There are few feelings in the world as panic-inducing as the sensation you experience when your phone just stops working. My blackberry (only a few months old) recently lost its damn mind when I tried to update some of the software, rendering it 100% useless. When I called Telus to see what they could do, they told me the only solution was to send it in and get by with an old-school phone while I waited for the repairs or replacement. Not good. In a last-ditch effort to preserve my phone (and sanity), I dropped by the Telus location in Scotia Square and pleaded for their assistance. At this point in time, my customer service experience didn't matter at all to me - they could have attacked me with a string of profanities for all I cared - as long as they fixed my phone, the rest didn't matter. Fortunately for me, the 2 guys working were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, AND they did some magic tricks that had my phone working again in about 20 minutes (something the 'experts' on the other end of the phone line weren't able to help me with). Telus as an enterprise may leave me hanging from time to time, but the team at the Scotia Square location gets an A+. read more
