The primary reason I usually end up at a Kohl's is to check out the clearance men's aisle for clothing. As someone who is awkwardly shaped (C'mon. You've met me. You know it's true.), I like that Kohl's typically carries big n' tall sizes (though, let's face it. I'm far from tall. I'm more like "big n' awkward," but no one's thought to make that clothing line yet). This location is in the Union Chapel area just down a bit from Fashion Mall. This is an older location that also houses a Sephora. Both Kohl's and Sephora have a rewards program - both are honored here. This strip center includes a few places I enjoy including Maple (breakfast/brunch; formerly known as Le Peep), Smallcakes, McAlister's, Ulta, Game Preserve and others. I keep saying I'm going to Terra Gaucha, but I haven't made it there yet. Back to Kohl's. At today's visit, only the right side doors were open. It seemed they were pretty lightly staffed. The people here are typically pretty friendly, though you'll never get through without being asked about rewards and if you want Kohl's credit. I used to massively avoid Kohl's due to accessibility issues - it has improved quite a bit. The carts have also improved. If you're going from one end of the strip center to the other (Kohl's is on one end), then as a wheelchair user you will have to leave the sidewalk. This strip center seems to allow/encourage sidewalk obstacles; thus, I'm nearly always in the street unless I move my car. The clothing selection is solid, though price points wildly vary. However, the clearance section really can go into clearance. For example, today I bought two pairs of shorts and a t-shirt for $16 total. I was quite pleased with all three. I've never checked out dressing rooms, though these days I typically push my luck as transfers are a bit more difficult. This is a solid mid-range experience. I'd actually hoped to find a microwave today, though I really didn't see anything that grabbed me. In fact, other than clearance I seldom buy anything else here. But hey, if you're awkwardly shaped like me Kohl's is a place to try out. I typically don't see them go much over 2-3x, though I did see some 4x shirts. read more

Their customer service sucks and they screw you with late fees! We had a $9 balance when we closed our account. They locked us out of their online payment system. When I finally had the time to call them in person there were $180 in late fees on a $9 balance. They refuse to waive any of them because they said I was ineligible because my account was closed. read more

The shopping center for this location is pretty empty so provides for an easy to park/shop situation. Store is clean and organized and the employees are nice. I mainly shop at Kohl's when I receive gift promotions in the mail/email because it allows me to score pretty good deals. I got my $5 birthday gift and thought I'd score something nice. Found a pack of nose clearing strips priced at about $10. Went to the cashier to find that the birthday gift has more restrictions than their usual gift promos, cant use it on the usual name brand stuff but also not applicable on all beauty goods and consumables! Came in to buy some gifts and do an Amazon return. ( by the way it's an the easiest way to return items!) I wasn't too impressed with their selection. This store is a disaster - impossible to shop amidst the racks of emptiness and literal piles of product in the aisles. I couldn't get out of here quick enough. I went to JCP in Castleton and found exactly what I needed in an organized and clean store. I can't believe a store manager would let this happen. Really bad. Avoid. As far as Kohl's goes this location is usually one of the cleaner ones. Everything is folded and very well organized. We came in looking for a piece of luggage and left empty handed. They do have quite a few luggage pieces but zero garment bags. Do people not fly with suits and dress pants anymore? Looks like a job for Amazon. read more

The store can be a bit unorganized at times with merchandise in random places due to the customers. So perhaps very little attention by the staff during the day. They always have great sales and those enrolled in Kohl's reward/cash certainly take advantage of the deals. The fitting rooms were almost filled to the brim with tried on items so there may not have been someone staffed for the rooms while I was there. This is a Kohl's that I always forget about, because it is pushed all the way back in the corner of a shopping center off of 86th Street. It is in a weird place, but that means it's not very crowded. At least, it wasn't when I visited on a weekday. The aisles were clean and organized, and the whole store was very pleasant to visit. I don't usually like buying things at Kohl's, but I find myself in one at least once a month because of coupons and returning merchandise and whatnot. I trult feel some of their stuff is just too high, yes they have sales but a sale to me is a way lower price. My husband hates this place, and I can't figure out why. They have decent brand names, a good selection, and the customer service is pretty good. If you are looking for picture frames, they have a great selection and the prices are nearly always 40% - 50% off. Same with clothes. However, they do that thing I hate where they jack up the prices so they seem fancy, but them have them perpetually on sale so you can actually afford them (who pays $50 full price for a picture frame??). They do lose one star for frequently having dressing rooms that are not picked up. I already hate trying on clothes -- don't make me stand in the middle of someone else's failed attempts! read more

Also picked up a few things for an upcoming vacation. Overall, a good experience. No one bugged me, but then again, no one offered assistance either. I probably won't go out of my way to return, but will consider it a viable option if close again in the future. read more

So many sales and so many jeans! I never really shopped at Khol's until I moved to Indiana, not sure why because they have the greatest deals! You know that old saying "You have to spend money to make money"? Well, you can do that at Khol's... they rope you back in. This is not my usual Khol's but the store is relatively clean (considering it's now Christmas shopping time) and the staff is friendly and helpful. Hot tip: Apparently the large dressing room in the women's department has a bad lock or something because even though I knocked... there was a half naked woman in there.. whoops. I love their Rock N' republic jeans and they have great sale son those. Men's jeans are just as good! Location is in the heart of Castleton traffic congestion. Invest a few mins learning the 'back way' into the strip mall to save your sanity and a bit of time.Visited to find xmas pjs as advertised. Unfortunately, the selection was picked over with very few sets left. My son needed XL adults and could only find S or a few sets of M. I've had better luck here on a low customer traffic evening and allowing time to browse kids Clearance. With a little patience and a handy 30% off coupon some deals are practically free. Usually size 6 and under are the best and definitely much larger girls selection. read more

Located across from the "fashion mall" it's convenient if I am also going to Carter's and Oshkosh. The best customer service! I returned a Fila backup that was ripping a month after I bought it. I called ahead to see if it was even possible to return and they were more than welcoming me to come in and get my return. I was disappointed by Fila, in my eyes a top brand, for how the backpack was tearing apart after a month. But the customer service associate was undertaking and liked for the best return, even after their back to school sale was over. I got exactly what I paid for. She was great at explaining Kohls return policy! I felt like I truly got treated well and received many smiles from the associates on the floor. Great staff!! read more
