Yeah I get it Kohls has great coupons, Kohls cash and is generally cheaper than Macy's but this Kohls in Riverbank is not at all what I expected! The customer service is horrible by both associates AND managers! The store is always a mess no matter what day or time of the week it is - clothing racks packed so tightly making it difficult to pull something out without other clothes falling to the floor, the table folds are outrageously disorganized and the fitting rooms are never clean. What is this? I did know someone that once worked at Kohls and I asked him why the store was always a mess and he told me it had something to do with payroll - which is why they only schedule ONE person to work THREE departments all day. CRAZY. How do they expect to have a clean floor and have every customer assisted AND satisfied when there is only ONE associate working??!?! Not every associate is unwelcoming at this establishment, but one day I went in I encountered an associate who was dressed very unprofessional and did not greet us cheerfully. On top of that there needed to be a price adjustment with one of our items and it was store policy that she had it confirmed by a manager. I thought the problem would be solved with the manager but it wasn't! She was extremely rude and talked to us as if we were children! I would write a description of her but I won't. I just hope the store manager realizes soon that this girl needs an attitude adjustment!! And because of these reasons I will not be returning to Kohls in Riverbank. Oh, and another thing about this Kohls (I'm not sure if all other Kohls are like this- I've only been here) is that its pretty obvious who the Loss Prevention workers are! I mean come on, they're dressed as normal people walking around the store clearly faking that they are shopping and just staring at people AND I saw them helping out associates clear dressing rooms and do price adjustments. While its always a little crowded in regards to space in between racks, you can't beat the prices, especially for the kids clothes.

Went there for last minute christmas shopping and it was so awesome! the prices were lowest in town for the toys i wanted. there where so many sales! the toys i got where already 50% off and when i got up to the counter the sales lady gave me an additional 50% off the total sales price! and kohl's cash! i was so excited im goin there this year!. and i hear they have a great selection on toddler shoes which is so hard to find for boys. read more

Everytime I visit this location the customer service is very poor! On my last visit I was shopping for some clothes realizing I had my arms full with all the great deals I needed a bag to carry. Looking around I didn't see any near by so I walked to the checkout area and asked a cashier. Now seeing that my arms were full I Reilly thought shed say oh here let me get you one. But no! She said there over there by the doors pointing with her finger. I stood there atonished that she did that and didn't offer to get me one. Well the deals with my online coupon were really great however I didn't need the stuff that bad so I dropped all the stuff off and walked out. read more

The staff is always on their toes the place is organized and I always feel welcomed one staff member in particular went out of her to make sure I got discounts I wanted and also gave me her personal opinion on the gift I was getting her name was Angelica a very sweet girl she's quite helpful. Where to begin, my mother & I love this place but will never come to Riverbank location. Everyone is SO RUDE WITH ATTITUDE! You would think the manager would at least have some customer service but NOPE. I don't know if it's because she's been here and she's working the night time since they are open 24hrs. I used to thinks this store was ok to shop it and I shopped here regularly because I get the 30% off coupons, so I would spend lots of $$. I've had a few bad return experiences. The worst experience was when i had to exchange a christmas gift and after several attempts at looking for the right size I gave up because they no longer carried it. So when I tried to return it the girl tells me that she can see on the computer that I paid 14.99$ for it but because it had become a clearance item I could only exchange it for a clearance item that was around 8$. Or she could credit my kohls account around 4$ because I had used kohls cash during that purchase. So I asked if I could just exchange the blouse for something that was 14.99 and she said no. I even asked if I could get something more expensive and pay the difference and she said no because she did not have an actual receipt to scan. I was dumbfounded at the fact that she could see on her computer that I paid 14.99 but would not give 14.99 in merchandise. And to top it all off they are not even friendly. I've visited the kohls in Sonora and every single employee is friendly and inviting. read more

Not going back to this Kohls. The customer service was awful. This didn't want to process a simple request, not sure why, we didn't receive explanation other than they would not do it. Called Kohls corporate customer service, they said they COULD do it at the store, however it was up to management.... Wow, thank Riverbank Kohls, you have lost a customer. I stopped at the store in Sonora and they processed my request no problem, no questions asked. Why make things a hassle when they do not have to be? I will not be coming back to this store. Been on the phone all morning with khols asking for my discounts off a order for 415 dollars and they came up with a 101 reasons why i didn't receive them. I them was transferred several times to find "the right person to help me" yep all in all ridiculous of how they talk in circle to confuse you in thinking they are helping but in fact just keeping every thing the same you just don't know they still have not gave me a manger or anything and still on the phone as I am writing this .....its be 30 min and 4 hour all together. Still nothing be solved a simple phone call and discount should of been applied but nope still hanging on to this ....i am hoping after this everyone takes the right connections to avoid this crazy length of garbage I experienced. I hope these conversations are being heard by the owners of how much confusion, a honest ,loyal customer goes through for a discount or a question. Finally I got the manger and she gave me my 30 % that all the rest denied me...within 10 mins we were done with the transaction and I was drained but satisfied with the end results. Kohl's has great marketing strategies, which are advantageous to the consumer. This store is my favorite. It is well organized and fun to shop in. The only negative is that a couple of times I have chosen something from a clearance rack with a sale price tag and then been told by the cashier that the sale price was not correct, that someone apparently had put a different tag on the article. This is possible, I guess, but it is unlikely. If someone did that, hoping to buy the article for a lower price, and the cashier discovered the error, why wasn't the tag corrected before the article was replaced? I found this incident embarrassing, as the cashier likely thought that I was responsible. I believe that probably the computer price had not been changed to reflect the additional discount. This really should not happen; and, if it does, the cashiers need to investigate further before saying, "Somebody changed the tag." read more

There are clothes mixed up and shoved on the shelves, it looks like a pile of laundry. There are clothes all over the floor, you can't push a stroller through. Very frustrating. read more
