At approximately 12:10p after getting off of work I decided to meet my mom at Kohl's at the Bayfair San Leandro location because we had seen a great deal on luggage I met my mom outside and walked in with her. We walked straight inside to the luggage department as that was our intended purchase. We stopped at nothing before. Upon looking at our intended purchase we realized it wasn't the best option for us as it was poorly made and one already had a hole in it, so we continued looking through different luggage to find our best options, this requires us to look through and inspect the luggage as we wanted to get the best for our money. During this time, my mother first noticed people walking by with walkie talkies blazing. She then noticed an employee come around the corner, stare and me, and ran away laughing; completely unprofessional. As a little time went on more and more employees started walking by, and around us and watching us. My mom started getting irritated as I tried to brush it off as I understand the retail side of things and thought something else was going down around us having nothing to do with us. So i tried to mind my own business. Then more and more people started walking and running around us again with walkie talkies blazing I started to realize it was because of us. We had about 4-5, maybe more employees stalking us and in a way I felt trying to intimidate us to leave. At that time I was irritated but I also knew I had done NOTHING wrong, I still tried to go about my business. As I seen my mother starting to get visibly upset as she said she felt like she was being attacked I just wanted to wrap up our purchase to get her out of there. Sure enough, they followed us downstairs to the checkout lane and proceeded to watch us check out. Two, in particular was a shorter African American female with glasses accompanied by a taller Hispanic female hair back in a bun. My mom was visibly uncomfortable and mad because she had never felt this before in her life and knowing we did nothing wrong but trying to make a purchase irritated us even more. The girl at checkout was actually very nice given the circumstances. I knew they were watching us so I preceded to help her open all luggage to insure them we were not the thieves they assumed we were. I even attempted to open an account handing over all my personal information if they so happened to think I was stealing I knew I had nothing to hide. Checkout was a success besides the glaring eyes all around us. We felt so uncomfortable and have never been treated as if we were in a place we weren't supposed to be. Why? All because we wanted to make a purchase like a normal customer? Or was it my uniform that they just suspected or judged? After taking out purchase to the car we were so irritated and my mom was visible upset which made me think it over. We should not have been treated that way. At all. So I went back in and asked the cashier if those ladies were management. She said yes and I proceeded to ask for their names so I could document. For some reason she was hesitant and seem to not really know their names. How do employees not know the managers names? Really? She ultimately came up with Chenia and Shannon... My wife and I stopped by a few days ago and immediately set off the metal detector (we were both surprised, as I kept my guns and grenades in the car- like millions upon millions of others, my brain has been warped and mutilated by Grand Theft Auto). We kept our cool, though (I was tempted to point at my wife, but didn't), and only one cashier even glanced at us as we boarded the escalator to the 2nd level. The Good: In general, the store is more organized and spacious now. In particular, the toys have been arranged better. The walkways leading up to the kitchen items also aren't cluttered anymore. The selection of picture frames. There are easily over 100 frames to choose from (there are also a lot of candles, photo albums, and greeting cards in the area), and they're quite diverse (ex: some of them pay homage to grandkids, Nana, or the family dog). The small wall art pieces are very nice too. My wife and I will buy 2 beach themed ones tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, there's going to be a big sale. The Bad: The Customer Service area (I would give it a score of 6/10). The employees seem competent and friendly, but they don't move customers along very quickly. If you find yourself in line (you probably will), expect to be waiting 10 or more minutes before you're helped. The artwork on the walls by the escalators could be better. A few pieces even look just like each other. The Ugly: No, not my face (well, okay- I haven't shaved in almost a week, and I'm now starting to look like a Chia Pet). Maybe it's been cleaned up already (I would like to hope so), but the area where the large wall art pieces are is a disaster zone. You literally have to watch where you step (some pieces are on the ground). A few other aisles in the vicinity are quite messy too (I was also aghast that I didn't see many employees around). There are a lot of good items here, and you're going to save some money, but this store still needs to get its act together. read more

I really don't like shopping at this store, but over the years have gone in several times because family members have given me gift cards for Christmas. So in I go, hoping to find something I want to purchase. I go up stairs, 2nd floor to look at kitchen items...pot, pans, small appliances. I never see any staff on the entire floor, except in the "returns" office, certainly not in the kitchen goods area. Often I see no price on a item and have to take it 75 feet to the scanner, which is often BROKEN!... Then I have to drag it back to the shelf. Same thing happens in men's clothing on the first floor.... NO HELP. no one to answer any questions. So I finally see all these people going through a door in the center of the first floor and figure they must be employees that can help me.... I open the door and everyone freaks out saying I'm not suppose to open that door. No one to help me, but a bunch of people inside looking at security screens from what I can tell. So the business model seems to be... no staff to help, but many people making sure you don't steal stuff, watching your every move. I thought perhaps I am mistaken, so I call the store and the employee who takes my call says those aren't employees in that room and he can't discuss it... BIG Secret. I say, gosh, I've seen it.. why are you saying those people don't exist or they aren't employees. Around and around we go. I ask to speak to the manager but eventually hang up after waiting too long. Hopefully I won't get any more gift cards from Kohls. Oh yes... I finally spent my $110 in gift cards on Kohls.com and ordered a microwave oven that will be delivered. I ordered an item online to be picked up at the store. I never received the email notification that my order was ready for pick up. So, I went into the store to find out where my order was and I was told it was an "expired" order because I never picked it up! Are you kidding me??? I was never sent the notification for pick up. Customer service was zero help throwing their arms up in the air saying there was nothing they could do because it was an "online order" Newsflash: It is all KOHL's!! If you make a mistake, YOU need to fix it. It is not MY responsibility to track down the item I had already purchased. I was told that I could reorder the item except that it wasn't available in my size anymore. Unbelievable! The worst store management, customer service and online store I have ever experienced. Furthermore, they said that their kiosks were not working. What kind of a store loses an order, has broken down kiosks and customer service that couldn't be bothered? Seriously, instead of trying to find out what went wrong and to make it right, all I got is "oh well, there's nothing we can do." Not only did I not get the item I purchased, they forfeited my Kohl's cash that I used when they "expired" my order! In my book, that is THEFT! That will be the last purchase I make at Kohl's...if you can't get it right, or make it right, then you don't deserve my business! I think this might be the first time I have downgraded a review but it had to be done. I really want to shop at Kohl's more often but the last few times I have been to this location the lines have been out of control. The cashiers are nice but there are never enough of them. The last time I was there I had to set my stuff down and leave because it was just not worth the wait. I have been going to this Kohls for super longer and I see some weak ass reviews saying the lines are too long. Bro...you think the lines are long here? Try going to Nordstrom Rack in San Leandro. They once had a line that did a 360' around the store. Anyways, the reason why I did this review was after getting an email saying that I got $10 reward for my birthday. This is in addition to the 30% off I get every once in awhile and the cash back you get when buying $50 or over. Worst customer service experience ever. Came in to exchange a gift without a receipt. Asked for a price check and they gave me the cost when we picked the product for exchange, the price was less and the product we picked that was on sale came up as not being on sale. The cashier refused to honor anything and kept saying "it's what the system says" he told me I was wrong multiple times and I'm telling him this is what I was told and what I am seeing. He refused to get management. I took the refund. Gave it to the woman behind me because I will NEVER support a Kohl's again. And neither will my children. They witnessed the whole exchange and felt that HE was rude in the way he talked to me. The woman ahead of me also left annoyed without finishing her transaction. Eh, what happened here? They USE to carry nice style clothing and shoes but the last two visits have been a let down. Nothing caught me eye at all. The prices aren't that great and the items on the sale racks are horrible. They had so much on the sale racks in each dept. but it was all crap, no wonder why. The merchandise is messy (hanging off the hangers, not folded and all of the place) during my early afternoon visit with the store not busy. I am surprised at the reviews. I enjoy Kohl's and have for a long time - it was a staple store for me when living out in the boondocks back East. Kohl's quality level is like that of Macy's, but at a much better price. I would never dare to compare it to a mervyn's, where all the clothes feel like they are made of cheap fabrics and will fall apart in a week. I also like the selection of Kohl's better than Macy's - but bonus, this location has both. This store was a fairly average Kohl's. I hit it during the christmas shopping season, and the only things really picked over was the selection of long sleeve shirts. Only XL's left. Everything was clean and neatly folded. read more

Like other Kohl's, the merchandising leaves something to be desired. The quality of the clothing and other items is ok. I like their home goods section and Vera Wang's label that they sell there. Great for last minute items for holidays and decorations. You must have your receipt for returns or you get what the item is currently priced at, usually cheaper after Christmas so be sure that get a gift receipt! I went last week to try and return some shoes for my daughter that the zipper had broken after only two uses. I got there a bit early and saw some buisness people standing outside and the doors propped open, so I assumed they had maybe just painted them and the manager was inspecting them. As I sit and wait I noticed another mom struggling for a few minutes to get her kids out. So I get out and walk up to the front only to be told the store was closed. I proceeded to ask if they knew when it would be opened back up, the woman (who I didn't know was the stores manager, Dey) rudely told me she didn't know. So I said there should be signs posted. Again she rudely responded, and pointed in the direction on the tiny paper sized signs they had posted on the INSIDE of their glass doors and said "WE ALREADY DID THAT!" I laughed at her and asked if she really expected people to see let alone read those signs. Then she asked me what she should do about that? Um excuse me? That's not my problem! So then I told her that instead of watching all these people Park infront of their business and let them fully unload their two small children and stroller, that maybe she should go notify the mother that she watched struggle for the past 10 minutes. I wish I could say it ended there, but no. When I called later to see if they were open and to file a complaint about the woman I had spoke with in the morning, I instead was put on the phone with her. She had a nasty attitude again and basically talked down to me the entire time. Saying she was on the phone and that her district manager had seen the whole conversation. To which I'm sure he didn't because he was over 40 ft away and on the phone at the time. Then I tried to get his number and she refused but only gave me his name, and tried to say it fast enough for me to not catch, then got even more attitude when I asked her to repeat it. I left a message for the DM last week minutes after my phone call with the store manager but still haven't gotten a response. Now looking through all the reviews I see that I'm not the first person to be attacked by her. Such a shame that she is still in the position she's in when she has absolutely zero customer service skills! read more

I actually quite like Kohl's in general, but would never go back to this specific location. I think what first pissed me off is the cashier at the jewelry counter having a really bad attitude and telling us she couldn't ring up our purchase because they weren't from the jewelry counter. We were buying a very small wallet from the accessories area. Funny thing though, as we were exiting the store, we saw her ringing up clothes for another customer. Hmmmm. I should add that we only asked her to help us since there wasn't a single worker anywhere near the check out station that faces the entrance to the mall itself. So we then had to go to the other side of the store and the lady there that rang us up was standoff ish. It was just really odd. Anyway, I like Kohl's just not this location. Won't ever go back. I learned quickly that the only things you should buy here are linens (towels/sheets etc.), knick knacks (candles, decorative shit, picture frames), and kitchen stuff. I am so disappointed in this place. My husband and I went there yesterday and never have I been so disrespected and by a "Manager" of all people not even an inexperienced employee a Manager was threatening me and my husband . Basically there was a jacket in the wrong place under a sale sign advertising it was $44.99 not only one jacket there was 3-4 of the same jackets on the rack and they didn't have my husband's size so I wanted to see if we can order it online when I rang it up at the kiosk it was $89.99 huge difference right.!?! Anyway a helpful employee told us to ask the manager may be he could discount it or do something to help. At that point my husband Said no it's ok that's too much work for a jacket. As we were about to check out I saw a manager emptying the registers so I thought hot dang who better to help us with our issue. That being said when we told him exactly what happen he asked that we show him and not thinking he Would aggressively starts telling my husband can "you see the price on the barcode come on man can't you read it you feel me bro you feel me then told him why you frontin why you frontin" to which my husband replied why would anyone go through the trouble of doing that. That all my husband said nothing more nothing less to Mack thats the name of this manager well he started getting all belligerent starting say that he asking him questions because he was trying to impress me not knowing I've been married to him for 4years and nevertheless what is it his business not only that he kept squaring off my husband and acting like he wanted to fight him. Then after we spoke to another manager who couldn't explain to us what happened the I asked if I have the store the. Info which they have to us. So after we left we were standing outside and it's a wall of glass from the inside the store looking out and he kept looking at us with an evil grin and trying to intimidate us to were my husband said let's go he doesn't seem stable.I called in the morning hoping to explain the disrespect that this employee had for his customers to which the store mgr over the phone made it seem like it was our fault that it's not like him to act like that and that she would give us the disscount for the jacket. I was so shocked that they didn't see what a big deal it was of a customer service rep to act like that this isn't the hood this is a place of business. Also it's NOT ABOUT THE JACKET I have never been so insulted in my life. We felt the store not wasn't understanding and we decided to go see her personally she turned out being really nice but she kept saying he's not like that but he is like that maybe no one's brought it to her attention before or maybe he intimidates his other customers but we were not going to be his victims. Unfortunately he was there as we were leaving and he still squared us off and to be honest I am so scared and uncomfortable to go back to that store ever again and I've spent thousands of my hard earned money there there but I feel like what if he retaliates against me a simple question set him off and what if this time I'm alone would he try and fight me. I'm just not willing to take that chance and I will never step foot in that store I've called it mom cousins and friends and will be closing down their accounts immediately to which my has done so already. And I will not stop there because my husband is an amazing man and does not deserve to be treated like that or to be threatened the way he was and I would hope anyone would stick up for their loved on. Kohls is not teaching their employees and most importantly their management how to be respectful to their paying customers they and doing a poor job in leading by example and the people below him watch this and think it ok to treat people like trash and it's not. I would rather spend an extra $10 on an item at Macy's department store and get great customer service the to save $5 and be treated so poorly. I admit that I came here because of my frugal habits. I had a $10 coupon off "EVERYTHING" and "Yes, we mean everything" that I found on my morning newspaper. I never shop at Kohl's normally because the clothing selection does not interest me. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the nice home (cooking) section. I ended up trading my $10 coupon for a cutting board and it was free! I cannot ask for more. It was a nice, branded one too! The store is a bit disorganized, but there are some real deals at this store. When I went, they had major 20-25% off many kitchen items on top of the $10 off $50 coupon and the $10 off everything coupon with no stated minimum. I also saw 50% on many items in the gift wrap section. My favorite section to maximize my $10 off coupon were the .99 cents Hallmark cards. Location wise, it is at a fabulous location near Bayfair BART and right off the AC Transit 1-International Bus. You don't need to drive to get here! read more

I did most of my Christmas shopping here and am pretty pleased at my selections. I wished they had better quality clothing, but when you need something quick to go out in and not worry about what happens after you wash it, I guess it's okay. I always get their $10 off coupons for buying over $50 worth of merchandise and I like this....I just wished they would mark their stuff lower instead of making it look like you are saving a bunch of money when you checkout. Does that make sense? There is always a sale, but if you look, the regular price is quite high... I miss Mervyn's. It came in handy when I needed something simple and/or conservative. They had amazing sales. Kohl's has proven to be a fair alternative. This location is well-stocked, fairly clean, and staff are plentiful downstairs. I was sick and very tired July 6th but I had so much to do that night to prepare for my twins bday so I ran into the store to happily use my free kohls cash to purchase something to wear for my girls bday the next day. I gathered several items, 2 pants, 1 romper, and a total of 4 tops. I went into the fitting room to try them out, decided to only take the one top that fit and left all 6 items in the fitting room mainly because theres no where to actually hang your items when you leave and no employee there to take your belongings and I just wanted to get home. I made my purchase immediately after leaving the fitting room and walked straight out of the store with my purchase only to be aggressively approached by 2 Male security officers outside of the store when I left, they appeared to be breathing hard to run and catch me, accusing me of shoplifting and telling me to step back into the store blocking me off appearing to be in fear of me running??? My initial thought was that these 2 men were going to hurt me, due to their aggressive approach then once they said "shoplifting" I thought they were just guys being silly trying to scare me but never heard "just kidding" so I suddenly realized this was for real and I immediately was confused and angry at how they were handling the situation.I began to feel sick to my stomach and shake, humiliated is an understatement! I went back in to the store questioning under what circumstances did they think I stole anything and requested them to check my bags SEVERAL times and they refused. They continued to stand next to me blocking me in appearing to still be afraid I might run invading my personal space and I didnt understand why they were doing this. Was there a woman who looked like me shoplifting and they were mistaken? Nonetheless he insisted they escort me to security office and because of my innocence and how unprofessional they were being, I knew for my safety i had to record it. One of the security officers threatened me several times to call the cops if I didnt stop recording so prematurely 2 officers arrived before anything was said or done. All I could do is smile. My smiles you see are actually hiding the tears and anger I had and the pain I felt that someone like myself, a hard working mother of 4, a nurse and loving, caring women of integrity and good character would be falsely accused of shoplifting based off of pure ASSUMPTIONS with no evidence what so ever! that someone can profile me because to them, I wasnt the honest, hard working mom and nurse everyone knows me to be but actually a bummy lookin hispanic woman with a back pack (which was my diaper bag) that I always keep my wallet in. I was shaking so badly through this whole event on the verge of literally vomitting from the anger, hurt and disgust I felt about these men and their lies. The cop who just stood there with nothing to say to the men who just harassed and accused me of shoplifting when I didnt and and the woman who sat back and watched all this unfold not holding her coworkers accountable!So so hurt and upset that this was really happening and until you are in this position with false accusations of a crime you will never know the potential you have to come out of character to fight and defend yourself for what is right! In the 11 minutes I recorded I was unable to gather my thoughts and felt helpless. It was 4 against 1 ultimately and I was guilty until proven innocent and even then I was still guilty because after proving my innocence you can hear him still imply I was being dishonest (because It was too difficult for them to admit they messed up) and instead wanted to pursue trespassing me STILL until one came to his senses and knew he had no case to do so!These men did not apologize and they refused to give me their names and info. I was profiled, harrassed, humiliated and I left feeling like a criminal. And for the record, I went back to the fitting room and guess what I found???? Yep! All the clothes I had tried still laying on the bench. The "shorts" he claims I stole. I waved it in the air so I could get it on camera and put it all on the check stand with an associate. What used to be a decent ,competitively priced clothing store ,is now kind of 2nd tier garbage/junk outlet. Clothes are way overpriced for the quality and when they give you 50% off,it's what the retail of the clothing should have been in the first place. I had a 10 buck off coupon for anything in the store and I couldn't find anything that was worth buying. These stores didn't use to be like this. They now mostly an outlet store for the design house of Poly and Ester. read more

Here was my situation: -Kohls.com order of 2 pairs of shoes. -Received one pair. -Pair that I received was clearly worn. -Called Kohls.com but they had just closed since they're CST and I'm PST. I went to CS and she was able to see that they had the same shoe in the store for the damaged pair. She completed the even exchange for me. She took care of the missing order as well and accommodated my Kohl's cash issue. I know that you had to get your manager's approval over the phone (I get it... I was a manager and sometimes you cannot physically respond on scene for a customer issue) but YOU were the all star. You handled everything with grace and with such a positive personality. Went here on a whim last Saturday 1/19/2013 with my partner in crime. I just wanted to check the department store out since I hadn't been in such a long time and was in need of clothes. Moreover, Kohl's always had sales, and if you have a Kohl's account, you're given a 15% discount 12 times throughout the year. I got lucky and was able to make some practical purchases. I loved that they had my sizes in the petite section because hemming my own pants takes quite a while. I purchased a dress shirt, two pairs of jeans, and some heels. My P.I.C also snagged some classy boat shoes. Our total was $121 with a savings total of $135. I also opened a Kohl's account which added to that savings amount. The staff is great. They're friendly and fast! The store was very clean and no merchandise was on the floor or in the aisles. The only comment I have is that no one was monitoring the fitting rooms. Kohl's is always hit or miss for me in two areas. The first, being selection, the style is off more than it is on and the shoe selection seems to be strictly stripper heels and tennis shoes. Very odd however once in awhile I find something cute. The second hit or miss area is price. It is obvious that they mark things up significantly just so that they can perpetually have them "on sale" and send out coupons, which just take it down to an actual reasonable price for the item. The most glaring example was a dress I bought for the regular price of $35 at JC Penney, and then saw the exact same dress "40% off" at Kohl's 2 weeks later for $48. Somehow their "40% off price" was $13 more than the regular, full price at JC Penney. Weird. It was a great dress that I got tons of compliments on, but not $48 great if you know what I mean. Also their handbags are WAY overpriced, even at their "sale" prices. I will pay for quality but I'm not paying the "40% off sale price" of $59 for a faux leather purse just because JLO or Vera Wang might have their name on it. I can get an actual quality leather purse for that much across the mall courtyard at Macy's. Their faux jewelry is also very over priced. They should be careful with this pricing scheme because that is exactly what drove Mervyn's out of business (lets face it, Kohl"s is Mervyns with a makeup counter). I do have to admit that they are excellent for buying khaki pants for my work year round, so I will pay whatever I need to for that since full length, non skinny cut khaki pants for women are hard to find most of the year. And their Sonoma brand socks for women are excellent as well, I buy them on sale with whatever coupon is floating around when I can. So for khakis & socks, I'm a guarenteed customer. The rest of it you really have to check out the quality of the item and whether the price matches up to that before you buy. read more

My friend's fave womens' intimate apparel, Candie's, is located at Kohl's. The place is sometimes short staffed and staff is not all that eager to help. I asked for assistance in womens' shoes and asked about any clearance items and a staffer blandly said, yeah, they're over there (with a dismissive wave). Employees at Kohl's tend to have dismissive attitudes and they tend to get together in small groups of 2 or 3 to joke around and shoot the sheesh. Even when there are customers visibly around, they don't often approach or greet customers to ask if they can be of assistance. Best think about Kohl's is they tend to have a lot of sales. They resemble JC Penney's in that regard. And they have Kohl's Bucks you can earn every time you make purchases, and then use them on your next visit. In some ways I prefer this one in Bayfair Mall, over the one in Southland Mall. Problem is there's often only one or two employees on the top floor at any given time, so you find yourself going to Customer Service/Returns counter to try and get assistance. And good luck getting the person to leave the counter and join you on the show floor; they're likely to refer you to the sometimes confusing self-help kiosk. I understand that if you've only got one person manning the entire floor that one person won't necessarily know a whole lot about any of the stock of inventory on the floor. Which is unfortunately, they really should have at least 4-5 people on the floor so you don't have to go on a safari adventure to find a staffer. And as a guy in the womens' section in a department store trying to find bras for a female friend, I should think Kohl's would understand my occasional moments of confusion and a sense of being overwhelmed by the selection and sizes. One day I spent two to three hours in that one department and got nothing accomplished, other than to have, by myself, manually checked each and every tag to try and find my friend's size, to no avail. Once in a while I took brief breaks to ask female customers who'd appear now and then and ask them for advice on this and that. Kohl's is sometimes good store for huskier guys w/broad shoulders for shirts (collared and muscle shirts) as well as sweatpants and stretch pants. Mens' clothing is on the first floor. Picture frames and candles, kitchenware and women's intimates, children's toys, are on the top floor. Perfumes, colognes, boys/mens wear is on the ground/bottom/first floor. Mall Parking. The people behind the return desk were very mean to my dad. They refused to do service with him only because he's returned many things there in a short amount of time. I don't know of any other business that does that. To be honest the woman behind the counter was getting hella ratch for no reason and her scared manager was standing behind her doing nothing but gocking with his mouth open. I always have issues at this Kohls- last week they wouldn't let me return or not even exchange my beats earphones- because receipt was on a closed Kohls charge card- manager said he couldn't help- that,"His hands are tied"- customer service desk is always backed up- I live in Castro valley- but will go to the Alameda store over this store any day- I love Kohls- but this store has poor customer service- would recommend Kohls- just or this exact store- read more

I came here for dress shirts. I found exactly what i was looking for tried it on and went on my way. Do not go here for shopping experience. They are understaffed. I could have just as easily shop lifted my items then paid for them. I was actually looking for someone to help me find my size but to no avail. I gave up and just found it my self under piles of dress shirts. The quality of the cloths are good and at very good prices. I also took advantage of their sale buy one get one 50%. I saved over $80 on my purchase. That is pretty rad. I would recommend that before you come here have a laser focus and go in knowing what deal to take advantage of. otherwise you will waste your time. read more

Great sales on men's clothing. I love things that are 70% off and don't look raggety. Sometimes, they only have size L and XL but i guess given the demographics, that is usually how they wear their clothese around San Leandro. Sometimes the lines are too long. read more

Went here to make a return for an online purchase. Waited in line for 15 minutes before getting to the front, where staff told me that they "don't do that here." There were no signs to tell me that, but there should be. Had to go upstairs and wait in line for another 15 minutes. Understaffed. Unbelievable. read more

Kohl's is located at Bayfair Center. This store is well organized except for the womens shoes. What a mess! Other than that it's a clean store and the cashier's are friendly. This kohl's is a hit or miss. What I mean is sometimes you can find stuff here that you don't see in the larger Kohl's (tri valley area). But great job overall. read more

What is wrong with you, Kohl's Bay Fair?? This place was my first love shopping at Kohl's but now i felt like this place is like a chaos, clothes are not well supplied. They displayed a top but i couldn't find it, then why display it? And i was more disappointed when i was about to return my online purchase and they couldn't give me a credit to my kohls' charge instead they offered me the store credit. I said this is ridiculous, it never happened to me, i am a frequent kohl's online shopper and never had that experience. They don't even bother to assist me even though i asked for a manager, no explanation why i can't get a credit to my kohl's charge but "that's what's appeared on the screen"... whatt??? I went to Southland Kohl's and less than 2 minutes, they gave me credit back to my kohl's charge no hassle. Now, i betrayed you with Southland Kohl's. New, more sizes available, more organized and love their new and clean fitting room. I still go to Bay Fair Kohl's when i feel bored and need to unwind or kill my time or pay my kohl's charge since this is very close to my home. read more

They make you go upstairs for returns which is a hassle. When I get upstairs to do a return there is ten people on line and only one cashier. What kind of customer service is this? This is exactly why I try my best of avoid kohls. read more

Just got back from kohls at bayfair, what a huge disappointment! I was helped briefly and the girl was rude and acted like I was bothering her! I work in customer service and i was appalled, I'm the customer and FYI I pay your bills by buying merchandise! Also I went into the dressing room and the employee was on the phone and totally ignored me!! Are you kidding me .... When I went to check out the woman asked me repeatedly if I wanted a kohls card she would not take no for an answer! First of all I will never be back so why the hell would I want a kohls card?? And if I did want one I would have said yes the first time ... Not wait for you to badger me and ask me four more times. Plus the prices were not very good at all almost eighty dollars for two pairs of work pants. My advice, just go to target! The customer service is WAY better and so are the prices!! read more
