking options within .5 mile from the location. We still visit here and we still recommend it to family and friends.

They have a very large menu and after sifting through it a bit, I chose "The Big Top" which is a pastrami Reuben. I, personally love Reubens and was excited to try a variation that was the namesake. I was ultimately dissapointed that the sandwich wasn't served on Rye bread and was considerably smaller than the sandwiches my coworkers got. The sandwich itself was tasty but the juices from the sauce made the bread soggy by the time we made it back to the office (short drive). I'm not sure if I made a bad decision or if my review accurately reflects the quality - I won't be going back unless I'm sitting down to eat the sandwich right away and I won't be getting the "The Big Top" again.

I really want this place to do well, so I have a few critics Food- 5- phenomenal, great dishes and more complex flavors that you don't find at most run of the mill Italian restaurants. Portions were great and prices were fair for the quality of food Drinks - 5- also great, love the Aperol and Limoncello Ambience - 3 - this is my big critique. I think some the wall art that is hung on the wall is either AI art or atleast gives off that vibe. Feels more like something you'd see in a Panera bread. Everything else gave a really fancy and professional feel, but for some reason the wall art through me off Service was great, too great. The severs were a bit too attentive and were a bit too scripted. If they were more a bit more chill I'd feel more at home. Only reason I am critiquing so hard is that I want this place to do great. Brunswick needs some more quality restaurants, and Pomelia could definitely one of them.

I sat at the bar and even though the place was very busy, the servers were attentive. The food did take a bit to come out, but I didn't mind. I would definitely try the meatballs if I get the chance to come back here again. If you plan to come on a weekend, I would definitely recommend a reservation. Overall, everything was good, but I felt the prices were a bit high for the return. Other than that I had no issues.

You order at counter and food is brought to your table. The food was delicious and portions were generous. Atmosphere keeps the conversation and eyes going. Very clever and fun. Even the dishware was fun. Second trip we decided to try the high tea service. A menu of assorted teas and a prefixed food menu. My daughter made reservations and prepaid for our lunch ahead of time. We discussed price point and we believed it to be $48 a couple because who goes to tea alone? Turns out it was $41 per person. This is steep for lunch especially considering what it includes. Tea, a tower of treats; this works out to be 2- half sandwiches each (chicken and cucumber and whipped feta) a very small egg salad on 2-3 bite croissant, a scone with fixings and about 2-3 quarter sized macarons per person. This is very not nearly as generous as their daily menu portions. We had a reserved table and a waitress took our tea order from the table and delivered all items to the table except any napkins or utensils. We still needed to go get them from a centrally located area for diners. Our waitress was very sweet but obviously inexperienced and wasn't clear on how the high tea worked and it took about 40 minutes just to get the tea. Most disappointing was the bread. It was very dry and crumbly so sandwiches were falling or crumbling apart as we ate them. So as far as value is concerned, the high tea was not a good value in my opinion.

Come for the gimmicks and drinks, NOT for the food…read more We came in on Thursday, July 2nd. We ordered our food at 10:37am. Food did not get to us until 11:14, which is UNACCEPTABLE considering the items we got. Additionally, we had to sit in the hot heat while we waited, absolutely NO AIR CONDITIONING. After we waited all that time, I received the BLANDEST tomato soup I had ever been served. I'm not exaggerating. I understand this place is trying to be healthy or whatever, but even VEGANS USE MORE SPICES THAN THIS PLACE. My partner got the waffles, and they were OVERCOOKED. The only saving grace that this place has is the drinks, which came out in a reasonable fashion, and the pictures you can take. Skip the food, just order a drink if you really want to come here and take LOTR-themed pictures. I will not be coming back again. 1 star.

The wait wasn't long and the staff was already cracking jokes and very pleasant. If it's any indication of how much the customers love this place, in line I listened as a regular was offering to bring by his own soil tiller for a barista. Got a Reuben at 7:00 in the morning and it was delightful. Very specifically, the bread was buttered and toasted perfectly and it was a great portion! The chai was also nice, very well balanced. The ambiance of the coffee shop is lovely, bright, light, some nice music, the lounge is a nice spot as well! Overall, this was a delightful start to my day, I will be back soon!

We ordered two turkey sandwiches and a tuna salad on a bagel, so nothing cooked, besides the toasted bread. While waiting about 25-30mins for our food, it got really hot inside. I looked up at the built in fans/vents in the ceiling and noticed they were filthy. I was afraid if I had asked for air to be turned on, that dust would have shot onto people's food! There was also a situation where the man behind the register needed a choice made by an elderly customer that had already taken a seat. She shouted out the answer to his question and he responded rather loud and rudely for her to "Next time come to the counter! I don't like yelling across the room!" (Or something to that extent) Whatever it was, it seemed really aggressive and unprofessional, not to mention disrespectful. The sandwiches were good, had fresh ingredients, but I'm not sure this place was throwing the right vibes for me to revisit.
