Everybody complains that dining out is so expensive today (myself included). While I can't say that…read moreCoco Shrimp is bucking that trend, what I can say is that, at least if you're going to spend the money, you'll likely get a great, satisfying meal in a fun atmosphere. That's a win in my book. My wife has dined at other Coco Shrimp locations, but it was our first time at this location. The place is nicely decorated, looking like a kitchy joint you'd find in the Caribbean, and the staff was very pleasant. It's quick casual, order at the counter from the easy to read and not too fussy menu, and the staff will bring your food to your table. I chose the sampler plate, which nets seven very generously sized shrimp atop a bed of buttery rice and a small salad. The greens were fresh, the rice was toasty and buttery as promised, and those shrimp: Yum! I selected spicy (definitely on the warm side), butter garlic (wonderful butter garlic sauce with herbs) and the namesake Coco shrimp (crispy fried with coconut flakes and sweet chili sauce), and all were fantastic. It was a lot of food, so we even took leftovers home to have for dinner. This place was definitely worth the price, and we'd happily go again.

Return or not return?…read more Probably return, but not a passionate I have to eat that again. Chain restaurant in Texas. Pros: - high flavor food - easy ordering - strong value for the $ - easy ordering - fast - gut bomb special as huge portions esp rice Cons: - too too salty - not a place you have lunch at and go back to work. Everyone will know what you ate. Garlic tastes good, but you will smell like it. - Tacos need corn tortilla option. Flour becomes gooey and soggy. Biggest issue is just too too salty.
