Update to my first Review on Donna's Pet Depot. My older Aussie was at a kennel and I agreed to grooming services before picking her up after her stay. In short, the grooming was really bad. An ugly trim I didn't ask for which took part of her front leg 'feathers' off, the pretty feathers around her ears, and her Aussie "pants" were just a mis-matched mess of things. Kristen worked her magic and while I hated the fact that Skylar had to be trimmed shorter so she will grow in evenly, she looks so so so much better! I see good reviews, but it's from years ago. My recent experience has been not so good at all. My little dogs had bleeding paws from their nail cut. As a groomer, you should know where to stop. I know accidents can happen, but to BOTH DOGS!? My dog doesn't even want me to touch her paw. She cut meat from the nail! Even though I discussed with her to cut and grind the rest. The worst part was her response!!! She claim it was only a little, that there was no blood on the towel... of course there wasn't blood on the towel they weren't walking on there paws, so there was no pressure. She put a powder on her paw, & said "she'll be okay, this is why they make the powder for". No pet owner wants to hear that! My dog is in pain and is extremely upset at this place. The rest of the hair looks sloppy. The way it was cut looks like she regular scissors. I'm sorry but I don't recommend Kristen EVER! read more

Will be my go to pet shop in my area now. Donna, along with the employees are all super friendly and sweet. They always make sure to see if you need any help and are genuine about wanting to help their customers. I recently bought a new brand of dog food for my dog to try out and he didn't like it. Because I had opened the bag, I thought there was nothing they could do for me; however, I was pleasantly surprised. Donna offered me an exchange and I am so amazed at how compensating they are! If you are looking for pet food, toys, snacks, go here!! They have it all and prices are fair. UPdAte: It was very nice that they called back and apologized as well as changed the groomer! They gave sophie a complimentary grooming and she did a good job. Thank you for good customer service. I would advise against any grooming at this place. The lady gave my dog a deep razor burnt and she was bleeding a lot. What should have been a 2 hr grooming session became 3hrs!! And my dog wasn't even groomed well. Never again will I put my dog through such trauma. If you love your pet, do not groom her here!!! read more

Adding to the previous review Accidents happen once and you learn from it. How do you hurt two paws and two dogs on the same visit? You would think to be cautious after the first screw up. It was a lot of blood. It was still bleeding for a while today. We had to go buy our own powder for them to stop bleeding, and then clean her from all the blood. Our pets are like children, and for a owner to get their pets back hurting, or discomforted. It kills us within. Now my pets are going to always remembers his experience and give me or another groomer a hard time. Keep your apologies, because that doesn't take the pain away from my pet. read more

Does not deserve any stars. I dropped my bernedoodle puppy there today. I instructed Christin we did not want a poodle cut, do not shave. She assured me she would not. I gave her a picture of what we wanted. She inspected him, said he would be trimmed and be finished in 3 hours. They kept a 5 month old puppy 5 hours. They said he was frightened and gave him breaks. 5 hours without food and he looks the exact opposite of what we requested. They say they specialize in doodles. No, they don't. Especially recommended for reptile owners with picky eaters looking for a good place to get live rodents (feeders that are not dehydrated/starving and potentially sick are very hard to find in my experience). The staff are approachable and good at what they do. I've been a frequent customer here regularly for a couple years, and this quality has been consistent. read more

The worst of the worst!! Don't ever have your dog groomed by Kristen at Donna' Pet Depot! I wish I had been warned. I had a 12 o'clock appointment for my dog this past Saturday. I was planning to get my nails done as I waited for my dog in the same shopping center. I asked if two hours would be enough, she said yes and maybe longer. I got back to the groomers at around 2:15 and Kristen, told me it would be about another 20 minutes. I then asked the owner, Donna what time she closed and she said in a rather annoyed and obnoxious way, well you can't leave your dog here till we close. I was very taken aback by it because the reason I was asking was I was planning on buying frozen dog food and wasn't going to be home so I thought I would pick it up around closing time. She said I will call you when the dog is finished. I waited in my car for over an hour and a half, waiting for someone to call and they never did. I finally called to see if my dog was ready. They said yes. When I walked in, I asked why didn't anybody call to let me know my dog was finished. Kristen literally started screaming at me that she said 20 minutes and that it was 20 minutes, however it was well over an hour and a half. She said that Donna the owner could prove that by my credit card. Donna confirmed that it was well over an hour and a half. Kristin the groomer became even more irate. I was so stunned and shakened that I thought my dog was being groomed on the table because there was an identical dog with an identical haircut being groomed. I said is that my dog on the table? And she started screaming what, you don't even know your own dog what are you stupid! When she got my dog out of the cage my dog was shaking like a leaf as was I and she slammed the leash into my hand. As I was leaving Donna and Kristen were screaming, get the F out of here and don't ever come back. The worst part was that when I got home I saw a wound that Kristen made by cutting him on his backside by his tail and he was clearly in pain. I then filed a police report! I have tried to send photos with this review of my dogs wound, but somehow I am not able to do it. I did however send the photos to Kristen when she texted me to try to do damage control, her text was pathetic! I just read your response to my review... Nice try! The dog never had a scab on his body and it wasn't his leg it was his backside you should've looked at the pictures I sent Kristen. As for me coming and screaming, that's laughable. Who would walk through the door trying to pick up their dog screaming at people. You know what happen, And you know why it happened, but I feel bad for you because it must be hard to maintain a business with such an incompetent and dangerous groomer and also you yourself being so angry and obnoxious. read more

Still 5 stars but we had to bring Roger back, there wasn't anything wrong with him. He was perfect but our current rabbit wasn't too happy and well, as it goes with rabbits, it's important to find them the right partner. We wish sweet Roger the best in finding his forever home. I regret taking my dog to this Salon they have no idea how to cut a dogs hair let alone their nails as well. It's like they made it their mission to leave some parts of her hair uncut and some parts cut at extremely short lengths. The person who cut her hair wasn't even all their, something that I could tell from even a brief 5 minute conversation with her. If you're looking to get your dogs haircut here even if it is with a Groupon I would not recommend it at all. read more

We took our 4 year old rescue dog to Kristen yesterday and she was the best! He is generally a very friendly dog until he is either in the environment of the vet or the groomer. I have to say that Kristen and him hit it off and he did great! She is more than patient and was so kind to him and washed him thoroughly and did a really good job with his haircut. More than reasonably priced as well. This visit made a very big difference to us and we will be back to see Kristen! read more

Groomer is great! Very nice helpful. Now the other day i come in with my little puppy looking for a harness and got zero help. I literally sat on the floor for 10 plus minutes trying to fit her and get the right one. Nothing! Gentlemen with long hair just kept chatting away with what looked liked a volunteer that was actually working. Finally as im walking out the door harness less he asked if i was ok. Yes wonderful. Anyway took my business down the street to Plaza pet. Felix custom fit my pup with harness without me saying anything. Thats customer service! read more

We always bring our dog Cookie to Donna's for grooming. They do a great job and are very nice. My dog never hesitated to go in and seems to like going. They also let you use their wash facilities for a small fee if you'd rather wash your pet yourself but don't want your bathroom to become a mess. I thought was a neat option. read more

I would have given a 5-star review, but the store could be (quite a bit) bigger. They have all the "good stuff" I really need for my dog. The most healthful choice for food, treats, and toys are always available. When they are out-of-stock or do not normally carry the item for which I am looking, they will order it... or a noticeably better option for a negligible difference in price. But, often the price is lower than their "super-sized" competitors! The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly... but, also respectful when one just wants to browse. I believe the only thing missing from Donna's Pet Depot... room for more stock and variety. It is more of a "Pit-Stop" than a "Depot", currently. Relative to the big competitors, however, it is aesthetically superior... like a small "Fairway" for pets. Hopefully, they will grow into a larger space as their number of regular customers grows. Their current location, however, is hard to beat for convenience. One can cross off many tasks on one's to-do list with little or no additional driving and parking. read more

I decided to use Donna's pet depot for grooming my adorable maltipoo rescue which was a big mistake. My pet has been groomed at another groomer for years and they did a great job. I decided to use Donna's because it was closer to my home. A 2 hour grooming turned into a 3 hr grooming and when I got there Kristen complained how difficult it was to groom him because he has a protruding tongue, he likes to lick and she was afraid she would cut his tongue off! My dog always had a tongue that was too large for his little mouth. As I looked at my little guy I noticed his tongue was bruised. When I showed Donna and Kristen there was no reaction or apology. Kristen just said his tongue stays out. And then she said "by the way he has a cyst on his face". Kristen clearly stated she "At first I thought it was "Gook" and tried to "get it off" and then said she thought it might be a cyst". Obviously she picked at it. She clearly stated she did not leave the cyst alone and did disturb it. I have never been told my pet has a cyst on his face. I wash his face all the time and never felt or saw it. When I got in the car I saw how red and raw the area was under his hair that was covering it and it looked like an injury that was picked at. I felt awful for him. So I held him for a minute and then took him home. I was very upset. I should have went directly back into the store because when I got home and called Donna and sent her pictures of the injury she basically dismissed me and said I should have showed her at the store. The picture was taken immediately when I got home. It's extremely disturbing that she would treat a customer and their pet in such a dismissing way. Donna's email response after sending her pictures: "Thank you for sharing the pictures of -his- cyst. It does seem to have gotten much worse since -he- left the store. As you can see from the attached picture taken right before -he-left, Kristen left the cyst undisturbed and informed you of it when you picked him up. It was not red and raw at that point. Unfortunately what happened after you left is not our responsibility." Donna sent me a picture of my pet's face with his hair covering the injury! And why did she have a picture of my pet's face with the injury covered if no injury was sustained?? Really .... why did they take a picture of him before I got there- Trying to cover their butts! Also his bruised tongue was totally unacceptable . If Kristen is a skilled groomer she should be trained on how to handle dogs that have protruding tongues.Unfortunately what happened at your store today was your responsibility... so own up to it Donna. Not a good way to do business! I highly DO NOT recommend Donna's Pet Depot if you love you pet. read more

An overall great place. Forget Olive Garden, they really treat you like family at Donna's. All the employees are extremely knowledgeable about the products they are selling. This store is a great addition to the area! They have a wide array of food and toy products at prices comparable to big box stores. There is a groomer and dog wash. I find the staff to be super helpful. I went in looking for stairs for my dog to get up on my new bed and they went above and beyond to help.
