Booking the Wedding Day Dog Attendant service through Happy Bark & Tails for my 11-month-old puppy was one of the best decisions I ever made. My now-husband and I were in the midst of planning our wedding when we decided to adopt our beautiful puppy, Oreo, and we wanted to ensure that he could be a part of our wedding. Thank goodness we found Happy Bark & Tails. From our first meeting, the owner, Madeline, was informative, and caring, gave us a clear idea of what to expect on our wedding day, and took the time to answer all our questions. Every step of the way, Madeline was patient, responsive, and put us at ease. We even scheduled a meet-and-greet a few weeks before the wedding with Madeline and her husband, Gabriel, who is also a co-owner of the business. We were certain that they would not only care for Oreo but treat him like their own baby. On the day of our wedding, Madeline and Gabriel arrived at our hotel and immediately took care of Oreo. They put on his cute "best dog" scarf and bow tie and handled him while my husband and I got ready for our wedding. They walked him, fed him, played with him, helped him pose for pictures with us, and treated Oreo like family. They transported him to the venue, took him back to our hotel, and stayed with him until we got back. We couldn't have asked for a better company or people to work with! They also documented our wedding day with photos from Oreo's perspective. The gallery of photos was beautiful and something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend Happy Bark & Tails for all your wedding pet care needs. They were great to work with and we have already recommended them to another couple! read more

Words cannot adequately express how grateful we are for how wonderful Madeline/Happy Bark & Tails were on our wedding day. It was so important to us that our two pups be included on our big day, and Madeline made sure they were both included and so lovingly cared for. One of our pups is 15 years old and as anxious, adoring pawrents we were worried about her ability to navigate our wedding venue and the excitement of the day. Those worries quickly dissipated because Madeline cared for both our pups as if they were her own, and we effusively recommend Happy Bark & Tails to anyone who loves their pup and can't imagine their wedding day without them. read more

Words (or a 5-star review) simply do not do Madeline justice!! Madeline was exceptional... She is so sweet, caring, calm, and attentive. We usually do not leave our dog with strangers, but when our dog first met Madeline, he absolutely fell in love with her! Our dog immediately took to her and made us instantly feel comfortable. We knew he would be in great hands on our wedding day. She went above and beyond. She made our wedding day with our little fur baby so easy to navigate and we cannot thank her enough - literally!! Thank you Madeline!!! You are AMAZING! read more

I couldn't be happier with Maddie, Gabriel, and Juan. They have helped out so much with Lilly and I never have to worry about her when I'm at work. I can always rely on them to be there for her to take her out for her daily walk no matter what. Everyday they walk her I receive an email that they have arrived. Once they complete the walk I receive another email with a recap of their walk and pictures. At first I didn't pay too much attention to them, but now it's a highlight of my day seeing how much fun she had on her walk. Overall I couldn't recommend them enough. They're communication and reliability is outstanding. I know I never have to worry about them showing up to take Lilly out which allows me to concentrate at work. read more

Happy Bark & Tails (HB&T) is AMAZING. My wife and I have a very complicated schedule--lots of quick trips in and out of town...some of them will allow us to bring our two dogs along, few of them that will allow us to bring both dogs and our two cats. HB&T has proven able to accommodate any of our needs, even the close-to-last-minute ones. Simple dog walking? Done--and we always get photos that demonstrate how happy the pups are. Overnight stays? No problem. Even the elusive cats are happy to pose for pictures on those occasions. Peace of mind that the critters' meds or supplements are being delivered in the right way? Absolutely. In fact, on this last point, HB&T earned our permanent business, respect, and appreciation. The short version of the story is that HB&T literally saved our cat's life. We were in Seattle and received voice messages and texts about unusual behavior from one of our cats. We replied as soon as we could, only to discover that HB&T was already en route to the emergency room--something was definitely wrong. Had HB&T failed to spot the behavior, had they waited around for confirmation that it was ok to take our cat to the ER, he wouldn't have made it. Not exaggerating. The HB&T crew are true professionals who love animals. They take take care of ours as if they were their own. They are respectful of our personal property and space. In fact, it's pretty standard to return home after being away for a few days only to discover that the house is more organized than when we left it. Most importantly, every time we come home after relying on HB&T, the animals are relaxed and happy. Can't ask for more than that. read more

Happy Bark & Tails is the best thing that could have happened to our little family. Our puppy AJ is scarred if everything and overly excited all at the same time. AJ spending time with Madeline has been amazing, he's better at walking on his leash outside without wanting to run back in the house the entire time! He gets an actual long walk and playtime when she is there. My husband and I work very long hours and thanks to HB&T he gets a lot of attention and exercise. If you need a great walker and pet caregiver, this is the place to use!! **photo credit to Happy Bark & Tails!! read more

Madeline and Gabriel are amazing. Have been using their services for almost a year now. I am so happy to have found such good people to take care of Riley while I'm at work. They accommodate with any schedule changes I may have and takes the time to communicate with updates about my dog. Riley looks forward to his daily walks from Madeline (and I look forward to the pictures of Riley I'm sent during their walk!). I can't even express how much I appreciate their service and wonderful treatment of Riley! read more

Happy Bark & Tails has been great! We have used the service for over one year now. There is a lot of availability and they are very reliable. My dog Max loves Madeline! She helped make him feel more comfortable when we moved to our new apartment last year. He had surgery recently and had removed his bandage, Madeline replaced it for me and was able to take care of him with his special needs. She also takes such beautiful pictures of him and makes me feel at ease if I go away for the weekend! read more

I've been using Happy Tails since I relocated to NJ from FL in July. I have an English bulldog and am extremely particular with who cares for him as well as who walks him since there are always a number of things to consider. Additionally, when being boarded I needed someone who was caring, understanding, communicative, knowledgeable, as well as willing to provide a crate free environment for my pet. I initially started having them walk my dog whenever I needed to attend meetings or had any other event where I wouldn't be able to come home during the day. They were always more than accommodating. Our relationship and trust has now grown to where I feel extremely confident having my pet boarded with them for several days at a time as I travel. They often send me pictures and videos throughout the day to let me know that my dog is healthy and ok. Additionally, they are comfortable applying medication if that need arises and in one extreme situation accommodated me on very short notice. I can never say enough about Gabriel and Madeline! The truly love the pets that they work with and it shows. We look forward to taking advantage of the doggy field trips next! read more

Madeline and Gabriel are the best we could have asked for our Goldendoodle Pup Mila. She got walks from them since she was little and they were very gentle with her as she was a very shy puppy to begin with. She loves seeing them and they make every walk an adventure by bringing a new buddy to play with or take her to the closest dog park. Boarding at their place gave us peace of mind and we cant say enough good things about how well they take care of our pup. And they take the best pictures of our pup, surely they are dog whisperers. read more

We appreciate everything Happy Bark & Tails does for Lambeau! We cannot believe how much Lambeau has grown since we started services with them in December! Not only has he grown as a pup physically but also socially. We have Happy Bark & Tails to thank for this progress! When we leave for work everyday we know we can trust and rely on Madeline or Gabe to keep us posted on our pup's walks. We love receiving updates and pictures from them. Any questions or concerns we have, they are there to answer with their knowledge and expertise. read more

Happy Bark and Tails have been walking my dog since he was a puppy. These are people you can entrust your pet to; they are extremely attentive to Melky and responsive if something last minute arises in my schedule. The other added benefit is you're having the same reoccurring person walking your dog. My dog is very strong and temperamental with other dogs, so I would never trust just anyone walking him; they are very experienced and well trained in handling even the most difficult dogs (my dog is very difficult). Since they have walked him since he was a pup, they also helped instill good walking habits and obedience. Even more noteworthy, my dog has destroyed a number of things (books, couch, random things on the table). These guys are nice enough to help clean up the messes while I'm at work. It makes my life so much easier coming home from work. The time and effort they apply is like no other and will never go unrecognized. Lastly, they take the best photos!! read more

When my husband and I first moved to Piscataway from Queens NY we knew we needed to find a reliable cat sitter to watch our two cats when we traveled. Luckily We found Madeline! From the initial meet and greet we knew she was going to be a great fit for us. To this day she takes great care of our cats! We gave her a key (which she keeps secure) and she comes to our house around the same time every day. She feeds our cats, cleans the litter box and plays with them. Madeline will also email me the cutest pictures and a little update daily. Her attention to detail and her level of care can't be surpassed! Highly recommend! read more

Madeline and Gabriel are GREAT with my pup. They are always my go-tos for my doggie. They keep me updated every time they come in/out as well as what my pup did. Awesome folks and will 100% recommend them to anyone. read more

We never used a dog walking service before because I was always home by 2pm. At the start of this year, with my hours changing and our dog Molly used to her usual routine, my wife & I researched a number of services and were recommended Happy Tails Pets (HPT). The service that they have been providing on a daily basis is nothing short of extraordinary. We always receive a personal e-mail update about the visit accompanied by the occasional photo. Sometimes a group-walk occurs and having her socialize with other dogs is great. Recently we used HPT for overnight boarding services and we were amazed by the services that they provided. They picked her up & dropped her off at our residence, provided updates throughout the weekend, and in the pictures that they sent us, we could see that Molly was enjoying her experience. Her body language and posture indicated that everything was great. When we arrived back from our weekend away, Molly was full of energy and playful. Usually when we Board her at other facilities, she returns tired and heads to the basement and doesn't interact as much. This usually lasts a day or more. We consider ourselves fortunate to have someone like Gabe & Madeline to take care of our Molly when we aren't around. read more

My partner and I adopted two very energetic Australian Cattle / Hound mix puppies about a year and a half ago (they are now about 2 years old). We had a really bad experience with one company and after switching to this one, we couldn't be happier. You can tell that this isn't just a job to them, this is their passion and what they love to do and it shows every time they come and visit with Emmy and Roscoe. We couldn't recommend this company enough. Emmy and Roscoe agree! read more

My pup is a 6 year old rottie mix that still has the energy he did as a puppy. My husband and I work long hours and felt bad leaving him alone all that time so we have been on the search for reliable dog walkers for a couple of months. Our search ended with Happy Tails! They always text me when they arrive to my house and when the walk is over I get a nice summary and pictures starring my happy looking pup. My dog is my only child and Madeline and Gabriel certainly treat him as such so I couldn't ask for better. While we only are in need of a dog walker right now I wouldn't hesitate to use their overnight care if I needed it. read more

They are fantastic. My dog does NOT warm easily to new people, but Madeline really took the time to bond with our dog. Now she looks forward to her afternoon walks! This is by far the best experience we've had with a dog walker. They also take great pictures of your dog during walks, which are so cute and a nice additional touch. Thanks Happy Tails! read more

I highly recommend happy tails pet sitters. Gabriel and Madeline have a true love and passion for what they do. It is obvious the way my dog reacts when they come to take him for a walk- that he is so happy to see them. I am so happy I found them. They are by far the best dog walking service I have ever used. You will not be disappointed. read more

I have been working exclusively with Madeline & Gabriel since March 2016. They take excellent care of my 1.5 year old rescue dog, who has lots of energy and some stomach issues. They email me pictures and status updates after every walk. I am hesitant to write this review **only** because I don't want them getting too busy to take care of my dog. Bottom line: they are very communicative, kind and trustworthy and I am very grateful that they help take care of my dog. read more

Madeline walks our French Bulldog twice a day and is awesome to work with. She's the most reliable dog walker we've ever had and she's affectionate toward our puppy. Plus she takes great photos of him on his walks! read more

Madeline just took care of my two cats for 3 weeks (2 visits per day) and she was absolutely amazing! During our initial consultation, she spent a lot of time with us just getting to know my cats and their silly quirks. I could tell right away that she was very sweet and that she really loved animals. While I was out of town, she sent me text updates with pictures (and sometimes videos) at every single visit. This really put me at ease since I always knew exactly how they were doing. Also, my cats are on a raw diet (Primal Pet Foods) and she was completely comfortable with the process of defrosting the food in the refrigerator overnight before feeding, as well as ensuring clean and safe handling of the food and their feeding bowls. Both of my cats seemed to really like Madeline. One of them is really scared of strangers, but he seemed comfortable having Madeline in the apartment during the initial visit and even let her rub his head. A few days into taking care of them, she already had a video of him rubbing against her legs! Madeline really was so great, and I never had to worry about my cats while I was gone. read more

This is the most wonderful pet service. There's no one else I would trust to care for my pup. Madeline is always prompt, responsive, and so thoughtful. You can tell right off that she really loves dogs, and our puppy absolutely adores her. Madeline always sends a picture when she picks up and drops off my pup at daycare and is so thoughtful when she drops him off at home for me (refilling water bowls, even one time asking me if she could turn on the AC in my apartment when it got too hot)! Happy Bark & Tails is my go-to service for my pup, and I'm thrilled with it. read more

I cant say enough positive things about Madeline and Gabriel! From their friendly text message, adorable daily photos, and proven dependability, there is always a sense of relief and joy knowing my dog is being well taken care of. I love checking out my dog and the other dog photos on their Instagram account! We have an alarm system that logs when someone walks in the door and leaves and they are pretty on target with the length of time they are here. We had a horror story with our last dog walker when after a few month found out she wasn't coming when she said she was! Its been a pleasure using Happy Tails Pets and i give high recommendations! read more

We absolutely love Madeline and Gabriel of Happy Bark & Tails! They come and walk our Bernese Mountain Dog regularly and she is always so happy to see them. They often bring along another dog or two for her to walk with, which she loves and gives her some extra socialization for the day. They are always willing to fit in extra walks for us in the evening or weekends if we need it. They always send the cutest picture and email after the walk to let us know how it went. It gives us peace of mind to know they will be coming over to walk our pup while we are at work! read more

Madeline walks my 4 year-old French Bulldog every time he stays in New Brunswick. She is so reliable and works to accommodate our irregular schedule. She goes above and beyond by keeping us updated with when she arrives, when the walk is complete, how (and what) he did, and even adds pictures! We will always use her services when in the area because I know he is in good hands. read more

We're first time dog owners and couldn't have more great things to say about Madeline and Gabriel. We have a young Shiba Inu puppy and discovered Happy Tails when she was just a few months old. It's a tough breed who definitely tests boundaries, but they have a natural way about them that always put our pup and us at ease. They send e-mails when they pick her up and as soon as she's dropped off with a cute little blurb that we always enjoy reading. Also, we have hectic schedules and they're incredibly easy to work with and have been able to fit us in, even on short notice. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy walker in the area! read more

There are not enough great thing I can say about Happy Bark and Tails. Both Gabriel and Madeline. I was recommended to them from a neighbor and couldn't have been happier. I had just gotten our puppy and needed a dog walker 2-3 times a day. They came and met us at my house, hung out with the pup, discussed my needs, and started that week. I get an email upon their arrival and again when they have dropped our pup off. On that email I get a quick overview of how the walk went and pictures!! Gabriel worked with me on all the training we were doing to make sure we were consistent and offered tons of suggestions based on his experience. I've had a few times where things have come up and I needed an extra walk and they are always willing to jump in where their schedule allows. You can tell both owners have a love for what they do and a connection with each dog they walk. They have also loaned me 2 different crates since my Pup kept escaping the custom made one I had bought. In addition Gabriel took note of any stressors for my pup (dogs barking, loud cars, etc) and worked with him to get comfortable with these new sights and sounds. They also bring along other dogs they walk (after asking permission) to work on socialization. Having them involved in our puppy years is definitely helping shape the well-rounded pet my pup is becoming. Just overall great people who take their job very seriously and deliver top notch dog walking service!!! I honestly feel like my pup isn't just being walked, hes on a play date!! read more
