Regrettably, I have to agree with many of the comments made by Roma P. Although Hope is ostensibly experienced in grooming-related matters, her demeanor can be very off putting and condescending. She played the "hematoma" card with my wife, as well, and went so far as to send her multiple texts in ALL CAPS, which scared my wife into thinking something was very wrong with our dog. She was so rattled that she called me, nearly in tears, worried that he had a serious medical issue. After being subjected to Hope's ranting and raving, we took our puppy to the veterinarian as she suggested, and they basically laughed in my wife's face and told us it was no big deal and simply trimmed his fur to address the situation. End of story. When it was time for our next appointment, we considered whether to take him to her again or to you someone else. I encouraged my wife to try Hope again. Stupid decision on my part. Although we thought it was impossible, she again sent my wife texts complaining about his matting and sending multiple pics (not sure why this was necessary because we know what our own dog looks like). The nail in the coffin was when my wife went to pick up our puppy and HOPE ACTUALLY TRIED TO HAND MY WIFE A BAG OF HIS FUR to prove how much fur she had to cut off due to the matting issue that she took such pleasure in pointing out. We will not be returning. It is not worth the mental anguish. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Hope and The Pet Station. It's a professional pet grooming establishment. Hope comes with over 40 years experience and knows how to groom every animal breed. I love Hope's friendly manner and rapport with pets and humans! It's truly a wonderful experience from making appointments to dropping off my dog. Hope is the best pet groomer in our area. She is professional and extremely experienced. My one cat was acting funny and Hope knew exactly what was wrong with her and told me a vet to call who saw us later that day. Hope was CORRECT in sending me to the vet and my poor kitty has a UTI and was able to start antibiotics that same day!!! Hope is the best hands down!!!!! read more

We took our maltese to The Pet Station a few times as one our of neighbors recommended it. The prices are unique to your dog so it only cost us $40 as oppose to other groomers charging us $60. However, the owner, Hope, was extremely rude each time. I'm actually shocked reading the other reviews on here because she was unkind, unwelcoming and talked to us as if we did not take care of our dog. Our pup had knots around his ears and even though we combed him 3x a day everyday, he'd still get them. Hope scared my mom telling her that cutting his hair might lead to a "hematoma." My mom, who speaks little English, got so scared because she didn't know what that meant. Then when we went to pick him up, I asked if his ears got cut at all. She said no and then I came home and noticed that he had scabs on both ears. Not only did I feel like I was lied to by Hope, but I felt like she talked down to us. She seemed to interact with others better so maybe she just didn't like us for some reason, which I don't understand, but I definitely wouldn't bring my dog to her ever again. I'd rather pay an extra $20 each time and know my dogs being treated with care because if she could be so rude to us, God knows how she treats my fur baby when I'm not there. read more

I've been going to Pet Station for many years and have been very happy with the results with the owner Hope until recent! I have a Biewer Yorkshire Terrier in which there are separate groupings within the breed. My dog follows more towards the Teddy Bear grouping. I've been trying to work with Hope to get the look I wanted for my dog now that he is an adult. The last time I went, due to COVID-19, I couldn't be there to protect my dog from the horrific cut my dog got!! I tried to write down what I wanted the cut to be on my dog. Also, my dog's hair was so long that what I wanted could most definitely be achieved. I arrived to find my dog was shaved down to where he has never been in his life!?! I was in total shock. I paid Hope in full with an excellent tip, again, just pure shock. Not only did she shave all of his hair off, she also does not clean her equipment as of late, my dog has been getting these weird bumps only from Pet Station!! I am posting pictures of my dog, before and after pictures, self explanatory. There is a picture of how my dog normally looks, unfortunately I don't have a picture of how long his hair really was. It was so long he slid on flooring when he walked and he could barely see. (Only because of trying to be safe from COVID-19) NOW, the other picture of my poor boy with NO HAIR was MY SHOCK!!! I cannot say enough about my positive experience today at The Pet Station with the owner Hope! The establishment is clean and tidy, there is nothing hidden, I was allowed back in the grooming area and talked to Taco (my male long hair cat) the entire grooming session- I was pleasantly surprised that she suggested it, she said that pets are more relaxed with their owners there. She did a fantastic job and was so tender and gentle with him - I can barely brush him and yet he just laid there on the table while she clipper cut him into a lions cut, trimmed his nails and scissor cut his mane - she is the cat whisperer and has earned my repeat business! Hands down THE BEST!!! I travel from Cranbury to the Pet Station because of Hope's professionalism respect and love for animals. I could never own a Persian cat without her! She has been grooming my cats for 15+ years. She is a good listener and due to her 30+ years with experience i value her advice. I just read a scathingly irrelevant review of The Pet Station. I am shocked at the erroneous accusations. I have been taking my two toy poodles to Hope for over 4 years and not once ever did my doggies come home with anything but bows and happy faces! Hope is a true professional of many many years who I trust 100%. She will even notice if my dogs have any issues and advise us. My veterinarian knows Hope very well and highly recommends her. Have no fear my fur lover friends; Hope is one of the best groomers I've ever known and she loves her clients; even my tiny girl who doesn't stop yapping. This pet station is by far the best place you could take your pet to. I've only been there once but business is all about first impressions. I was extremely impressed with the owner Hope who was more than accommodating with everything. Not only was this place fairly priced but Hope goes out of her way to make you and your pet happy. I brought my cat in because he needed a sanitary trim. Usually my cat hates people, thought he was going to maul Hope, but for some reason he didn't mind Her. She handled the problem very swiftly and with no trouble at all. Hope has to be the best professional I've ever seen. She even gave me free corn starch to apply to my cats buttocks because it was going to be sore. I can without a doubt say I will go here for the rest of my life. read more

I took my dog and cat to Petsmart for a while and then decided to try somewhere else because they would come home traumatized. I found this place through yelp, and I'm so glad I did. The owner really demonstrated her love for animals and consideration for their feelings, which I was surprised by. Also, the prices are really reasonable. Hope and Rachel are awesome! They love their jobs, and are great with the animals! They are very knowledgeable about animals, and hope has veterinarian experience and informs you about medical issues regarding your pet and has a quick and easy solution. Rachel has great reception skills and schedules appointments with a constant smile. Hope is great with jumpy dogs, fast to get nails clipped and the prices are good. This is a by-appointment-only place, but I was able to call about coming right in on a Saturday morning. They don't have a website, so no prices online, but for nail clipping, cats were $5, dogs were $5, $10 and $15 based on size. For full grooming the highest price I saw was extra large dogs are $140 and up. Hopefully that gives a good price estimate. read more

I am giving The Pet Station 5 stars! I have been bringing my Maltese, Snowball, to Hope at The Pet Station for over 4 years. This is by far the best groomer that he has ever gone to. Most groomers use electric shavers and they have scared my dog every time. Hope uses scissors and manicures him better than a shaver could ever do. She knows each dogs sensitive spots and truly loves animals. I wont take Snowball anywhere else! read more
