I love Kohl's. Where did my shopping love for this store happen? At this location. Years ago, I lived in Rochester. I found this Kohl's store after shopping at Walmart next door. There is a plaza of box stores in the southern part of the city. I walked into this Kohl's, loved everything about it, and have been a fan ever since. I recently returned to reminisce and shop. I parked and walked in. It felt the same, except that the merchandise is different... haha! If you love discounted items, you want to shop here. This store has one of the better sections for heavily discounted goods, from clothes to jewellery, that you'll find. There was still a section on discounted Christmas clothes. Prices were 70% off the ticketed price. I also found a pair of Mickey Mouse stud earrings for $10. They were originally $50, which I would never buy at that price. Kohl's was having a semi-annual bra sale. I couldn't find a purple bra in my size at the Eagan store. I found it here. I immediately snatched it up and was so happy. I lost myself in the kitchen accessories section. Oh, the memories of building my empty apartment kitchen with cool spatulas, mixing bowls, and more, and creating a happy, functional kitchen experience. It brought back wonderful memories. I had Kohl's cash to use. It was loaded on the Kohl's app on my phone. I went to pay for my items. The woman cashing me out was exceptionally patient and nice. I got her to scan my Kohl's cash. I then had to flip to my rewards barcode. She scanned that next. I then paid with a credit card. She was lovely. It was nice returning to the store that kick-started my love for Kohl's. I've shopped here for years. I used to have the Kohls credit card but gave it up a few years ago. I need a few clothing items and thought Kohls, they will have it. After selecting my items, went to the check outs. The cashier was highly aggressive trying to get me to sign up for another credit card. I politely declined. He wouldn't stop and kept going and going. I almost left without my items because he was so aggressive. I don't need high pressure when all I'm trying to do is buy a few clothing items. I like the remodeled Kohls. The selection seems to be better and the store more organized than the past few years. But, my one big complaint is the fitting rooms. They always are filthy. Dust and dirt on the floors. Why isn't this being cleaned on a daily basis ? I was there yesterday, (right when they opened) and they were this way. It really makes a bad impression. With only two fitting Rooms open ( one Mens , one Womens ) Would it really be so hard to assign one employee to sweep them or they must have maintenance people . read more

I love the store but I hate going way to the back to get my online orders as I have problems walking.

Bad experience here. Their makeup section is completely unsanitary. Many of the palettes are broken. Makeup gunk is everywhere and squeezed out onto shelves. Many of the new palettes not meant for testing are swatched with fingers. Packages were empty like they have a theft issue. The employee in the jewelry section didn't seem to care. You would think the management would have this section cared for. Found a dress I liked but not in my size. There were no associates around to help me, so I asked a cashier. It took them ten minutes trying to figure out their Bluebird inventory scanner to tell me there weren't any in stock. There are so many other stores here to go to. Pass up this Kohls. read more

With the weather so rotten it gives me an excuse to shop! Always have to hit Kohls, they have 15% today and some great deals on fall decor. I always buy candles here, I don't know why, its just become a habit. I also got a good deal on Cuddle Duds for when the snow flies, yuck. read more

Does anyone work here? What a complete disaster. Every department I walked through looked like a tornado went through. Hard to find children's clothes in correct size because nothing was folded or organized. Merchandise thrown on the floor and was being walked on & rolled over. Coupons sent via email are misleading. Almost everything I planned on purchasing tonight was excluded from my coupon. What BS. Checkout lines were long and slow moving. Won't be rushing back anytime soon. read more

this store has quite a bit of selection and has multiple departments for women's clothes and has (hooray) a petites section. There are usually a lot of sales going on. Clearance sales are pretty good. I do quite a bit of my winter holiday shopping here. The Kohl's cash is handy, but you have time limits on when you can spend it. A lot of clothing is overpriced and you have to wait until there is a sale. It's frustrating having to sale-jump to get a good deal on what you want. Sometimes I end up going to a different store that advertises low prices all the time rather than having to scavenge for a fair deal. read more

Another one of my fav stores, good selection, quality and service. The best department is the housewares, they have attractive designer frames, wall decor and accessories. They have a really nice cosmetics and jewelry depts too. read more

Wrote a check out and the young lady crystal wasn't properly trained to receive a check. She asked for help and was told just keep trying it'll work. She became irritated and said I'm fricken new here. So we had to charge it. Couldn't give a accurate account as to what the interest rate is on there charge card either. If your going to sell something now the details. Train your employees read more

I was shopping online for a Christmas present. When I went to checkout it said this item was available in store. Trying to keep people employed, I went to my local Kohl's here in Rochester instead of shopping online. When I got there I noticed the price on the item was $10 higher than online. So I pulled it up on my phone to check, and it was in fact higher than I would have paid online. I asked an employee who called a manager................and they would NOT honor the online price. First I will shop online from now on. Save your own job. But any other store would have honored Kohl's price to get the business. This manager needs an education. That store will never get my business. read more

I much prefer other stores and even Amazon. At Kohl's everything is always on sale which leads me to question their honesty.

1 star. Supervisor named Kasie actually argued with me. Their register failed to print the entire left side of my receipt. When I inquired about what I actually paid for an item purchased earlier, kasie said there was no way to look it up because the numbers did not print. I kindly pointed out that she could get the receipt number off my Kohls cash which I had given her. She told me repeatedly it was not possible until I pointed to another associate and he confirmed it was possible which I knew from another visit. When I asked if the item had gone on sale in the past week to get the difference refunded I was given 3 different possible prices the item could have at this very moment? I will not shop at The Rochester store in the future. Other Kohls train their supervisors. The girl who started the transaction and the gentleman at the desk were great. They did a much better job than Kasie but unfortunately lack the tools to reprint the original receipt. I always enjoyed Kohl's until this last January. When I needed to return 3 clothing items (they didn't fit my dad), I had trouble getting the correct total refunded. At first I didn't realize they shorted me $10. Luckily, I was still in the store and finally found a sales clerk. I showed her the orig. receipt that said $90, but I was only refunded $80. She said I owed the store the remaining $10. I didn't understand that and after speaking to many clerks, someone figured out I used a Kohl's Cash coupon and said if you return anything, you owe the store that coupon money amount. I left feeling very frustrated. I know it's only $10, but it's the principal of all this. I tried calling customer service twice and got the same run around. I paid the $10 because I just couldn't deal with this anymore. I did feel good closing my account however. And now I am not receiving zillions of coupons every week. Bonus. read more
