A once great brand can no longer be trusted. I have a dozen BB shirts in my closet but my recent experiences have turned me away from the company. As many others on the BB site confirm, the sizes have changed from the past. If you try it on in the store, this may not be an issue. But purchasing online is very risky.
You are not allowed to wear or wash the item before returning. This makes it difficult to check the size. It also means that you dare not be a nice customer that tries the shirt for a day or two in hopes that it will start to get more comfortable. I politely discussed this with customer service and a supervisor; they made it perfectly clear that the size and puckering defects were irrelevant. I even asked the supervisor what she would do in my place. She hesitantly agreed that I should no longer buy Brooks Brothers.
I will give them credit for having nice customer service. The problem is that customer service has no authority or flexibility. read more
