Went in to exchange my Keureg to Kohl's "hassle free exchange policy" After speaking with the "manager" Donna, she told me to find one of equal value and pulled up an item that was $118. After finding one I brought it to the counter only to be harassed by a stock boy stating there was no sku number on my exchange. The "manager" ,Donna, was standing there and said nothing. Take your money elsewhere..management has clearly gone downhill. If they are harassing people about their "hassle free return policy" they obviously are going out of business. I went to store today with low expectations & I was not disappointed. Same old dirty store with merchandise on the floors everywhere & the stuff on the shelves & racks is not even organized. And the only employees I ever saw were 2 cashiers with a line. I even looked back at customer service desk & there was no one there. I went back because I had a $5 birthday coupon but then didn't feel like crawling over crap to even look at anything. I won't ever go back again. So I guess customer service just isn't a thing here? My family and I always come here because they usually have really good deals. My mom bought 3 shirts that were $26 each, just a few days ago and decided yesterday she wanted to exchange them, not even return just exchange, they still have the tags on them. Well my mom couldn't find her recite, the cashier who was "helping" her with the exchange told her she had to get three separate items from the exact same brand and each have to be the exact same amount. She got upset and tried to catch attitude when my mom asked, if she could just exchange the three items for something else that was the total cost she spent for them instead of having to hassle through and finding three items that cost the exact same. The manager came over and said the same thing. Which was completely ridiculous. Especially after the cashier said to my mother "oh yes I remember y'all, I was the one who checked y'all out." so like ???? If the company doesn't have "hassle free returns" don't advertise it. But please make sure to advertise your awful customer service and help desk. As the woman and manager working that night make it a point that they don't care to help you with anything except getting out of the store. FROM MY MOM: "I went to exchange 3 shirts that were 26$ each but I didn't have my receipt and I paid cash so she said unless I'm exchanging for the exact same thing or another apt.9 item that cost the same exact amount that I cant exchange and if I want a refund that all they would give me is 4 dollars each for 2 shirts and 2 dollars for the 3rd. I told her I dont want a refund i want to exchange for other apt 9 items and she said only if each item is 26 dollars that i cant get stuff that just totals to that amount combined. The store itself is great. So far, I am happy with the service I have received in store, however, telephone customer service is another matter. We accidentally called a few minutes past 7pm to post a payment that we only got money for the day before. Our normal payment is $27.00. They are charging us $48.00 next month. Trouble is, we cannot afford to pay the additional money since we are on a fixed social security income. When asked to lower it, they said the computer will not let them and they could do nothing. Who runs this company, people or machines? They told me they would rather lose a long time customer over $21.00 than fix the issue so that we can afford to continue paying on our account. I even called the store locally and they said they were powerless to help which is the only thing I have to complain about with regards to our local store. Where is the customer service? Where is the care and concern? If your not yet a customer, don't become one. If you are, be careful to always call before 7pm or you too will have your bill doubled, or close to it. read more

I like Kohls but I don't always think of going to see what they have. It's also a place that I feel is hit and miss, you never know what you will find or if you can find a good deal or not. I don't always feel like their sales are very good discounts on the regular price. read more

Customer service desk employees are so rude here! Was trying to exchange a King sized sheet set I got for Christmas for a Queen size and the girl at the returns desk was really rude and told me she couldn't do that. She stated that she would give a refund on a merchandise credit of the lowest price ever recorded for that item and then I can use that towards the Queen set. She gave me $21 in merchandise credit though the item I was exchanging was $99 and guess what.. the Queen set was $79. She argued there was nothing she could do about it. Good sales and coupons that can't be beat. Average customer service. Nice to greet you as you walk in but encountered an unfriendly employee when returning something at customer service. I had the MOST awful shopping experience with Kohl's this week. Nov 9, 6:30pm, I ordered and paid for a shirt online. Scheduled for store pick up. Received order summary which says that when my order is ready for pick up I will receive a separate email. Nov 10, I waited half a day and still had not receive an email about the order being ready for pick up. 3:15pm, I called the store, the store replied that the item has been ready, come over anytime for pick up. 6:55pm, went over to the store for pick up; got told that the order was cancelled. I did NOT cancel the order. Sales associates could not tell me why my order was cancelled either. Checked inbox and found that at 5:15pm an email was sent to me saying that my order was cancelled and refund was being processed. Night time manager says day time manager will know more. Call back tomorrow. Nov 11, 4:45am, Received an email from Kohl's, saying my item is ready for pick up, but that I must pick it up on Nov 10, otherwise, my payment will be refunded. Well....How am I physically possible to time travel? Anyways, call the day time manager, who was as rude and unhelpful as he could be, gave me a 844 number(toll), told me that there's nothing he can do, it's all online store's business, I called that number...which took me to a phone menu...asked for an account number....I do NOT have an account number as I checked out as a guest. Called the manager back who told me WHY ARE YOU CALLING BACK AT THE STORE? THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO. I told him about the account number situation, he replied it's your order number. Hung up. Well, I called the 844 number and punched in my order number.....it did not work....Account number and order number are not equivalent. So I was at a dead end. Track my order status again on kohl's.com, my order status about my shirt was "PICKED UP". Well. That's wonderful because my account was charged and not refunded because my order was already "PICKED UP". I was unable to pick up my item because the day time manager insisted that I pay again. Mind you the fact that he knows he has my item. There was no proof that I picked up the item. No signature, or anything whatsoever. Plus the fact that when I try to pick up the item, I was told my order was cancelled. Day time manager's name is Jorge. Lubbock, TX. It was an extremely unpleasant experience. He transferred me to customers service numerous times, and customers service transferred me back to him because they don't know what to do either. He doesn't know what to do (he should know what to do...he is the store manager...) and simply tossed me aside. read more

Overall I love Kohls the deals are amazing and if you know how to use your coupons you can get amazing prices ! But I will say on several occasions I've had bad experiences with the customer service area of the store there is an older lady that generally works there literally had a price match from the day before and she told me that she didn't have time for that! I'm sorry but that's your job especially in the customer service department was absolutely floored that I was told that by an employee. I talked to the manager and the manager was happy to assist me but that's just not acceptable for any customer to be told that by customer service employee ! This Lubbock, TX, location is a total mess. In the men's dept. we had to step over clothing tossed on the floor, the racks were totally disorganized and the styles (coats with sleep wear ---really?) all mixed together. We had questions about sizes but could not find a clerk anywhere to help us.
