I got pre approved for the buy before you sell cash offer program. Flyhomes presented a certain set of terms to me and I accepted them and gave permission to run my credit. Pre approval was good for 90 days. FlyHomes rescinded the pre approval after about 55 days and tried to change the terms of pre approval due to their own internal policy changes regarding their buy before you sell program - not due to any changes in my finances. I was to be selling a condo and they happened to change their policy to exclude condos sales from the buy before you sell program some time after issuing my pre approval. I recognize it's flyhomes right to change their policies but a change in policy should not retroactively affect my pre approval. I've been mulling over this review for awhile now. We all love these things to be clever and cute, but what can I say about Flyhomes that hasn't been said before? Well, anyway. My husband and I were not first time homebuyers when we started, but we were making a major move from one competitive housing market to another (San Francisco Bay Area to Seattle). I knew that would require more than your typical real estate agent. With Flyhomes, what we got was an entire team, coordinated, to make every part of this process as quick and painless as possible. Our journey started with the very personable Sassan, who immediately made my husband and I feel at ease and in good hands. They offer some very innovative programs that Sassan walked us through. Great experience buying our first home in a competitive market. Clint Rogers went the extra mile with personality and panache to hold our hands through a very fast turn around time (we met him on a Sunday morning and were under contract on a purchase in under 24 hours). In this crazy housing market flyhomes is the best chance to win a desired home. I was a first time home buyer and had no luck with other agents. Wendy was an amazing agent she was always on top of things, scheduling inspections and tours for us. Overall 5 stars indeed. Shout out to Monica and Grace who helped me purchase my house. I highly recommend Flyhomes. I'll list pros and cons about Flyhomes: Pros: 1. Teamwork. You will meet lots of tour guides from the same company - at first I thought that's fine but turns out to be the most exceptional quality for this company - I have received lots of hones comments/feedbacks from them, and avoided lots of bad homes. 2. Speed. Once you made your decision, they'll work on your offer day and night(literally) - usually it takes just a few hours for them to draft you a letter. If you happen to choose flyhome mortgage (I think their rate is good but my pool is very limited) you will be close your offer within 15 days. 3. Refund. 1% refund is pretty generous from buyer's perspective. I met a few agents and they just want to provide some free moving - which is like 0.1% refund? 4. They have a pretty good sense of the market - again I think that's because of their teamwork, some people are doing great analysis. Cons: 1. Their app. You can view listing on their app (sad face); and You need to book your tour on their app. :( :( (double sad face) Fortunately my agent is super nice and I always nag her to book tours on behalf of me on their system. But basically people communicate using Redfin screenshot - which is pretty common in the agent industry I think. 2. Still refund - I know some agents can do 1.5% however basically you are on your own and they simply provide basic service such as drafting offer. If you are veteran - you may save $K on that with lots of paperwork time. If you are new, hmmm, just don't go that way. read more
