I am extremely glad I found Marat on Yelp. I bought an older knowing that it needed an upgraded…read moreelectrical panel (the one from the seller was recalled). I called Marat, told him I wanted a 200 electrical panel, and he was able to quote me with an excellent price by seeing a picture via text of the existing electrical panel. Given that it was my first time buying a home and not knowing anything about permits and the procedure, Marat walked me through it. He advised that I needed to call LADWP to schedule an appointment with a tech who would mark the spot of the new meter. He then said once there is a meter spot, Marat will get to work --and he did immediately after I got the meter spot. In fact, Marat was there the next day! He worked on the panel for a couple of days, along with his son, and once he installed it, he took care of scheduling the appointment with LADBS. Since I saw how excellent Marat was as an electrician, I also had him install recess lighting in the living room, hallway, family room, and kitchen (amazing job) . I had him install 5 hardwired POE cameras throughout my house. And I also had him check all my GFCI outlets throughout the house and had him replace the ones not working. Marat is not only the ultimate professional who excels at his craft, but he is also very nice and easy going. I highly recommend him for any electrical job.

The setup was an older, commercial-style metal box with multiple conduits and confusing wiring that had me completely stuck. Noro and Varuzh arrived right on schedule and got straight to work. They were professional, efficient, and took the time to explain what went wrong without trying to upsell me on unnecessary work. Fair pricing, excellent communication, and true master electricians. Thank you, Noro and Varuzh--you saved the day!

I think it's really a 2.5 Stars but I'm rounding up to 3 Stars…read more Cost: I needed to get a dedicated electrical circuit installed for an over the stove microwave. BK Electric came out within a few days to take a look and give an estimate. I had received a lot of estimates for this project and BK Electric was in the lower middle range of the prices I got. Scheduling: This was honestly a nightmare. After I signed the contract and put down a deposit they scheduled me on a day for the following week. This outlet installation was required to be completed prior to a Costco purchased microwave delivery and installation appointment. They cancelled on me and needed to reschedule 3 separate times. Each time I was only notified the day of the scheduled appointment. This caused the follow on Costco microwave installation appointment to need to be rescheduled each time. To be fair to the person in the office, Eli, it wasn't his fault and he was properly scheduling and doing his best to get the electricians out to do the job. It was the electrians who either were calling out that day or last minute going to "higher priority" job sites. However, for the BK Electric as a whole, this is pretty terrible customer service. Work: The quality of the work seemed good. Where and how the ran the line and the junction box with the outlet installation all seemed cleanly done. However, there was an issue where they did not install a GFCI outlet in the new location that required it. This delayed the microwave installation since the Costco installers refused to install without a GFCI outlet. I had to call BK Electric and have them come back and fix it.

I found Ron on here 12 years ago when I moved into my house, and have never needed or wanted…read moreanother electrician. Ron is awesome: tremendously knowledgable, skilled and caring. I've utilized Ron's services at least 10-12 times over the years -- from simple jobs (installing ceiling fixtures) to intermediate jobs (hard wiring an EV charger to my electrical panel) to complex jobs (a garage renovation/conversion with all new wiring and a sub-panel added.) Ron came through each and every time. Never a problem. Never an issue he couldn't solve. And never something he couldn't explain, or didn't have the patience to explain, to a dolt like me. He is extremely giving of his time: not only does he not charge to assess the issue, but also he does not charge for follow-up questions once the job is complete. Nor does he charge to go shopping for a part or doodad you might need but that he does not have in stock on his truck. Yes, it might take you some time to get an appointment (especially if you are a new customer) because Ron is quite deservedly in high demand, and he also prioritizes existing customers over new ones. (Which I am of course biased when I say I think that's a great philosophy!) And he's also not the most punctual person you've ever met. So if you have an absolute *emergency* then Ron is likely not going to be the fastest one to your home. But if you have any job where planning, fastidiousness and professionalism takes precedence over speed, I am confident that you will not find a better electrician for the job than Ron.
