My fiance went into the store (purchase on May 2nd, 4:30pm at sunnyside mall location).
I had my phone stolen and required a new one. My fiance traveled across the peninsula to pick up the phone as the previous store had called ahead.
Meanwhile, the customer service from the young woman who was working was above and beyond - however, the not so gentleman working with her - was an absolute nightmare.
To be clear, this man was not helping my fiance as a client (he made this clear), the young woman was. Yet, the not so gentleman, inserted himself in the conversation a many of times and made comments that were, let's just say, on the verge of homophobic. No, they were homophobic. The comments were strong enough to stir emotion.
To keep it short, this man belittled my fiance, scorned, shouted and insulted - and made the interaction between the young woman and my fiance awkward and difficult.
Near the end of the transaction, the not so gentleman decided to shout some more and felt entitled to mention he was NOT helping, and they were NOT his client, yet, still, continually injected himself into the conversation, when it didn't merit an interruption between, the young woman and my fiance.
I did end up purchasing the phone, however, i wish i had not, knowing what I know now, and the level of disrespect my fiance encountered.
I am not commenting or reviewing to devalue koodo - The man who was working, deserves a manager/therapist to speak with him about behavior, and more importantly, interacting with other human beings in general. read more
