I rarely leave reviews, but I want to take a minute to talk about what a fantastic experience we have had with McFee's. For several years they groomed both my golden retrievers and they always treated them so kind and with such patience. One of my dogs was very timid and would lie down the whole time and the other dog was a bundle of energy. They had always been a challenge for previous groomers, but when we went to McFee's they had no problem and always came home looking beautiful. A few weeks ago I made an appointment for my remaining dog (his sister passed a few years ago), but before the appointment came, my sweet Rebel died after being ill for several weeks. The morning of the grooming appointment I saw it pop up on my calendar and realized I had never canceled it. So I called McFee's and spoke with a woman who was so kind on the phone (even though I know for a small business this left a hole in their schedule where another dog could have come in). But, she was completely understanding and was so comforting talking about how hard it must be and when we are ready to get another dog to come back. Today, I received in the mail a condolence card for our family signed with messages from all the staff. Our family is so touched! These are the special things that make a business truly excellent, if I could give them 10 stars I would. And I hope to be back soon. read more

A few of my neighbors recommended this as a go to for dog grooming. I left a voicemail for them and they called me back the next day. They were very courteous. Even gave me pointers to finding them for Chewy's appt. Upon my arrival, I was greeted at the desk. They explained the process which was much appreciated. It was our first time at McFee's Tailored Pets and we had the best experience. Chris and his staff were really kind to our German Indian Dog and groomed him beautifully. His fur can be really challenging for most groomers because of his thick undercoat, but he came home sleek and well manicured. So many places that we have tried over the past four years tend to charge a ridiculous amount of money to wash and deshed our dog, but Chris is reasonable and Takoda looks gorgeous. This is the first place that my dog feels comfortable getting his nails trimmed. They treat him with lots of love and care. They do a great job cutting his hair as well. I used McFees in the past for my dog, Sparky, for a few years. The first couple of times I brought him, they did and awesome job. He was always kind of anxious when we would leave him, but the staff did a great job making him feel comfortable and happy. He came back fresh, dry, and happy. They brushed him very thoroughly and he wouldn't shed for days. As he got older, it was hard for him to jump onto tables or walk around all too much. I found they would let him lay down in the crate and sleep after they bathed him, and I don't think they brushed him. Some of his fur on his back would be curled in an odd way and he would still be a little damp, and would shed a ton. Now, I am not sure if that was due to his age and lower mobility, or if they were doing that across the board. But, at the very least, the staff truly cares for the animals they take care of, and the owner is serious about who he hires to work there. Last time we went, they did not accept credit or debit cards, only cash or check. read more

Mr. McFee is extremely nice, courteous and professional. He is gentle with my dog who is a rescue and was badly abused as a puppy and gets nervous around people she does not know but Mr. McFee and his staff are very good with her. The prices here are also good and I highly recommend them and I have high standards on who gets to handle my now rehabilitated 60 pound princess! read more

We have been using McFee's for about 8 years now and have been very satisfied the entire time. They treat our dog very well and seem to truly care about your dogs well-being. Several times they have pointed out issues which required vet attention at some point. The prices are very reasonable and I would highly recommend McFee's. Hunter, giant tall golden doodle 98 lb, has the weirdest hair. Curly, straight, wavy, soft and coarse. He likes going here, so I assume as he walks in with Chris and goes directly into the cage. Sometimes there are some areas that need a little attention as it's too long, but again he has weirdly textured hair. I don't know if it's just a miss or looks good at the time. I've brought him back for a correction without a hassle. Just wish he would get a once over look after finishing. He looks and smells soooooooo much better when I pick him up. Our dog -- a shih tzu -- not only looks beautiful after she goes here -- but she actually loves to go. As soon as we pull up in the car, she pulls on her lead to go inside and greets the owner with a wag. This tells us that she's treated well. read more
