It was the worst…read morerepresentation and experience I have had with any real estate agent and I have purchased homes in the past. To this day, there are still issues with the property that are unresolved. 1) while the home was under contract, the previous owner decided to get a permit from the city and cut trees on the property. I never agreed to this let alone having any knowledge prior to the chopping of the trees. When I asked Bill about it, I learned he was fully aware and made it sound like no big deal. To this day they have still not complied with the city's requirement to replant. 2) the property I purchased has private beach access rights. During the contract I learned that the previous owner never paid his dues. Bill reassured me multiple times that it would not impact me in any way. In fact during escrow we wrote a statement that the dues were the responsibility of the previous owner. To this day, now June of 2015 I still do not have access to the private beach. I only learned last week from the beach Club that Bill has been part of the communications and was fully aware that this would impact the new owner as the over due dues are linked to the property; not the ownership. These are only two examples of what I am going through. My strong recommendation is to not utilize this company or agent as there are clear ethical issues.

Management has progressively gone downhill in the two years I've lived here. You have to beg management to get answers on just about everything. If you do get an answer, you feel like a burden. They'll make changes to the lock system without notifying residents. Your rent amount will be wrong and it'll take months to get in touch with somebody to correct it. There are major security issues and break ins that management refuses to adequately address. It truly feels like the only person who cares is the maintenance dude. Save yourself the hassle and live in a different building.

I agree with what both of the first two reviewers said: great neighborhood to live in (minus the…read morehorrible amounts of construction going on), nice neighbors, but stifling hot because of NO airflow in studio and one bedrooms not on corners, and NO street parking :( The BIGGEST problem though is that though we moved out last December at the end of our lease, and were refunded a portion of our deposit, SIX months later we have been called by a collection agency for a carpet cleaning bill that occurred after the deposit refund that was outstanding because of a supposed "clerical" error. We were never sent a second bill, and even if we had been sent one, we were NO LONGER under contract with them, so they have no legal right to charge us for a second carpet cleaning that happened after our deposit had been refunded. Complete bullshit. BEWARE of getting entangled in any lease agreement with this building or any of the Mack Urban group apartments. Apparently it never ends and they can charge you whenever and for whatever they want, and if you don't pay up they will try to ruin your credit.

The new lobby mural and seasonal decorations, new bulk high-speed internet, the increased frequency of cleaning the common areas, the security measures for package delivery, and so much more -- I seriously appreciate the effort this new team is putting in in making The Grove a better community all around! Christy the Community Manager has been incredibly helpful and insanely fast to respond to inquiries, and is quick to communicate everything important to the community as a whole! The maintenance team is also fantastic - shout out to Samuel who is always there to help quickly and efficiently.
