This store always has plenty of parking. It also has the bonus of Sephora inside. It's laid out like every other kohls and tends to have a fairly decent selection including clearance. The checkout usually moves pretty good and the people are friendly. read more

Very much like the four star Kohl'ses all over Wisconsin but here this Kohl's gets three stars even though it's just like the four star Wisconsin Kohl's stores. Why? Because it's 80 degrees and sunny outside and they are stocked just like the Kohl's I was in the day before at home in Milwaukee. I can't be the only traveler from the Midwest in November who escaped frigid temperatures on a cheap airline that charges for luggage thinking to get some warm weather clothes here? Not a single pair of flip-flops? Heavy winter coats instead? Yay! I grew up with Kohl's in Wisco and it's great to see the store out west. Open a Kohl's card!! Kohl's offers so many perks and bonuses to Kohl's cardholders that it's totally worth it. (just be careful to pay it off and don't carry a balance!) For example, last weekend I used my 30% off everything coupon AND got $10 per $50 spent in Kohl's cash. Basically, the bonuses really add up. Kohl's also has a very generous return policy so I'm never afraid to spend. They open at 8am which beats all the stores in Tucson Mall by two hours. A huge plus for us early risers. Their selection is better than JC Pennys; the quality is a bit better imo; and prices are lower, PLUS you can get an extra daily 15-20% off with a Kohl's credit card, PLUS a cash coupon with each purchase. EDITing this review to change their open time from 8am to 9am and removing one star because of this change. Why don't businesses "get it?" When I entered Kohl's, on the 8th of January, a friendly employee directed me to the blue jeans. I had just arrived at Kohl's from a Marshall's, where I did not find what I was looking for. The selection at Kohl's was huge! Matter of fact, this store is jammed with cool stuff. Some of it seemed expensive, but they had what I was looking for! At the checkout, I had a pleasant conversation with an employee. Her Dad had been in the Air Force, and I had been in the Army, so we had something in common. Kohl's is one of those stores where you have to get their credit card to get "discounts." Basically, they mark up their items 40-50% and then offer you "savings" as a member so that you end up paying about the same price as elsewhere, but you can feel good because you think you got a "deal." If you like discount games, this store may be for you. If you'd like to avoid the whole "sale" which really isn't a sale game, then look elsewhere. For those who prefer transparency in pricing, there are much better places to go. read more

For a department store there is no customer service and very little handicap access. I was helping a disabled client run errands today and We ran into kohl's and not every door has a handicap button to open. The button is very small and hard to see on the door that it's available on and the door is off to the side and not the main entrance. The isle ways are too small for a wheelchair to fit. Too many obstacles! Not one employee wile shopping ask if we needed any help. My client had a pile of cloths and things on her lap. I had to go all the way up to the front of store and ask if we could leave her things at counter wile my client finished shopping. Very disappointed with the whole shopping experience. How can one not love Kohl's. They are the greatest marketers of all the Dept. Stores. I'm constantly getting coupons from the newspaper $10.00 off $25.00 spent. Sometimes just a $10.00 coupon on anything. Always getting coupons for 30%,20% or 15%. All can be combined. They have very descent quality merchandise from clothing for the family to small appliances, housewares, toys ,jewelry.even make-up. I wear one of their lipsticks all the time. We are always sucked in with the savings they offer. I wish they had some more mirrors in the store. My only grippe. I'm one who puts an item of clothing next to me to see if it is worthwhile trying on. So, for me more mirrors would be a great addition. I have had to return to this Oro Valley Kohls THREE times over the last month or so to have the security tag removed. These cashiers are not trained and the store manager needs to be trained and do a better job at training them. Everything about this store is amazing! Let me start out by saying there are styles for guys and girls. Once you open a Kohl's Card, you start saving money like crazy. You get Kohl's cash, 30% off coupons, etc. on top of the already big sales they have on what seems like everything. Basically, you can get up to 75 or 80% off a lot of their inventory by being a smart shopper. They have a no questions asked return policy, and everything in the store is clean as can be. When I make a fated entrance into Kohl's to purchase a $35 item, I often leave after spending 5 times that amount. Let's face it--I have very little self-discipline when it comes to retail therapy. On my most recent visit, to my dismay, the Levi's display had been notably downsized and reduced to a mere quarter of what it used to be. I had to spend my reward points "money", before long, so I searched and found several pairs of Levi's in my size range. Fortunately, I was able to take about 7 pair of jeans into the fitting room. I found the perfect slimming, dark-dye skinny jeans. I also found the same pair in a lighter wash, so I justified taking those home as well. My brilliant, sensitive, handsome son called me from Maryland while I was shopping, and we talked for 33 minutes while I looked through blouses and found "easy-care, no-iron" ladies blouses. I took 3 to the register. The cashier told me I should open my own personal account, and that I can get an additional discount and pay off the balance immediately. She was so nice about it and not at all pushy. I followed through. As a result of opening my new personal account, I will also get a 20% discount on my next trip to Kohl's--which will be soon, so I can use my Kohl's cash" before it expires. The Kohl's cash amount is only$20, so of course I'm only going to buy one more item when I return to Kohl's. read more

I have been to a number of different Kohl's Department stores and this Kohl's is by far THE WORST! I generally love going to Kohl's. I use to shop there all the time until I moved to Tucson. The Kohl's in Oro Valley is so incredibly unorganized! Everything was misplaced. The clothing on the shelves were not folded. I couldn't find any of the right sized because the clothing was thrown about everywhere. The home department was a mess as well. Basically hardly anything was where is should be. It is so sad because I LOVE Kohl's! It was my main department store I shopped at, but I am sad to say I will no longer be shopping at the Kohl's in Tucson. What in the world has happened to training at this store! We got a "cashier" named Rosemarie. (RUN if you end up in her line) She was so busy talking to another associate that she completely screwed our order up! She also kept FOLDING items that wrinkle in ways that wrinkle them worse. THREE TIMES we asked her not to do that with a blouse AFTER we had her put plastic over the hanger! Then she folded my husbands new ties!!! Did they wrinkle? YES! Then she somehow charges our account which had lots of money available...for only HALF of the order and says we need another form of payment. When we said take these two gift card items off the order she said "I've gone too far now..I can't take them off." ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? She then VOIDED everything and started again and AGAIN folded the blouse!! We are closing our accounts and believe me...we have spent PLENTY there. Shame on the people that hired this woman who is more interested in her social interactions than doing her damn job. read more
