I ordered the: Fataya Beef 5/5 Tiebou Dine White, Wékh (fish & broken rice) 3.5/5 Dibi (jollof & lamb) 3.5/5 Cassava Leaf 3.5/5 Juices hibiscus and ginger 5/5 Overall I'll keep trying other African spots. This won't be my top pick. The price was like $24.99 for each entree and I feel like you can get other nicer restaurants in the area for better pricing and quality. Coming from one West African to another. The food doesn't have any spice a mild flavor. They give you pepper sauce on the side. The ambiance is very casual!

Its seeds that's seasoned with salt and pepper, but they over charge for it, yes I bought one, but it was so small, I was shocked, and that explains probably why it doesn't sell as much. The next snack was the mango seasoned with salt and pepper, that was awesome, and the size was great as well. I also ordered cheb-jann but the rice was overwhelming seasoned with that dried fish or stuff that gives it a tangy taste and a unique aroma. The fish and veggies were perfect. Now, the grilled lamb wasn't as great, the lamb wasn't tender and there was no taste to it. Even though they claimed to have seasoned it, I couldn't taste any seasoning. But their fataya is the absolute best. The way they make it, soft, tender, filled with seasoned meaty sauce. Yummy.

This is a very humble establishment that runs on African time but serves really authentic cuisine. Go here solely for the food. Better if you can do a take out order. I had grilled lamb with spinach, jollof rice and sweet plantains. Just amazing. I also did a take out order of Ndolle (goat with some bitter leaf gravy). Loved it. There are too many issues with the restaurant. Outdated ambience, super super slow service, difficulty communicating with the staff which resulted in some extra side dishes I ended up paying for, their website doesn't work, the prices they charged were a bit more than what was on the menu (basically outdated menus) and the list simply goes on. Inspite of all these issues, I would still go there because none of those issues seemed intentional. I didn't see foul play. The manager/owner Patrick and the server/cashier Agbenfa both seemed naive and humble. They tried to make sure I enjoyed the food. I also feel I may have gotten lucky because the food that was served to me was hot. (Not cold or room temp like some of the others mentioned) I went on a Friday night. I would have to try a few more times before judging if the food is consistent. But the two entrees and the three sides I tried were all phenomenal. It also helps if you know what you are getting but I like to try new things especially when I am going to authentic places and I don't mind taking small risks. Oh the portions were huge. When it took 30 mins for the lady to come take my order, I was all set to leave the place and was prepared for a 1star experience as I started reading the reviews. But I'm glad my patience served me well. I wasn't in a rush. It was a lazy Friday evening. Lazy enough to stick around long enough to try their food.

The restaurant aesthetics were STUNNING! However, the bathroom needs a renovation. FOOD/DRINKS: The mocktail I had was refreshing and very delicious. I want to thank the owner for the excellent service, experience, and recommendations. I ordered the 3-courrse Tasting Menu. The fufu and okra were okay. The shrimp appetizer was delicious, but the sauce was a bit spicy. For my entree, I had the Gambian Jollof rice which was okay and the oxtail stew, which was so good. Lastly, the owner recommended the bread pudding cake with pecan ice-cream. That was SO, SO, SO DELICIOUS!!!! The overall experience: 10/10 except the bathroom, which was spacious but not as clean and stylish as I would have expected. That was a 5/10. Want more authentic opinions? To my surprise this establishment was pretty empty for a Sunday but who cares about that. The drinks were very good and everything was made fresh in house with fresh ingredients even down to the ginger lemonade. I indulged in the veggie omelet with the salad and boy was it amazing. Whatever dressing they used on that salad, I wanted to take a bottle home with me. It was that good. My friends really enjoyed the suya because it was so flavorful. But would pass on the greens because they were sweet. This place is pretty pricy but well worth a try.
