If you're from out of town and more used to mainstream stores like Fleet Feet, you will not be disappointed coming to this store. It's quite similar. They seem to contract with only the most popular and biggest brands for mostly track and road runners. Think brands like On, Saucony, Brooks, Hoka, and Altra. But they also include Topo Athletic in their lineup, which appeals to me, even if it's only a few shoe models to choose from. Socks include Balega, Feetures, and others but no Injinji - a big bummer for me. They have a small smattering of running clothing, accessories, insoles, nutrition, watches, and other items. Selection is larger at their main location in town. As a specialty store, they have specialty store prices. That is to say, they can be a bit high. They are also, as mentioned, directed towards strictly road runners. I have not found trail running shoes here. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They are plugged into the local running community with a couple of running group meetings here per week. They even occasionally raffle off gift cards. The two young guys working that day were nice, but sure were lazy. I inquired about big kid cowgirl boots. One employee walked us back there but gave us the sense that they didn't have much therefore he wasn't going to help anymore. It seemed like with their nonchalant attitudes, the lack of size availability, and slim pickings in other sections that they were either short on supplies or going out-of-business. It seemed more like Wood's Boot Town. Their kid's boot's prices were similar to Cavendar's and other nearby western wear stores: + Kid's desert scene boots = $69.97 + Baseball thread boots (yes, that's what she wanted because "they are super comfortable, Mom.") = $58.50 Not hard to find, but kind of "out yonder" over on 19th Street west of Loop 289.
