Rude, rushed and felt like I was an inconvenience to them! She actually put every single one of my donuts UPSIDE down in the box. Got home to all the glaze stuck to the bottom of the box and really ugly donuts. Didn't even get the donuts I wanted because she refused to grab the ones I was pointing at. Their donuts are very good, but unfortunately the customer service could be improved. During my visit, the employee who assisted me seemed upset and was not very friendly. When I asked for a specific donut, they responded by listing the available options in a way that came across as rude, ending with, "or what?" I don't usually leave negative reviews because I try to remember that people may be dealing with personal challenges that aren't visible to others. However, it's also important to remember that customers may be going through difficulties as well and deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. Not sure where some of these reviewers are eating, but it isn't at the Kolsa's that we know and love. We come into California regularly to go to fairs and festivals and make our home base just a couple of miles from this shop in Beaumont. Our tradition is to hit the neighboring Starbucks for our drinks and Kolsa's for some delicious donuts. The employees are always so nice and happy and get to know the customers. They remember that we come from Arizona and greet us, help us, and wish us safe travels each time we visit. The shop is small yet welcoming and they're always playing good music (usually Air1). We usually grab a donut each unless we're heading home that day and then we'll grab six. They also have drinks and sandwiches that we see many of the regulars grabbing for themselves, but we stick to the donuts or even the donut holes. Great place to stop if you're in the area and craving some delicious donuts. My favorites are the maple bars, and the apple filled. read more

So before I wrote this review, I went through the reviews on here. And yah, basically the same issue. The lady with the slick back hair, always has this nasty attitude. But this past Friday was exceptionally bad. I go in, nobody is at the front, I wait a bit, nothing. Then I go to the side where you can see into the kitchen and kindly say good morning. 3 other customers come in and now there's a line. She comes out with a bothered face and says "yes?." And I'm like "can I get this chocolate bar and this one" I don't know the name of each donut okay. I see one and I point at it. And she's like "which 'this one'"....hahaha the nerve. Really? I snap back and I say "this one." Not only am I pointing at it with my finger but I'm trying to assist her by showing her but she's just not bending down to see as it's one of the donuts further down. I'll end it there as the rest of the interaction wasn't pleasant. Btw there was like 2 other girls in the back from what I heard that she could have asked for help while the other 3 customers waited. Listen. If you're gonna be blasting Christian music over the speakers and come out looking like you ate the devil back there and you're upset that you have to deal with customers, the very customers that idk, make your business...then it's time to close the place down or get a job where you don't have to deal with people that early in the morning. I'm not going back. I'll drive out further to not have to see that that early in the morning. Also, change your music. These donuts are quite delicious. I liked the blueberry the best, but that's strictly an opinion. I saw people coming and going out of the store front door 5 full minutes while I was waiting on my coffee at Starbucks in the same plaza. I had to see why so many people were happy to be there and leave with bags and boxes of donuts. I liked my visit. I will return. read more

Service is pretty great. Once in a while I've gotten attitude or maybe it's just the way they can be. However, love the Christian Music in the background. Donuts overall are pretty good. I love the breakfast sandwiches- first time I got one it was great- second time found out it had mayo. Didn't know they come with mayo. Just wish I was advised that they had mayo in it. Not a fan of mayo for my breakfast sandwich. I sure do love mayo but I've never had a breakfast sandwich with mayo- and will never like it on my sandwich for that reason. Now I just got to remember about the no mayo. Overall place seems clean. My toddler loves the donuts so that's what makes it worth it. read more

The customer service was really lacking. One person behind the counter and there were three customers and that wasn't a major issue. I was third and a lady walked in while I was being served. They greeted each other and the lady asked how business was. The audacity of the worker to complain that it is so busy she didn't even have down time and she would think that with school being out already, it would be slow. She couldn't even service with a smile as you can see that she isn't about customers. I wasn't even done with my transaction and wanted to leave. Such a poor attitude. Not a big selection and super rude lady wish I would have gotten her name. She's Expecting me to name these donuts their exact name in order for her to put it in the box I don't know them ! Was really surprised by behavior that the employee showed this morning. The female employee young with a piercing in her eyebrow was blatantly rude to my teen to where he felt bad buying a dozen donuts. So i had to walk in and order. I thought the behavior wasn't going to be shown since a parent was doing the order, but no she was just as rude. Came in yesterday and this morning for a breakfast sandwich. Yesterday the woman at the front (dark hair in a bun) was kind of rude and unwelcoming, as she looked at me so coldly when I smiled at her and was practically running away to the back before I was finished ordering, but i figured maybe she had a bad day, and in the end my sandwich was pretty good and enjoyable. Today, same employee, and even more rude as if i should have known sandwiches weren't being served at the moment due to unknown reason since I didn't even want to ask as she was so snappy. So I left and don't know if I'll be back in--since I don't know when they'll be serving breakfast sandwiches. read more

Fresh? Yes! Soft and fluffy? Absolutely! Delicious? YES!!! I am so glad we stopped to get a dozen. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. I believe it was the owner who helped me, and he had me cracking up! The shop was very clean, and they had a huge variety of donuts and other goodies to choose from. I kept it pretty basic with the dozen that I got. I think it's always best to stick with the classics! We were not disappointed! Every donut was very fresh and tasty. I've came to this donut shop since 2019 because their donuts are pretty big and they're delicious! However, recently I've been coming more often because I'm pregnant and my cravings are donuts lol. I've noticed a worker (I don't know her name) she works in the front and she's always so rude. She doesn't greet you when she helps you, she just stares at you. Another time I had came in she was talking bad about the high school students with another customer and using profanity on the clock as she was describing these high school students. I understand the students are not well behaved but it's not at all professional to be gossiping with anyone. A simple greeting is also not fairly hard.
