I wanted to share feedback from my recent visit to your store on Saturday, October 25, at approximately 5:35 p.m. I typically use this location to return Amazon packages and have always gone to the designated area in the back of the store. During this visit, however, I was directed to the front instead. When I arrived at the front, the signage pointed toward Customer Service, so I waited there for a short while. I noticed several employees performing various tasks, including two at the registers. After waiting, I asked one of the cashiers for clarification. A female associate informed me that all Amazon returns now go through the main line. I mentioned that the signage was somewhat misleading, as it still indicated Customer Service, but her response was curt--she suggested I "take it up with Corporate" and explained they had several call-outs that day. While I understand staffing challenges can occur, I was taken aback by the tone and lack of professionalism in the response. I wanted to bring this to your attention so the situation could be reviewed, as it may reflect an opportunity for better communication and customer service training. So this review is for the company itself. When they first opened we were at the opening in Vacaville California. The clothes were quality and fashion spot on. Especially for the Vera Wang collection. Through the years as with many, many companies, quality ran through the gauntlet. It is no more! Plastic shoes, thin, scratchy materials. Sometimes if I go I can find a quality item, but I have to hunt and dig, like my big heavy Madden Girl coat for winter. I love it. The big stopper for me was getting a phone call yesterday from a thick, thick accent from I believe the Philippines. The man was asking for me and insisted to speak to me, which I had told him several times it was me and asked what this was about. Then he gives me information that I had to think and decipher that I had a balance on my card. yes, I know. I was on vacation out of the country for 10 days. Payment due in 8th. I have never, ever received a call from Kohl's! EVER! I do always pay in full within a week or 2. Nope this time I was late. I told him I thought it was a scam and he started to say You want to pay now? I say No. He raises his voice and insists several times, You pay bill! With that I hung up thinking, yes it was a scam. I git on the website & found yes I was late by 5 days! 5 days!!!! His amount was correct. So now, I paid and canceled my account! Kohl's you outsourced your company and the standards I used to purchase a whole lot of products through the years! Good bye- Good riddance!! There are still quality stores with quality clothes that the staff still cares and attends to the clientele. You may not care now but enough people will. Many stores have gone belly up, and you are at risk having others in other countries have our private information access and to have them make aggressive threatening phone calls to great clients, well sucks for you CEO! read more

Kohl's - empty. so weird to not be in a state that has everything - Men's Clothing Near Me - HAYMARKET, Virginia

I want to give a shout out to Dallas at the Kohl's at the Haymarekt store in Virginia. I have been trying for 6 months to resolve a balance on my statement of $1. Yes, one dollar. I have had collection notices and 6 months worth of statements, 6 different people at customer service department 800-564-5740 that could not help me. My bank did not deduct the correct amount leaving the balance. When I was in the area of my store I walked in and paid the dollar in cash. It never was applied to my account. Finally, I spoke with Dallas and he understood my situation and was able to resolve this balance. Mind you, Kohl's has filed a collection letter and it has affected my credit score. They lost a valuable customer since 1998 all over $1. Goodbye Kohl's ... I didn't let the door hit me on the way out! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this Kohl's location! Wonderful selection of kids clothing, home decor and small appliances. The cashier was very helpful when we checked out too, making sure we got the best deal for the blender we bought. The store is also so clean and orderly! Something I have found to be lacking in so many other stores like it. Will definitely be going here from now on to pick up clothes for my boys instead of Target whose kid clothes have gone downhill. Might still stop into old navy and H&M for one off items and Nordstrom for anything high end needed. For their everyday gear, the prices and quality of the merchandise at this Kohl's can't be beat. read more

Kohl's is a standard experience which is what I've come to expect from their stores. Don't get me wrong, I prefer a standard experience, so this not a bad thing in my book. This location is a bit smaller than other locations I have been to in the area. I actually like that it's not so big, because then I can get around a lot easier. On the downside the selection is limited because of the size. One thing I love about Kohl's is the cheap prices. Even better is that the price tag or signage is sometimes higher because when you get to the register it's even cheaper. This isn't always the case but it's a welcome surprise when it does happen. This store is clean and my encounters with the staff have always been positive. Since this Kohl's is close to my home I will continue to come here. *This business is gun carry friendly. read more

One of the cleanest and brightest kohl's I've been into! The staff was very friendly, fitting rooms were kept very clean, the petite section was bit small, but i did find a couple things to leave with! The new "carts" are pretty cool with better hanger holders! read more

We've shopped here numerous times. This location is clean. Nice clothes. Look for the sales. Mix and match on sales items. Get more for your buck. Clearance is ok. 50/50 I can find one item on the racks that I like...and in my size? Thats tough. Seems like everything is too big or too small most times. Someone will always shout out "I can take you over here". And today my checkout lady was really nice. She was at the c/s desk. read more

I was curious to check this Kohls out, since it had recently opened in town, and I hadn't poked my head in yet. It's alright -- It's a standard, mid-range department store. It's bright, shiny, new, and clean. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have any one-piece swimsuits, and when I went to the bra section to browse, the racks seemed like a mess, with all the sizes jumbled together. When I asked someone what the largest cup size was, she said she didn't know. Seems like their corporate people need to spend some more time training their employees. read more

We are regular, card carrying customers. The store fits a need and customer service is usually good enough to get by. Tonight my son and I were trying to quickly find a pair of shoes for my wedding but ran into a bullrush at closing time. I've never seen the deep commitment and customer focus we experienced to inform us that the store was closing. PA announcement and 3 consecutive associates told us that the store was closing. We had a shoe selected, but simply needed to find the right box. There was no interest in helping us find a product, but great enthusiasm in letting us know we were no longer welcome. If any of the 3 automatons had offered to help, we'd probably have left as happy customers. Upon informing the manager that we would never return, she replied, "I'm sorry, the store is closed". I love Kohl's! (Haymarket location, specifically) I only come in during sales, because they have the BEST deals. Everything is always easy to find & I have literally always had a pleasant checking out experience. I have to give Lisa (unsure of her last name) a shout out, she is by far my favorite Kohl's associate. She's always super friendly and very helpful when I have any questions or concerns. *love how the bathroom is always clean and located up front! read more

Andrea Reaves, one of the managers at the Kohl's in Haymarket, VA goes above and beyond to ensure that Kohl's customers are taken care of and happy. I had an issue with an expensive product and she took care of me right away and made me feel like a very valued customer. I've always been a big fan of Kohl's and I am even more now!! read more

I shopped at this store 9/15/17 at 3.05pm. In the Men's section there was a sign notably displayed for a men's shirt sale price $19.99 and the shirts were displayed on the table next to the sign. I asked on of the sales Associates named Jeffrey to confirm the price which he did by calling a manager who after a long discussion agreed to the price of $19.99 for the shirt and he marked the ticket to reflect the sale price. I then went to the cashier to pay for my purchase which was over $100.00 and as I was about to pay a Female manager I presume came hurriedly over to the cashier and very unprofessionally said that she was not going to honor the sale price as according to her it was a mistake by Kohl's. I have had a kohl's charge card for many years along with my wife and have made large purchase over the years but I would not recommend anyone shopping at this store as they do not honor their prices and do not respect customers, I will probably stop doing business with this store in future as well as advise customers to verify prices before they purchase as the store sale signs are very misleading and deceptive, This will be reported to the BBB as well. read more

I just want to give a BIG shout out to Brandon! I went to the store wanting to return a perfume. I had bought the wrong one. I had already opened it so I thought there really wasn't a chance to return it. I had a couple of questions so the customer service associate called for help. I barely waited. Not only did Brandon help me pick out a new perfume he gave me 30% off and a 10 dollar credit for waiting. I love this level of customer service!! I really like Kohls. I like the selection of clothes and the prices for everything. I've never had a bad experience there until today. I understand that retail workers are under pressure to make sales and have quotas for the credit card sign ups. But an employee today was extremely pushy when trying to get my girlfriend to sign up for a card. She politely declined the offer to sign up and after the employee described the benefits of signing up for the card, my girlfriend again politely declined. Instead of understanding that we were not interested, she asked us "why not?" I stepped in and asserted that we were not interested again. She tried one more time, but we were done talking about this. It's one thing to try and get sign ups at the register, but to have an employee walking around the store, not offering to help with anything, but for the sole purpose of getting credit card sign ups is ridiculous. I don't know if this was instructed by the managers or the employee took the initiative to try it, but we left without buying anything. read more

my cousin works here and i can not tel you how many times she's complained about this place and the management. i always here how rude most of the managers are. my cousin told the manager ahead of time that she couldn't work thanksgiving day and they didn't listen to her and is making her work from opening to closing, and then again at 6 am tomorrow which is ridiculous considering she's a college student and she's under 18 years old. she's never requested a day off and she politely went to talk to the manager and apparently she was incredibly rude. she also told me one of her managers got to have a day off for thanksgiving but she couldn't. i won't ever come to this location because of how bad and rude the management is and i don't support kohls as a company because they're keeping family away during family holidays, which is just heartbreaking. read more

To begin, this is a review about the customer service I received here when I had asked for help and for doing basic tasks like checking someone out. There isn't anything horrible about the selection of this store. I went to this Kohl's the other day to get a simple black dress for a funeral reception. Though the man I asked for help from was kind, he had no idea where any of the dresses would be, and I had a very hard time finding some myself because the sections were not at all marked and dresses were scattered through different subsections in a large women's department. I finally found a dress that I liked, and so I went to check out. This is where the real issues began. First, while checking out, the cashier and I were polite to each other, but despite my saying "No, thank you" the first time he tried to sell me the Kohl's credit card, he continued to try and push the card making me say "No, not today" an additional two times (I said "No" at least 3 times). Once finally checked out, I thought nothing of it. However, that night when I was laying out the outfit for the funeral that following morning, I noticed that the cashier had failed to take off the electronic ink tag. This is a simple mistake, however, I was upset because despite being very straight forward and polite about what I wanted from the transaction, he had failed to do the most crucial thing for a purchase (that forced me to not be able to wear the dress) because he was pushing for me to buy the Kohl's card so hard. I did not have time to drive back and fix the electronic tag issue before the funeral time, so after wearing a different outfit, I returned the dress back to this store. When I went to customer service, I was still polite, despite the fact that there was a significant hiccup with the purchase I made. I told the customer service/returns lady that I wanted to return the dress, which she helped me with, but when I calmly mentioned that actually the reason I was returning it was because someone had failed to remove the electronic tag while only paying attention to the prospect of me spending more money, she did not say a word. I was not giving her grief, as it was not her fault. However, for someone who works in customer service, she treated me with complete disregard and a generally insolent attitude. When my boyfriend noticed the way she sassily looked at me when I just mentioned there was an issue, he offered: "actually, it was a problem because the cashier wasn't paying attention and he was pushing the Kohl's card so hard my girlfriend had to reject three times and then there was this huge mistake that prevented my girlfriend from wearing this dress she purchased for a funeral this morning." She looked at him in the most insolent way possible as if to say "so what? It's not my problem" and did not say a word. He continued by "you know, just since I know you all are interested in feedback and all that." She continued to offer no words, I finished the transaction, and I personally ended it with "have a nice day" and a genuine smile, which she did not even attempt to offer first. I have no idea why I had such a bad experience here, but I can tell you that the employees I interacted with were careless and disrespectful. I am not one to have high measures for these things in big department stores, and I do not jump on people when something is not their fault. But, despite my calm and understanding attitude with the employees here, none of them seemed to care or to adequately complete their jobs. The cashier failed to enable me to even use my own purchase, and customer service had no cares for my concern or to even reply when being spoken to. It is unlikely that I will be shopping at this Kohl's again. read more
