He started with Adventures Unleashed about 1.5 yr ago when he was still a puppy. Being a lab, he still "acts like" a puppy but looks like a big dog, and as we work long hours, we knew he needed lots of exercise and socialization with other dogs. He adores going out with Becki and the pack, and she has helped to ensure he continues to have good habits (like working with him on skills like responding to being called). It's important to me that an Adventures Unleashed pack run, in addition to being very active and social, usually lasts over a couple of hours, which really helps give our goofball of a dog lots of time to expend his excess energy. He's happier, and we are thrilled! One additional thing -- Becki at Adventures Unleashed really cares about the dogs that do Adventures Unleashed. I've seen her go the extra mile (so to speak) for our dog and other dogs in her care many times, and she always finds a way to help out the dogs and their owners when they are in need of her assistance. Adventures Unleashed also offers first-class house-sitting with your animals, and we've used this service when we've gone away for several days to a week. I almost feel guilty coming back because I know how much true FUN our dog has had while we are gone. We can't say enough good things!

Absolutely DISGUSTED with my experience at Pet's Place II…read more I brought merchandise into this store with the understanding that I would receive store credit for it. THEY KEPT MY MERCHANDISE, NEVER GAVE ME THE CREDIT, and are now denying the exchange ever happened. So apparently they think it's acceptable to keep a customer's property and give them absolutely NOTHING in return. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about how this business treats customers. And the store itself? EMBARRASSING. The place looks like it has been completely neglected. Tanks full of algae, dead fish, barely any inventory on the shelves, and an awful smell throughout the store. For a business that's supposed to sell and care for animals, the condition of what I personally saw was disturbing. Then there's the customer service -- absolutely HORRIBLE. When I tried to address the situation, instead of taking responsibility or trying to resolve it, I was treated like shit. I've rarely dealt with a business that showed this little respect for a customer. Pet's Place II: You don't get to take someone's merchandise, promise credit in exchange, then keep the merchandise AND refuse the credit. If you're not going to honor the exchange, GIVE ME MY PROPERTY BACK. I would NEVER bring merchandise here for trade or credit again, and after seeing the condition of this store and experiencing the way they treat customers, I wouldn't spend a dime here either. AVOID THIS PLACE. There are plenty of pet stores that actually value their customers, maintain their stores, and stand behind what they agree to.

I was the only customer in the store, store doors were wide open with the undeniable overwhelming smell of pot. Both employees repeatedly walked away from me while I was simply trying to buy a replacement fish. They kept trying to up-sell & I explained that I only needed the fish and was ready to pay, but I still felt ignored and treated with hostility. While I was on the phone speaking to my mother in another language, one employee made a comment along the lines of, "If you can speak another language, so can I," after speaking under her breath in a very harsh & angry language, to the 2nd employee. The entire interaction made me feel singled out, uncomfortable, and unwelcome. Whether intentional or not, the experience felt disrespectful and discriminatory. I ended up leaving without making a purchase and looked over my shoulder to see the 2nd employee glaring at me through the front door. I went to PetSmart instead, where I was treated kindly and professionally. I believe every customer deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, regardless of religion, appearance, or the language they speak.

One of my tanks started to produce excess slime and had a much higher tds than normal due to a mistake on our part. Paul caught the problem immediately and let me know so we could take care of it. My dog Pretzel (gsd mix) and I love visiting this location…read more The staff is amazing and treat you like family. Pretzel is always remembered and greeted by name when we walk in at each visit. He loves all the attention lol. The groomers are FANTASTIC!!!! Diana and Jules are incredible, patient, and gentle. They put up with Pretzels very dramatic loud whines, moans and groans. He hates getting his nails cut. For reference, when our vet cut his nails, it took two assistants to hold him still. a muzzle (which pretzel has no aggression but i guess it's standard for our practice but he also whines like a husky lol) and lots of peanut butter for a minimal trim. Both Diana and Jules have provided the best trims and files in 15mins without ever nipping the kwick, no muzzle, no peanut butter, one human job. They are the best. We've been monthly regulars for about 1.5 years now. Owner Karin is kind, passionate about animals and knowledgeable! When Pretzel had a medical accident this past November she was able to give us all the information we needed on orthopedic dog beds that kept him comfortable through his recovery and even since making a full recovery he still lays on it daily! I also love that they raise money and can food collections for a local shelters and rescues as Pretzel came to me via Trina K9 in Westchester County. A community staple for rockland.
