I brought in a silk robe that my great grandmother bought from China in the 90's. They ruined it "beyond repair" and I was notified on 8/1. Today, 8/5, I called again to see how they planned to handle this. I finally received a call back from the manager. She said their protocol in this situation is to google search the value of the robe and reimburse me that dollar amount.. I have used Kona's pick up and delivery service for years to my great satisfaction. When cleaning out the coat closet, I discovered my husband's leather jacket that was purchased about 20 years ago. Unfortunately, it had spots that turned out to be mold throughout the body of the jacket. After consulting Maria in the office, I submitted it for special cleaning, determining it was worth a try to repair the damage. These guys are smart. They get your cell number and text you when your clothes are ready. I had asked for one day service cause I needed my suit for important engagement. They said it was possible and gave me an approximate time for pick up. BINGO, within 24 hours I got two texts. I would give this place a negative 5 stars if I could. What a rip off. Dry cleaners are a dime dozen. This one is the most overpriced cleaners in Corona. Unfortunately, my son-in-law dropped off my cleaning to this location instead of my regular cleaners. Their fees are outrageous. I just walked out paying $100 on dry cleaning. Nothing extravagant just women's suit coats two table runners and two shirts. There is no value that they give and charging these ridiculous prices. I'd been going to another cleaner's closer to work. But on an occasion I needed to have my son drop off some clothes for me, I just let him choose the place. He found Kona, right down the street from home. I'd never noticed it there, despite shopping in the same shopping center every week. Their service was quick and inexpensive. Probably better rates than the place I had been going, to be truthful. And for what it's worth, it was nice to find the owner there spoke comfortably in English, which can sometimes be a challenge at other places, especially when you need some special work done. I went in a few weeks ago to dry clean my expensive custom made drapes. I dropped it off and was notified a few days later to pick it up. I was super happy to finally have clean drapes. I went to pick it up and all appeared just fine but when I got home to hang it up, I noticed that the fabric had shrunk! I was very upset and was expecting guests at my house the following weekend. I called the store and explained the situation. The woman gave me the number for the store manager. I called Karla and was told to bring it back so they can "stretch" the fabric. I took it in and a week to two weeks later I got it back with absolutely no change. I called the manager to tell her that the problem was not fixed and that I was disappointed that this happened. She emailed me back stating that I was already informed that the fabric would shrink which I was not informed of. She refused to give me a refund. I will definitely not go back to this place. There is no regard or care about the fabric you're bringing in. It's all about the business and the money they will be making. Definitely not going to this place again. read more

Wow -- my wife has an event décor business, and we brought 39 tablecloths here to be washed (not dry cleaned). Just basic wedding type tablecloths that originally cost under $7 each to purchase. They have a basic laundering price posted here of $2.75 per pound, but when they were ready, we were given a bill of more than $1,100.00 (more than $28 for each item). At $2.75 per pound, that would make them over 20 pounds each. This cost is not even imaginable -- more than 4X what the tablecloths cost new! Had they told me they would be this much when I dropped them off, I would have never left them. For $1,100, you can keep them. read more

I asked to clean expensive, $300, Pottery Barn drapes. Once returned from cleaning, the drapes were 5-6 inches shorter than originally, and not uniformly uneven. They looked hideous and damaged. I paid over $60 to clean them. I have returned them back to Kona Cleaners with a complaint, asking if they can fix the damage. They attempted to stretch my drapes, but unfortunately that didn't work. The drapes were permanently damaged. I have asked for a financial compensation and/or other remedy, and was refused, without justification. They refused to even refund me the cleaning fees I paid. My wife attempted to resolve the matter with their manager, Karla, via email, and was disrespectfully denied any compensation, accused of lying. I don't know if this issue is related to only this location or a specific poorly hired or trained employee (Karla), or to the chain, I highly recommend you find a better service provider who cares about their customers, not only their revenue. There are cleaners who care about their reputation and their customers, and take responsibility when they are at fault. read more

Moved from Aliso and new to the area and needed to have a few items dry cleaned. Found this location while I was out grocery shopping. Decided to give them a try. Location is pretty standard and clean. Only thing I noticed is that no machines were onsite. Which I then figured they sending out your clothing and then items are retuned back to the location. Overall I don't have anything negative to say. I will say their prices are a little on the high side. I dropped off a total of 16 items and paid close to 7.00 per item. Haven't looked at my items yet but turn around was quick and I would assume my items are fine. None of them needed any special attention. Overall I would say the location is slightly overpriced. But if you need a quick turn around they are a good option. read more

I'm leaving this review on a Sunday around 2pm at their business while they are closed even though their hours of operation state they are open. Additionally, their phones are ringing to voicemail. I would not even give 1 star. We took our living room rug here to be cleaned. They had it for 7 weeks and we were originally told 1 week and then it changed to 3-4 weeks. We went and picked up the rug and it's not even cleaned and has not been touched. The customer service was horrible. They never even reached out to us we had to keep calling to get our rug back. After 7 weeks we are still left with a dirty rug. Very unreliable!! read more

The girl said it's more because they replace any broken buttons (athough a shirt I picked up had a broken button after they pressed it).
