Good spot but probably what I would describe as a real bad acid trip. So don't trip acid here. Good tunes tho

Solid beer , not a tonnnnn of choices but enough to please most everyone. The place appeared to…read morebe going through some type of renovation as the outside was being painted and had a lot of scaffolding set up, nice outside awning keeps the shade out , nice space outside my kids got to use the chalk and color on the walls lol. I had the German wit beer and my wife had the sour , no complaints ! Cold tasty beer. Try the craft root beer mmmmmm it was good ! Our service was quick and friendly as we arrived on a Wednesday around 130 in the afternoon so it wasn't busy as expected , We'd stop here again if we were ever up this direction

Talk about an all-around great business. This brewery is like Lubbock's Grand Central. It's the…read moresecondary epicenter of the First Friday art crawl with the bold proclamation outside their door that "Beer is Art". People gather here nightly for fantastic beer and social relaxation. As the saying goes "if you build it, they will come", so too do the food trucks show up to help reduce your ABV with something scrumptious. My favorite night to visit is Wednesday, as they host RUN LBK's group runs. There's a free post-run beer awaiting your return. If that's not convincing enough, I don't know what else is. They host events every night, actually. This includes lotería, trivia, and vinyl night to name a few. They play host often to local and farther flung bands. The outdoor area gets packed out in warmer weather. Staff is friendly and beer is reasonably priced. There's merch for sale if you really love Two Docs and want to show it off. As the best brewery in Lubbock, it's a must visit and ranks up there with many others countrywide.

Automatic 5 stars because they have a GOOD Shuffleboard. I love me some shuffleboard. This new…read moreplace not only boasts a shuffleboard, they have pool tables, a few arcade games, a gigantic stage (think Karaoke, Comedy and Music), LOTS of seating, good lighting, big screen wall-mounted TVs and we have not event talked about food or drinks yet. Listen up, this place is new (opened late Nov 2024) so they are still working out the kinks. I say this because there are two reviews on this place that mention negative things. IMHO I think thus far they are excelling and will only get better and better. We need to give them grace as they learn and grow. ***So please READ MY REVIEW and ignore the 1 stars.*** The food we ordered was tasty, affordable and came out quickly. Drinks for the entire table were on point. Shout out to Chet who will gladly curate a drink for you if you are not sure what you want. Oh and did I mention 237 is located inside? 237 is Speakeasy located inside of Soggy Dog (at this time 237 is open Thur-Sat nights). 237 has it's own vibe and drink menu. PRO TIP: Enter Soggy Dog through either of the double set of metal doors. Yes you are at the right place. I will take pictures of the entrance on my next visit.

The chips and queso were an appetizer but came out with the rest of the food. Queso was extremely burned so I asked for it to be removed from the ticket; instead, they replaced it with spicy broccoli cheese soup. Okra and fries were not cooked all the way through; seems hard to mess up food service frozen food, but here we are. The hot chicken sandwich was made with chicken so tough I couldn't cut it. The hot sauce was nice, the salsa was decent. My giant mug of beer was flat but at least it was cold. Overall: poor food, slow service. Was hoping for better.

Mano Negra Brewing - Finished sangria flight outside in the courtyard

On a beautiful Friday night, there are a few great places in Lubbock to grab a drink. If you want…read moreto know what fun looks like, Mano Negra on a Friday night has you covered. I haven't returned to Mano Negra since it moved from its old location in Cactus Alley to the heart of Lubbock. Their old spot was very tight but had such an unadulterated charm that made the space feel special. The new location feels a lot more modern, but as its fanbase continues to grow, it needed more space to work with anyway. Inside, there's a huge wall of art and plenty of seating, and it feels like a place that doesn't belong in Lubbock. It feels so mid-city that it almost made me emotional. In the back lies their bar, where they serve their famed sangria, house-brewed beers, and other beverages. Their bartenders are super knowledgeable and will help you make the right choice. In the corner are a few arcade machines, including Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat II, Defender, and Pac-Man. There are also plenty of board games to pick up as well. As for the drinks, the Sunset Sangria and their Sandia Sangria I had were both exceptional. Good sangria hits like nothing I've ever had before. Mano Negra's new spot has a great deal of outdoor seating and patio space. If the inside gets too loud or too crowded, and if there's live music like there was when I went, it can get LOUD. The outdoor space offers a quiet escape and a great conversation spot on a cool night in Lubbock. The overall vibe and energy of Mano Negra are lively. The Brazilian students playing music in the corner brought out a new level of energy to the night, and I had a blast going here. I warn that their drinks are a little strong and the energy can get a little hot, so you may find yourself three drinks deep, unable to resist getting your dance on a little bit. Have a little fun with it. RIYL: Feeling A L I V E on a Friday night
