My home town had a lot of Korean fried chicken so eating here was nostalgic for me. The batter of the chicken was fried to perfection and the meat is so juicy and tender. My favorite flavor is the soy and I tried the garlic but I did not like that. It is expensive but you can tell how fresh it is when you get it so it's worth the splurge. read more

Being from Hawaii where KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) is available everywhere, this place is the real deal. Juicy, with a crunchy exterior which defines KFC. So far, we've just ordered the whole chicken and warm up the left overs the next day in the oven. We love Canes and Chick fil A as well but KFC is a whole different kind of chicken. So for those who love the flavor of bone in chicken but don't like the bones, ordering a half or whole chicken is the perfect compromise. I got a half original crispy, and half spicy, the 2nd to the hottest. It was absolutely delicious, and I would be in trouble if I lived in Lubbock because I would eat here all the time. Got a TOGO order from here. The best fired chicken in LBK. We ordered 1/2 original and 1/2 Korean special sauce. Recommend both! We also got the rice cakes in sauce. Absolutely love this place. I make an effort to come here at least every Saturday for the same order and it never disappoints. The owners are friendly and the staff reflects that as well. The wait can be long depending on how soon you place your order (better to do it in advance), but know that your food is freshly cooked every time because of this. The chicken here is amazing! I've had Korean fried chicken in LA and this place blows it away. There are so many different sauces to choose from, we had the dak kang Jung special sauce, and the honeybee and both did not disappointment. The dak kang Jung was spicy but had enough sweetness that made me want to lick the sauce off my fingers. The honeybee had just the right amount of sweet. All the chicken was coated just right so that you could still taste the crispy/flaky batter and of course...the chicken! The owners there were super nice and the place was clean. You do have to wait a little...but that's expected if you want fresh hot chicken made to order...worth the wait. I saw signs where you can order online if you are in a time crunch (plenty of parking outside). We'll definitely be coming again. I wish I took photos but honestly...everything looked so good we started scarfing away immediately. read more

I passed by and noticed there was a new Korean chicken place in Lubbock. "Yayyy" was my initial reaction. Their menu is pretty limited and they were out of a few things. I settled on the spicy chicken bowl. It's really spicy, like a sweeter type spicy. The chicken is only thigh meat which I didn't care for. Bowl comes with a small size of veggies over lots of white rice. There's also a side of coleslaw. Ive never had coleslaw in Korea...but ok! I ordered inside and waited about 10 minutes for my food. They also sell chicken wings. I inquired about whether you could get just drums or wings. They said no so I didn't order. All in all, 3 stars out of 5. It's okay. Wow, never had such good korean fried chicken. And I live in Houston and we have tons of good places to eat. Seriously a random gem in a random city. Wait time can be a little long, but thats how you know its fresh. I would suggest calling in ahead of time. I had the original crispy and hot crispy. Hot crispy wasn't what I expected, but still very good. It's not covered in hot sauce, but rather the batter its fried in is hot. They package it real well so it keeps its crispiness and doesn't get soggy. I took mine to my hotel and ran errands and it was still piping hot and crispy after like 30 mins. Best thing is the boneless chicken. It's not like boneless chicken you get at buffalo wild wings or chilis, where it looks like those weird frozen pieces from the freezer aisle. Rather, its actually chicken pieces which I think they debone from a chicken and batter then fry. Definitely check this place out! read more
