Note: I've posted this same review on Google Reviews…read more American Energy was one of three companies who priced my project. I met with the owner Mathew McGuire, who I found to be friendly, sincere, and someone who is vested in his business, his people, and working to ensure that he wins life-long customers with every job. I had done a lot of research with AI, so I knew my options well (that research was very helpful and I'd highly recommend doing it in advance of having people out to give you pricing). I had no intention of beating up each of the companies, I simply asked for their best pricing and options. I used AI to carefully review each bid in detail, including the proposed equipment and how appropriate it was for our home. All companies gave solid bids, but there was a very large spread between the highest and lowest. That usually concerns me, but all my research about American Energy indicated that they were a solid, competitive company. It was a big investment, but I ended up converting to an electric heat pump and also getting all our ducting replaced. We have a 2750 sf single-story home with 17 vents, so the new ducting was nearly as much as the system itself. That said, the ducting has made so much difference in terms of balancing the temperature throughout the house, which was a real probelm with the old system. The new system is extremely quiet and maintains a consistent temp throughout the day--and we've had some extremely hot days since it's been installed. American Energy's installers were all very friendly and professional, and did a great jobs with prep and clean-up each day they were here (the initial install took two days). There were a couple minor issues after the install was complete which required two follow-up appointments. One was a equipment issue that required Carrier to provide a replacement part, but Carrier was responsive and quickly provided it. For the additional follow-up appointments, their scheduling person as professional, courteous, and accommodating. In fact, she went out of her way over a weekend to re-schedule an appointment that was supposed to happen on a Monday morning. To me the company has to be a good one to A.) get that kind of diligence out of employees, and B.) to keep those kind of employees. In the end, I'm extremely happy with the system and will gladly subscribe for their annual maintenance contract.

From start to finish, Garrett and his team was professional, fairly priced, and clearly cared about the quality of their work. What stood out most was their commitment to making sure everything was done right. Garrett even had this cool tool that analyzed what size unit we would need based on the size of the house, orientation of the sun, ups and downs in the weather during the day, and the temperature we like to keep our home set at. I've never seen anything like it. Any time we had questions or concerns, they were responsive, patient, and willing to help. Even when there was a small project miscommunication along the way, they completely stood by their work and made sure everything was corrected and handled properly without hesitation. That level of customer service and integrity is hard to find these days. The quality of the installation and follow-up support exceeded our expectations. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in their work. If we could give them 10 stars, we absolutely would. We'll definitely be recommending them to friends, family, and anyone else looking for HVAC work!

I don't even know where to begin with this review. First off, let me just say that this company has…read morethe best customer service. Both Tasha and Angel were amazing. Let me give you the back story: our AC unit went out on Friday of Labor Day weekend and another company was called and came on Saturday. First off, the other company's tech that was supposed to come at 8 called in sick and so our appt was pushed back to between 4 to 5. The tech came in and stayed about 15 mins and said the thermostat needs to be changed and the batteries were installed backwards (I know, embarrassing) then he told us the AC should start working but will take a while. It never got better so we suffered Sunday during a heatwave with no AC. While at my cousin's house trying to beat the heat, I stumbled upon a friend's post about this company she had raves about Comfort 1 Heating Cooling & Air. Monday morning at 8:00 AM we called and were able to get an appointment the same day - 2 other companies were too booked up. Funny thing is the other company we usually used called to confirm our appt for Tuesday and we told them we went with someone else and they immediately said they could send someone out the same day - where was this sense of urgency yesterday? Anyways, We were give a time frame of 9-11. Angel arrived before 11 and changed the thermostat but noticed the fan wasn't working and inspected the attic - mind you 3 weeks ago another company came and did a comprehensive appointment and never told us anything about the busted fan or busted thermostat. Angel was able to quickly diagnose the probables. Angel didn't have the part on his truck but said he would check with the warehouse to see if they had the part. Hours later, we figured the company was too busy but then we get a call from Tasha saying that Angel had finished with his appointment in Roseville and was coming back to give us a portable AC unit to help us until the AC was fixed. My family and I were shocked that he would do that especially since we knew he had been working all day (especially on a holiday), our house was out of the way from where he was at and that he had ribs ready to be cooked at home. Lol. When he came back, he set the up the portable AC unit and said the office would call once the part arrived and that someone would probably be back tomorrow night. Now today, we received a call stating the part was in and that Angel would return 5-7. Angel came a little before 5:30 and fixed the problem - it took him about an hour to fix and everything is great! This company has received customers for life due to their amazing customer service and kind and knowledgeable tech. Thank you guys for being amazing!!!

I've never had anyone so determined to fix the issue & was able to get it working! I was so thankful & impressed with him. I was surprised of how quickly they were available to diagnose and fix my A/C. Especially during the peak hot summer days when A/C repair companies are busy. However, it was very apparent he was knowledgeable and meticulous with his work. He checked both of my A/C units, diagnosed the problem and explained why and what he was going to repair. When Abraham finished, he explained everything he did, in great detail, and the price was cheap! It's no wonder why Maki Heating and Air Conditioning gets such high ratings. Two word review: Honest, Responsive…read more This is my THIRD consecutive 5-star review for Rocklin Heating & Air. In the last 10 or so years in the area I've called RHA, one other place because they could get me to faster - had a bad experience, waited for RHA had an amazing experience, and decided they're going to be my ride-or-die for HVAC. I called them at 7am and by 11:30am their tech had fixed and tested everything and off to help someone else. Yesterday was the start of a heat wave and ... our AC unit quit on us. I called RHA as soon as they opened this morning at 7am, asked for Joe in particular, and they gave me a window between 10am and 12pm. Joe texted ahead of time at 10:30, diagnosed the blown capacitor, swapped it out, cleaned things up a bit, tested the coolant, answered a bunch of questions, and was on his way in just under an hour. The diagnostic was $129 and the capacitor was $186 today. By a complete and total coincidence, I had been running some experiments with home temperature sensors for the last week. You can literally see on these pictures exactly when the AC unit stopped working - and when RHA saved our bacon. The "other" place I called years ago only had a $79 diagnostic charge, but wanted to rip out and replace the entire HVAC system - and claimed we were taking our lives in our own hands by not getting it fixed with him immediately. Joe and RHA took care of everything for the diagnostic. Yeah, you can probably find someplace to charge you less for the diagnostic or maybe less for the part, but when your house is boiling hot / freezing cold, you want to be able to call on someone you can trust to help you out - and not take you for a ride.
