I made an appointment with Dr. Kopelson for a second opinion. I had a barely discernible spot on my face and was told it was precancerous. I had it monitored for a year by two other dermatologists. Dr Kopelson looked at it, walked out of the room, came back with what looked like a propane tank and started blasting away at my face. I was in shock. My little 8 pound service dog was on my lap but even that did not stop Kopelson from blasting me with whatever was coming out from the machine in his hand. I couldn't speak. I couldn't move. He stopped blasting, walked out of the room, came back and started blasting away again.My face was burning . It is swollen from my nose to my chin, I have a hole in my face that does not heal, the inside of my nose is swollen which hampers my breathing and my lips are puckered and shriveled. When I called immediately after leaving office, he would not pick up the phone until my fourth call. He told me to stop calling and hung up the phone on me. I went to urgent care. They could not help me. It has been two weeks and it has only gotten worse. Kopelson's heavy handed incorrect treatment has disfigured me.I have been to three different dr offices. They all said they do not spray liquid nitrogen on . That they apply it directly on the tiny lesion not spray it with such force on someone's face. There is no way to control where it goes they way he did it. This man butchered me.I have written more details under Peter Kopelson. The situation has gotten much worse. I came here for a basic facial and loved the place so much that now I've done laser hair removal. Patty, Jackie and Hilary are just amazing! They answered all my questions. Like many other yelpers, I bought the Groupon for the facials with Liz, the remarkable aesthetician. I've seen her twice now and both visits were really great. Let me say, I really do not like getting facials. However, I do it out of necessity. It's uncomfortable (when it comes to extractions) and not a service I would ever do to relax. That all changed with Liz! It's utterly amazing how she can give a thoroughly deep cleansing facial and still relax you at the same time. I think it's the scalp massage/scratch she gives you while your mask is drying. I love this! All this and an education too! We talked about my skin, things I can do that I previously hadn't considered, but now being of, ahem, a certain age, I'm testing the waters. She didn't try to sell me on anything, but just brought it into our conversation. Liz has a sweet demeanor and great energy. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a great facial. The office is nice, not a stuffy BH plastic surgeon's office, like some of them can be. I had an appointment for my yearly over-all body check for skin cancer which is covered by my insurance ( Medicare). Talking to Dr. Feldman is like talking to a a girlfriend or sister. Easy with a sense of humor. My questions about my overall skin concerns were answered. Provided a sampling of a couple of face creams to try- which I asked about tried and purchased. She doesn't rush through a consultation. You can actually chat with her. Also purchased retinol cream with bleaching agent for a few brown spots on my face. Curious about IPL for severe brown spots on hands which I decided to try. The laser specialist was excellent. So far so good! There is a theme here--I HATE brown spots! She is my go-to dermalogist. Walked one block and went to their office. (Free parking in Beverly Hills!) It was a small office on the outside but you can tell that they're really busy --- on a Thursday morning too. I didn't have to wait very long for them to attend to me. Liz introduced herself and prepared me for the facial. I like the fact that the first thing that she did was to put me to a heated bed and wrapped me in a blanket. Haha, I was really tempted to take a nap. (Didn't have to wait for a long time!) For the first time that I used groupon on a facial, Liz did not sell me anything --- Nothing at all - not even an upgrade. I even asked her a questions in regards to my skin that was totally random and had nothing to do with the facial. She gladly answered my question and even gave me a lot of free samples. She just simply told me to try it all and see what would best be suited for my skin. All the samples that she gave me were available over the counter. When she didn't have the sample, she would give me the name and when asked if they sell it here, she would simply say, it's over the counter; you can get it at any pharmacy. (No selling, no awkward moments, lots of free samples to try so you don't waste money on products that simply does not work for your skin). If above wasn't enough for 5 stars, I don't know what will. I also bought the laser hair treatment package from Groupon. The best Groupon I purchased to date. I waited a bit before I booked my appt and the receptionist couldn't get me in till 2 1/2 months later. No problem. My fault for waiting so long to book it. They were very helpful in telling me what kind of laser they use. I am Latin with dark thick hair that usually grows within a couple of hours. The receptionist informed me that they have a laser for darker skin. Happy about that but still skeptical about laser treatments. I did the procedure when it fist came out and the results were not up to par. 15yrs later and I am ecstatic about laser hair removal. A firm believer. I showed up to my appt a couple of minutes earlier only to find a very pleasant receptionist with a smile. She told me to fill out some papers and take a seat. A couple of minutes later I was in a room waiting for Grace. She explained the process and asked me if I had questions. She put me at ease and took her time explaining everything that I asked. Grace also explained what to expect after. Much appreciated. The laser is less painful than what is was 15yrs a go. A couple of spots hurt more than others, but not unmanageable. The whole process took less than 30 min. I was such a skeptic before about laser hair removal, but now I am hooked. I am waiting in the office for my second appt as I am typing this review. I am SO happy with the outcome. One treatment and I see such a HUGE difference. It's shocking. Really shocking. I am so happy. I love the office. I love the Kopelson clinic. I started with them on a groupon last year. My only regret? I should have bought as many of the groupon as possible. This place is FANTASTIC! Grace Lin, the Derm RN did all my treatments and for the 1st time in a long time, I loved that area of my skin again. She was always friendly, fast and gave great tips/advice. They even worked with me to get more packages AFTER my groupon was done and only because I asked. I was never pressured to buy more when I came for any of my appointments. read more

I've seen Doctor Kopelson a couple of times and I'm always really happy with my time there and the results. He never makes me feel rushed, clearly knows his business, and everyone else I've interacted with there (the front desk folks and the nurses) has been super charming and nice. Parking can be a pain in the building but there's a dirt-cheap Beverly Hills city lot a block away (on the corner of Camden and Santa Monica Blvd.), so it's easy enough to park there. I just cannot understand the good reviews! Nothing was good about my experience of getting juvaderm in my lips. The wait time was over 40 mins, the consultation was done with a different person than the one performing the procedure (Dr. Kopelson), and the results were terrible! I got uneven lips, ripples all over, and a big bump under my nose on one side! Moreover, I paid $850 after the $200 discount for just one cc . Luckily somebody else corrected this terrible job, but only after I decided to redo it after 3 months of looking terrible! read more

I was recommended to the Kopelson clinic by a relative who sees another doctor there. Because she was unavailable, I saw Dr. Kopelson who was friendly, patient and took a biopsy in almost no time with minimal discomfort (after the quick shot, I did not even know the procedures was happening). In addition to a great Dr. and knowledgeable + helpful nurse, the wait was reasonable and the waiting room and exam rooms were all bright and clean. Notes: Aside from Medicare (Medical?) the clinic requires patients to pay upfront and bill their own insurance company. Also, the parking garage is HORRIFIC (expensive AND slow with the valet)-- when I asked for validation, the office assistant let me know there was free self parking about 2 driveways up camden. read more

The office is very clean and professional. Grace is awesome. I was in and out in less then 30 mins. The laser was pain free and I was surprised by how fast the procedure was. I am actually looking forward to having my hairs zapped away again. You can park in the lot on Santa Monica/Camden and pay $2.00/hr. I also noticed there is a lot closer to the office and the first hour is free. I may opt to try that next time. This Place is AWESOME, I was refereed to Dr. K years ago when I had a skin rash that wouldn't clear up, I had been to 4 or 5 other Doctors and none of them could identify the problem, Dr. K. diagnosed it immediately and within days my infection had began to clear up. I have since been going for botox, filler, and anti aging treatments and have never had issues like some of my friends have had with their Dermatologists, they always seem to have this constant look of fright in their face, like a deer caught in headlights, or a droopy eye from bad botox injections. But with Dr. K it always looks totally natural. I am almost 45 and most people think I am in my mid thirties, I know that's all thanks to Dr. K. The staff at Kopelson Clinic are so nice and warm too, I see Liz sometimes for my nasty blackhead issues and she always takes them time to see me and get them removed, without bruising or making me look like Rudolf the red nosed rain deer, when I try doing it myself I always seem to not only fail at getting them out but my nose gets all red and swollen. This is an excellent spot for laser treatments. It's located a block from Rodeo Drive so traffic sucks monkey balls during the day but once you're situated it's all gravy. The entire office staff is pretty friendly and they're always on time. I have never waited more than five minutes upon arrival. I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. Kopelson when he was still in his residency at UCLA. Because I have a rare skin disease, it was difficult to find a Doctor to take an interest. Well, I've followed Dr. Kopelson through the years and he has taken a compassionate interest in my skin disease. You will not find a more competent, knowledgeable, and skilled dermatologist in Beverly Hills or Los Angeles. He truly cares about his patients with absolute compassion.
