There are no Kohls in the area where I currently live which is why when I do visit the Hamilton area, we stop by. We were only there to help the kids and grandkids do some "back to school" clothes shopping. Their clothing selection is very good as are their prices. My wife is always able to find special discounts via her Kohls credit card or other promotional items which leave her with the feeling that she was able to get the clothing for almost nothing. I personally haven't been inside a Kohls in at least 5 years so I'm not the best reference for the store vibe or layout. I was surprised at the checkout process. It seemed to go very quickly, but I could also see that it could be an issue during the holidays. Maybe? Maybe not! This Kohl's location seems to exemplify exactly why brick-and-mortar department stores are going the way of the dodo. The store takes up a fairly massive plot in Hamilton Marketplace, but the space is poorly arranged. It is always simultaneously understocked and disorganized. Aisles have merchandise strewn about and are crammed together with seemingly no rhyme or reason. Customer Service is at the very front of the store, customer Self-Pick-Up is all the way in the back, yet sometimes online orders are split between the two locations? There are a few really helpful employees, but the majority are at best disinterested and at worst outright rude. Even accounting for the rude ones, this location is perpetually understaffed. On top of all of these issues, prices just generally aren't that great. As such, Kohl's seems to take up a retail space even it isn't sure about. Too expensive and not comprehensive enough to compete with Walmart or Target, not high enough quality to be considered along side Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus, it seems like Kohl's may be well on their way to emulating Sears and KMart. read more

I'm a bit surprised I'm going 4 on this one, only a slight round up. And I have been in this location before, maybe I just didn't buy anything? I had to make a Xmas return, it was from a relative who only sees me 2-3 times per year, and never in the types of clothes she decides to give me as a gift. I usually donate them but this one had a tag and I was told Kohl's would take it back. No gift receipt mind you, but a tag at least..... With Covid I've put off replacing some wardrobe items so I thought that with the credit I'd buy a pair of jeans. The return was simple, 2 employees were manning customer service and it was relatively slow still. The kind woman asked if I had a receipt and I told her no, she had to give me the lowest recent price($7.99! If you were curious) and I laughed. She helpfully tried to explain that it was the policy and not her fault. She misunderstood my laugh and I explained that I was not upset by this, it seemed about right for this relative. That's probably what they paid.... So I took my $8(thoughtfully rounded up by this employee) and went pants shopping. The selection of Levi's was vast, along with other possible candidates. The sale was buy 1 get 1 half off. So I figured why not. I was happy with the savings and was kind of expecting to pay more. And I think that's been my experience even at other locations. Those times have been for housewares and linens. I still beat up a Dyson I got a great deal on from a now extinct Kohls. A solid 4 because I'm never waiting long for anything, whether it is purchasing an item, picking up an online purchase or returning an Amazon purchase. Maybe it's because I'm only here at off hours, early morning or late in the evening. I'm not as really a fan of Kohl's in general partly because the selection of goods isn't really my style and generally speaking at other Kohl's it seems I'm always stuck behind those seemingly trying to negotiate pricing at the register. Young lady at the amazon return services (11/21/23 11:03 AM) just seems to have a natural attitude. I walked over to the return area and said hello which then got no response and then handed me my printed coupon then puts the label on my package. Looks and sounds annoyed just to do her job.. and goes "mhm" after saying thank you! No point of working if you're gonna make the customers feel like they annoy you. Can't leave the store without buying something. Lol. You honestly can find almost anything at Kohl's. I love that they added a Sephora to the store as well. There is a Sephora in the Quaker bridge Mall. But I still don't find myself getting up there that often. I really enjoy that. There is an Amazon return at Kohl's as well. When doing Amazon returns you always get some kind of coupon you can use in the Kohl's store. Which I always fall victim to. I get so much of my workout and athleisure clothes here. They have a lot of fun brands and some pop up brands as well. One of the very few stores. I actually have a store credit card too. Definitely worth it for the coupons. Working in retail is a hard job that I feel everyone should do at least once in their life. I always find the workers here Very pleasant. There have been many times I've asked to have a shirt or some item of clothing taken off a mannequin. Being that that's the only one in my size. They always do it with a smile. read more

I recently bought a heating pad. It stopped working. I called Kohl's to get a replacement. They did replace the item because it was not that old. However Kohl's asked me to write a good review and they would send me a new heating pad. I did, because I thought they were sincere with their offer. However I never received the Heating pad they offered, so don't get sucked in, like I did, to give them a good review when apparently they did not intend on holding up their part of the bargain. I guess I'll be shopping more at TARGET these days. read more

If I could give the store a zero I would during Covid they have one door open so everybody's going in and out the same door and I'm practically getting plowed over by people coming into the store with my six year old getting plowed over also! There are only a couple registers open here on Wednesday and I'm going to the checkout line over in customer service and the customer service lady goes and tells me it would be shorter for me to go wait in the other line bullshit it was shorter for me to get out checked out there she just didn't want me to get checked out where I was. It's huge, it's clean and its full of good deals if you're patient. As most large store in the U.S. It is always a challenge to find anybody to help you. I asked a cashier where to find white shirts, she pointed at a direction and told me to look everywhere. After waking around I did find what I was looking for but had to look over and over to match the item with the price tag and the size. The good thing is when I paid I was given a cash coupon to spend on anything on the store. I went back today and used. Good deal over all. read more

This is a really nice location. My first time in here. Was never a big fan of Kohls but I was looking for something specific for my son. I went to many stores and finally found what I was looking for. This store is quite nice and large. Almost reminds me of a small Macy's. Sales people were super nice. Store is clean and well organized. Prices are average but sales were actually pretty darn good. I'm a bargain girl. Of course I levitated over to the perfume which made my day bc they actually had testers so I could smell them. Bonus bc who wants to buy a perfume before smelling it. I breezed thru the women's clothes and shoes which not much of a selection bc end of the season but still had cute stuff. I like the set up of the store was easy to find things. Nice make up counter. Definitely worth another check in when I have more time. I found what I was looking for and went to the register the girl was such a pleasant breathe of fresh air. I had brought up 2 of what I wanted bc one didn't have a price tag. She was so thankful. She also gave me a discount even tho I didn't want to sign up for another credit card. Lol. Kohl's is a great spot for general shopping. Lots of great discounts and extra rewards. I like J-Lo's and Lauren Conrad's clothesline. They have a great collection of jewelry and watches. The staff I have interacted with were exceptional and never pushy. The store is nicely cared for and there is rarely a line for checkout. read more

If you are picking up something off the rack or shelf, and go to the register with your unexpired coupons you are OK. If you need help with something you are out of luck. Saw no customer service person for fifteen minutes while I stood in housewares with a question. Went to customer service and they paged a CS person to that department, describing what I was wearing. Fifteen minutes later no one was there to help me. Oh, two people with Kohl's badges did carry boxes into the storeroom and two apparently walked by without engaging the customer. The cashier was so rude. She did not do the price match also she did not apply the coupons I have. I had 2 coupons and she applied only one and did not even scan the other one where as Kohl's take 4 coupons. I asked for extra bags as I have lot of stuff to carry. She did not even give me that. I have been a charge card member at Kohl's for years and have done lots of shoping there. A couple weeks ago I went in to use my card and was denied. I found out from calling a number that they closed my card becasue they allegedly sent me a letter asking for a home address versus my PO Box. I never got this letter so they just closed my account without notifying me. Mind you they have my email and my phone number on file but never contacted me. I have written to their customer service with no response. I guess they don't need my business. I try to shop local to support business but I think they just made me a Amazon customer.
