Wow, went in just now, spent almost $400 in the store and the cashier was so freaking rude and was short with me during my entire checkout. Not sure what her deal was. When I tried to use a coupon, she said it wouldn't work on The name brand stuff, I was like, okay, but it should apply to others. She reluctantly took it. Why would I want to save 20% on this purchase so I can pay 20% interest on the same purchase. They did have some nice looking Champion sweatpants I will be going back for. I found when trying to get a specific item but it's nearly impossible to do. I was treated condescendingly by Store staff and found it very difficult to get actual customer service. After having difficult problems what's the Kohl's app, no luck in person at the store, difficult to understand and not actually explained through the customer service as well as no luck resolving my issue when speaking with the Executive offices. This used to be my weekly or bi-weekly go to store especially during the holiday season. After this experience it will no longer be that. Unfortunately when even speaking with somebody in the executive office they don't seem to really care about customer service or resolving issues or the fact that they lost a customer. read more

WORST customer service imaginable. Spent 40 mins gathering items, then 15 mins waiting in line while only 3 of 8 registers were open. Cashiers were clueless on problem solving and incapable of selling me my items. I made the mistake of taking a box of shoes with only 1 shoe and out of 2 employees no one could figure out how to fix the problem. read more

It's pretty easy to find a parking spot and the location is convenient. The music is usually blaring right outside the entrance and it always startles me. Upon entering the store it's very easy to find what your looking for, with the exception of holidays the store is usually pretty clean and put together. The employees are always happy to help you locate something, they are very friendly. Even around the holidays when retail can get stressful. The fitting rooms are self-serve and the doors are always unlocked unless someone is in them, which is a huge plus. However, I have a few gripes. The first one is that there's always these massive long lines even if the store itself isn't busy. It's stressful on the customer and the cashier. It doesn't work out both ways. What really irritates me is them pushing the Kohl's credit card, I know it's their job to push them, but they get distracted and almost always forget to remove the security tags on my merchandise. If I'm lucky it'll cause the sensors to beep when I exit the store so I can go right back and have it removed, but it doesn't always happen. Sometimes I'll remember to check if they're removed, but I feel it isn't my job to do so. Then I get home ready to put the clothing I purchased away to see the security tag in tact, so I have to drive ALL the way back and wait in another line at the service desk to have it removed. This has happened more than 6 times and I've been shopping here for years. Aside from that, you really do save money here. The Kohls cash and coupons on top of merchandise already on sale, I don't think I've ever paid full price for anything here. I also really like the Apt 9 bath towels, they are a decent size, soft, long lasting, and the prices are good, even at regular price. They also have good prices on uniform clothing. This is definitely the best Kohls in a 25 mile radius. So I will keep coming. read more

Treated like a common criminal. On Friday, 11/14, I returned a gift given to me by a former co-worker. Because I didn't have a receipt, I was issued a card with store credit, which was understandable. However, to issue the credit, which was only $9.57, the customer service associate needed to record my driver's license information, which I thought was excessive, but oh well. So today I went into Kohl's to buy some athletic wear. When I got to the register, the cashier tried to scan my card with the $9.57 store credit, but it wouldn't scan. So she asked me how old the card was, and I replied "two days, maybe three." So, all flustered now because she thinks I'm using a phony card, she calls a corporate number to get an authorization code. While on the line, she asks for my license, which I presented to her. Even though the card was three days old and issued with my driver's license information, the corporate office would not authorize it. Then they asked her to rub off a box on the back of the store credit card, you know, to reveal the secret code. Even then, the corporate office would still not authorize mt store credit for $9.57. So now she has to call a manager over. In the meantime, the line has grown so long that the cashier has to call another cashier up to the front. Now the half-wit manager starts asking me the same questions. When did you get this card? What was it for? Blahblahblah. Then she sees that the box with the secret code had been scratched off, and she wants to know who is behind that. Surely if I scratched it off then I must be guilty of using a phony card, because this is a little scam I run, you know. I go to department stores around town trying to beat them for $9.57. This whole farce has now been going on almost 15 minutes. So now the manager wants me to go up to the service desk, at which point I had had enough. I pushed the clothes I was about to purchase back to the cashier and left. I told them if they thought I was going to pay them for the privilege of being treated like a common criminal, they were mistaken, and that I would take my business to a store where they know what the hell they are doing. I will just as soon cut up that store credit as ever set foot in that store again. read more

Yes,there may be delays at the checkout at times,but the alternative is to have Kohls feel the sting of fewer customers and end up a victim of on-line shopping. Ishop there regularly,the prices and merchandise are first class,and while there are fewer sales assistants on the floor,those that work there are unfailingly courteous and helpful. Kohls management does everything it can to keep the experience a good one,and I thank them. Hopefully they will be here for a good long time and I will keep stopping in. read more
