I love using the Waterbury Kohl's for Amazon returns and chose it whenever the need arises. The young lady working there, Kelsey, is always kind and positive every time I go. She is also very knowledgeable about the returns and is always very helpful when I have questions. When one of my returns was to go to Whole Foods instead of Kohl's, she informed me that I would be able to change the return for Kohl's. I have never encountered this before and she took the time to help me figure it out and saved me from the hassle. Not to mention the coupons she gives out are always a nice touch. read more

All Kohls suck with the shipping of makeup/delicate products! If ordering 10 items in one purchase online, they ship out 1 at a time. some tiny items shipped in huge amounts of sticky bubbles, some delicate items shipping in a plastic mailer! thin plastic bag type mailer. They move all over, no protection & come crushed to pieces sometimes. wth is up with the shipping. If I buy in 1 order, ship in 1 box w/ some kind of protective materials in the box. Some shippers are really mentally challanged. so sick of receiving broken makeup! Kohls! you suck! & some of your shipping ppl suck too. disgusted! read more

Is there no cool styled clothing for women??? I used to love Kohls selections and shopped there frequently. Haven't been in a number a few years but put on some weight and really needed a few things in the next size up. There is a great selection of women's fashion... if you're shopping for Mrs. Doubtfire!! What, pray tell is up with the frumpy ruffles, puffy sleeves and 80's school teacher style??? I might be 60 but I wouldn't be caught dead in any of that. I live an active lifestyle and am young for my age. I'm not ready to start dressing like my grandma. I could not find anything decent in a size large. Most sizes I saw were XS and XXL. Not to mention I need a basic outfit for job interviews, casual yet trendy (if that's the right word) Sadly, I won't be back. read more

I'm a Kohls MVP member. Which just means that you or your wife spend too much at their stores. Can you guess which one of us it is? Anyway. Waterbury is the closest store to me. Its on my way home from work. It's great for when your in a pickle or need to last minute gifts. They love to play the price game as most clothing stores do. I've watched a suit change price like 3 times in a month span. No joke. Their sales aren't always sales. If your in next time. Write down some SKUs and watch the "sale pricing" change before your eyes. Waterbury Kohls is fairly clean. Each aisle and section is neatly organized but I'm afraid that they have too many people do that and not enough at the registers. This location notorious for understaffing their registers during peak times/holiday season. I'm never in/out in 5 mins. Its always a 12-15 min wait (sometimes longer). Who is managing this place!? Its massive! Ill be back but that's doest mean I'm thrilled to do so. Get more people for your registers! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would . I had went in towards closing time quickly looking for a pot to replace my old one and this rude older lady named Cathy or Kathy however you spell it was just terrible and gave such awful service. Instead of kindly letting me know the store was closed she yelled "the store is closed!!" . I could not believe the audacity she had to say it in such a rude manner and the. When I told her she was being rude she snapped back at me " I wasn't being rude !!" She is a fine example of how not to act with customers. Whoever hired her clearly had very poor judgment and they must've been desperate. I will never go shopping there again thanks to her! read more

I'm not going to lie- I absolutely love kohls and stop here frequently. It's worth it to have the kohls charge card for all the discounts! However, I recently had an experience here that left my blood boiling and made me feel very uncomfortable that I left almost on the verge of tears. There's one employee, Marie, here that I try to avoid at all costs as I have heard stories very similar to mine. Well, one day I was trapped. I'm not sure who the other associate was since her back was towards me but she had called all the registers to not let me pass my items through. Granted, I told her in the beginning that since there were three of us we were going to do three separate transactions to get the most out of the coupons we had. My mom did a transaction with the coupon and used her debit card. Then I used a different coupon and my credit card. Finally, she wouldn't let my husband use HIS coupon because I was still standing there and I had used mine off my phone, but his coupon happened to be from the mailer. I spoke to a manager who didn't seem surprised when I told him of the incident and that really worries me. How many times can an associate be reprimanded and still continue to treat customers with such disrespect? read more

I only shop at Kohl's if I have a 30% off coupon or Kohl's cash and only because I have a Kohl's credit card. Using the coupons can be complicated sometimes, as not all brands comply with the discount, like Nike & under Armor to name a few. After a shopping trip to Kohl's,I often express to my teenage children "I am never going to shop there anymore, I am going to cut up my credit card!!" Not thrilled with Kohl's, recently went to one in waterbury ct. they had a lot in stock. The changing rooms only one section in woman's dept was open. The clothes they sell are over priced and they don't last. One wash one wear and strings and stitches coming undone. Colors fade. I stopped shopping at kohls because I can't afford to spend money on clothing that's not well made not well designed. Why do they sell these clothing lines. The The shoes dept never stocked with a variety of sizes. And all those sneakers you can buy elsewhere much cheaper. Even with your coupons. Never found the staff to be helpful or friendly. read more

I'm not a frequent Kohl's shopper, but when I do go to Kohl's I try to go and see if there is something for us in each section. Since we are a family of five there is something we each need most of the time. Most of the time I come here I spend over an hour looking at the sales and trying things on...well this is the third time I've been at this location and no matter what, someone always starts following me around!!! It's the worst most uncomfortable feeling especially when you are trying to shop. I literally watch the associates come into my section when I am looking for my size ect. , look around do nothing then walk away. This time they even sent a guy to stand near the registers to probably wait for the alarms to go off as I left the store. This is terrible..yes I know people do steal but I am a professional and work hard and do not steal. When I do come, I get a lot of things!! Kid you not I will not be shopping at this store again! It's no fun trying to get things you need and being followed, it's not right. read more

I love shopping at Kohls but had never been to this store before until yesterday. I'm a regular Costco shopper and needed dress clothes for my son so I stopped in. It took me 2 hrs(!) to find dress clothing for him. I went to the young men's department and there were hardly any small's. I then went to the men's dress clothes department. I've never seen such a mess in a clothing store! Maybe only after a Black Friday have I ever seen such disarray! For the dress shirts, none of the sizes were in the right bins and there were many out of package shirts opened and WADDED UP and shoved into the bins. For the pants, brands and styles were all mixed in (Hagar on the dockers rack, classic pleat on the flat front rack, size 42 where the 30/32's should be. It was an absolute mess! After an HOUR I finally found 1 pair of 29/32's. If I weren't shopping for an event that night I would have left! The 1 lukewarm cashier was 4 deep with customers. Before another was called to assist, this cashier was taking security tags off of a shirt that a woman WAS WEARING! This should of been handled at the customer service desk, not at a main register. She had to come around the back of the register to reach the device to remove it. Plus, why would you wear such a shirt back to the store? Most people would have brought it back in a bag with the receipt! Very bizarre people! Hopefully she showed a receipt. Likely won't shop here again. First time I've ever said that about a Kohls. I hope the store manager reads this and fixes these issues. read more

Waiting w 6 people in line in front of me- one register open- I'm not happy! Poor girl checking us all out!!

Believe it or not, I actually liked this store. It was a bit messy, but I blame the clientele more than the staff. Found quality products at a somewhat cheaper price. Went in there for a halloween costume, and walked out with formalwear for everyday use as well as the clothing pieces I needed for the design. Some items were not as marked (working in retail, i learned to always look at the tags and not the signs above the rack), I honestly think this is because there are workers who are just dropping off clothes where they will fit instead of their appropriate place (again worked in retail and know how things are done sometimes). There were plenty of cashiers and practically no lines despite the store being super busy (could be why the floor suffered so much). Staff was also very friendly and willing to help. I will be returning here for more clothing for work and plan to get pictures and the whole done deal. Parking lot is huge and for being in waterbury, is in a spot where you don't have to worry about leaving it in there for a while. Highly recommend this store to anyone looking for an outfit for a special occasion and who doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg on it. read more

This store is very disorganized and what I think was a manager was yelling out order at her staff instead of walking up to them and doing it in a professional manor. The home decor section was trashed and I was picking merchandise up off the floor. I have never seen a kohls messed up like this. read more
