Was it an off day? Were they recovering from a massive sales event? I have to admit that while Kohl's is usually pretty solid and I'm not one who cares much about everything being "just so" I was a little bothered by this location. To start, there was a lot of stuff on clearance. I actually love that. But there are well-organized clearance racks and there are haphazard clearance racks. Today was the latter. I've been to other locations when even clearance items were still organized by size. And one rack has pants, the next shirts. While tops v. bottoms were somewhat sorted, there wasn't any rhyme or reason in each rack. Sizes and styles spread out over the rack and between several racks, facing every which way. I understand that if I'm cruising for clearance stuff I have to live with a certain level of neglect, but this was subpar. Even in the regular-priced section there were problems. Ties were a mess. Some scattered on the floor, mixed brands on one rack, bowties spread out throughout the neckties. Just a little tidying would do. And not everything followed this pattern--I just happened to shop a few sections that did. Their lines move smoothly and this location gets a big thumbs up you're looking to shop at other mega stores nearby. Jordan Landing has the biggest of the bigs. read more

I really like kohls. Although their prices look high at first glance, when you factor in discounts they're on a par with Target but the quality is superior. I got a great lined leather winter coat that was marked at $260 originally for about $125 after discounts. I've bought most of my clothes there for about 8 years now. And they will still take returns if you've lost/misplaced the receipt. read more

It seems its not just an "off day" with this Khol's location. My visit this evening was just like the other reviewers described. All of the clothes were mixed up, and I'm not just talking about the clearance section. If you happened to find something you liked, you had to search the surrounding racks to find that item in the size/color you were looking for. And the dressing rooms were not much better. We visited two different dressing rooms and they were, quite frankly, gross. I had to put my baby on the ground (as they don't have regular shopping carts that I could have placed her in) and it was covered with grossness/choking hazards. I've been to Khols about 3x and all the experiences have been very draining. Today I went for some birthday shopping with my mom and the store was a mess. All the clothes are very disorganized. I had no idea where anything was! There were just clothes over flowing on racks everywhere! My shopping experience was draining and to make things worse, the lines were SUPER long. There always seems to be a line that wraps around. I was so confused and you could tell everyone else was. Customer Service? Where? I saw no one who worked there on the floor the whole 2 hours I was there. The prices are not as cheap as I expected. I'm not going to give Khols another shot. I'm done and frustrated. This location is a tad nicer though than other locations I've been to. It's a typical Kohls - clothes racks overstuffed which leads to a lot of clothes on the floor. Clearance sections are a nightmare. There will be huge sections of merchandise gone. Yhis past time I went to the bedding and a whole section of the wall that was from floor to ceiling had about 3 pillows on it. Not 3 kinds, 3 pillows. I don't get it. What really irritates me the most about this place is hope snobby the employees are. They act they work at Dillard's or Nordstrom. They don't smile or sound friendly and even sit on the counters when there's a line. They aren't apologetic about waiting times and there is usually one, sometimes two cashiers to help all of us. Customer service is decent. There's usually only one back there, but I've always had a nice employee who apologizes about the wait and tells us she will be right with you. A minor thing that kind of sucks is the electronic price screens. They're all really dark and I have to crouch down or turn it to see the price. No lie that you can't beat the prices though. read more

This Kohl's Department Store was messy and disorganized, which really surprised me. There were clothes on the floor in every department and the racks were jumbled and unkempt. Although I don't shop at Kohl's very often, when I have shopped there in the past I found their stores to be much better cared for. I'm not sure if I caught this store on a bad day or something, but as I watched employees mill about no one seemed to care or take any notice of the areas which needed clean-up and organization. read more

It was like a ghost town here on a Tuesday morning--a big sale starts tomorrow so maybe people are saving up for that. There were only a few other shoppers besides me and my sister. The store was fairly organized except for the junior girls' section. I didn't go in any dressing rooms. The only cashier was at the jewelry counter. I love their children's books/stuffed animals for charity (I bought four for my grandson). Lots of easy parking. read more

My dress pants for work ripped and I needed a new pair. Thought, hey, there's that Kohl's in Jordan Landing, I'll go there. I'm a big guy, so I thought a store this size would have something for me. Sadly, I was mistaken. They have clothes for skinny people, but not Big and Tall. Thousands of products and two meager stand alones for us bigger people. Apparently they had a big sale at some point, because, the clothing part of the store looked like crap. the aisles were clear, so the chaos was confined to the racks and shelves. I would say 80% of the clothing was strewn across the shelves. I found some employees sitting on the floor doing inventory, there was one other lady manning the front cashier booth and a guy that told me I would have to order online. As I told the customer service person at Kohl's customer service, what's the point of having a HUGE brick and mortar store, if I will have to go online to order my intended item? Will I go back to Kohl's? Not a chance. read more

I usually love Kohls but this one seemed to be extra disorganized. There were clothes in all of the aisles to be sorted. The children's section had clothes falling off hangers everywhere you looked. The clearance was ALL clothes that were missing shirts or pants from sets. I understand a few but I couldn't find hardly anything that was a set. My other compliant were the workers. They were so unprofessional. Talking LOUDLY to each other and complaining about shirts falling off hangers, whining to the manager that there wasn't a spot to put a certain item. It was very uncomfortable to listen to and made me want to get out of there much more quickly than I normally would. This is the closest Kohls to my house but I will be trying the other two near me before coming back to this location. read more

The coolest thing about Kohl's is their electronic prices on the top of clothing racks. I bet that makes the lives of employees there so much better. Or maybe not? I don't know, I imagine working at Kohl's would be horrible no matter what...or any retail location for that matter. That aside, you get very inexpensive clothing and household goods here but quality is also lacking. If I buy a pair of pants here I leave grateful I only spent 18 dollars, but then their falling apart off of my body in the strangest way 9 months later. I still feel like it's worth it. The customer service person I talked with at Kohls are rude and harassing me since I forgot to pay May's payment for $25.00. Even though when he called I had arranged to make up for the May and June payment and it was scheduled to be paid during my regular payment time he harassed me and threatened if I waited that my credit would be affected. If this is how they treat loyal customers maybe they need to be skipped. Their clothes aren't great and the customer service is even worse. read more

The cashier that we used could not even ring up two items correctly. We were not so much in a hurry but did not have any time to waste, and after letting her know she didn't seem to appreciate that fact. Her nails were a hinderance and she could not put in a coupon. Then after screwing up, while knowing we were short on time, she proceeded to tell us that we needed to go to customer service. This review isn't so much for the store itself as it is for the customer service I received yesterday. I had bought a Tek sports bra earlier in the day at the West Valley store on 5600 West. I saw a top there that I wanted but they didn't have it in my size so I decided to stop at the Jordan Landing store on the way home to see if they had it. I remember thinking when the bra rang up it was more than I was expecting. I thought it was on sale for $19.99 and I was charged the full price of $30.00. But since I had used my 3 year anniversary $5.00 gift card I decided to go ahead and keep it. Anyway on my way home I stopped to pick up the top at the Jordan Landing store and passed by the Tek sports bra display. The price there for the same bra that I had bought at the West Valley store was $19.99 on sale. So, after purchasing the top, I went out to my car and got the bra to go back in and get a refund. I stood in line for a very long time while one poor young lady tried to help a customer who wanted to return something but even though she had a receipt, it wouldn't let them put the money back on her credit card. She said something about it being a new card because something had happened to the one that she had made the purchase on but even though it was the same account it wouldn't put the refund on it. The young lady that was helping her asked for assistance from a lady that I assume was a manager. The manager was not helpful at all and was rude to both the customer and the other customer service representative. Anyway, I'm not sure how that all ended but that's not why I'm writing although it helps to show the poor customer service that is being given in the customer service department. When I got up to the desk, I was "assisted" by the lady that I assume was a manager. I wish I had gotten her name because I could register a proper complaint to Kohls. I went up and explained the situation and she at first said that she couldn't honor the West Valley price because it wasn't their store. She didn't even try to hear me out. So I said that the price was the same at the West Jordan store because I had just passed the sign and that's what it said too. She continued to say that it wasn't because it didn't ring up that way when she scanned it. I again told her that the sign said it was $19.99. She finally asked another associate to go check the price and call her back. When the phone rang she just went over and started ringing up my refund. She didn't say a word to apologize for the way she had treated me, didn't admit her mistake, nothing. Just rang up the refund. As she handed me the in-store credit card she said something about having the sign fixed. So I said "so the sign is wrong?" and she said yes. Well, I didn't believe her because the West Valley store had the same sign out. I'm pretty sure she knew she was wrong but just didn't want to admit it. She was very rude in the way she treated me. Today, I decided that I would check the price online to see if I was right or not. Low and behold the online price says $19.99. I've never had any problems with returning things at any Kohls store before so I was very surprised at the poor customer service I received. Hopefully the lady was just having a bad day but even so, there is no excuse for being rude to customers. read more
