Katie's has everything you could possibly need for dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, and lizards. We have always been dog people, and we like knowing that the staff at Katie's Pet Depot is knowledgeable and friendly. It is nice to be greeted at the door by store personnel. It is very simple, but it makes a difference to customers. When I walk into Katie's with or without our dog, I always get a nice welcome. Of course, when I am with our dog, I get an even better welcome, but I am used to that by now as it happens anywhere else that we go. He is just more popular than I am. Our dog eats small bags of kibble because he eats a mostly homemade diet which we supplement with kibble. For that reason, we only use about one small bag each month. Katie's has an exchange policy on dog food: if your dog doesn't like the flavor or brand you buy, you can exchange it for something else. That's good to know when you're buying premium dog food. It is good to know that if our sometimes picky dog doesn't want to eat something, we can always exchange it for something else. We have never had to do so until today. I returned a bag of food that had about 1.5 cups taken out of it. When I walked in with it, I didn't have to explain anything. I was greeted and asked if I had an exchange. That simple. I said that I did have an exchange and went to get a different flavor of the same brand of food that our dog has been eating since he came to us from the shelter in January. I brought the bag up to the front to do the exchange, and it was that easy. We trust the staff at Katie's to help us do what is best for the pets we love. From our first meeting, the owner, Madeline, was informative, and caring, gave us a clear idea of what to expect on our wedding day, and took the time to answer all our questions. Every step of the way, Madeline was patient, responsive, and put us at ease. We even scheduled a meet-and-greet a few weeks before the wedding with Madeline and her husband, Gabriel, who is also a co-owner of the business. We were certain that they would not only care for Oreo but treat him like their own baby. On the day of our wedding, Madeline and Gabriel arrived at our hotel and immediately took care of Oreo. They walked him, fed him, played with him, helped him pose for pictures with us, and treated Oreo like family.
