Kohl's is a store that has a little if everything. Clothing, costume jewelry, home decor, kitchenware, small appliances, shoes, workout clothes and bedding. Quality and price is middle of the road. For me, Kohl's is never my destination or on my regular rounds. Once in awhile I stop in if I see an article of clothing that I found online or something on sale in their flyer and I want to check it out in person first. Afterwards, I quickly peruse the rest of the store. This location is ok, nothing special, typical Koh's. Depending on the day, the clothing section can be very disorganized and dressing rooms filled with clothing people leave behind. Sometimes there are super good sales that make the hunt worth it. Honestly, I wonder how this chain is still in business with other stores carrying similar merchandise at lower price points. read more

I should be able to pay for an item that I have in hand online. If I have an order number they should be able to find the number and process the order and let me walk out the door. They don't have enough people checking people out and they don't have any sort of self service. Their customer service is abysmal. Management is no where to be found in the store. BEWARE shoppers! At present, this store is playing music that is angry rap, uses the F word & is not suitable for children to hear. Songs like this are mixed in with other songs so as to hide them apparently. Greatly disappointed in lack of management attention nor respect by allowing such songs to play in the store - any store! This store must not want to sell anything. Store employees, I believe, kept taking my cart. First time it happened, there was nothing in it. I park the cart off to the side while shopping so I don't block the isle, trying to be considerate of other shoppers. I could understand why someone would take it. But the second time, I had items in the cart I wanted to buy. I asked a store employee who was in the try-on area. She would not look me in the eye, but laughed when asked her if she saw my cart. Overall: Customer service is about honesty and ethics which was clearly not demonstrated at the Clackamas, Oregon Kohl's location. Location: It's in very close proximity to I-205 with an ample amount of parking and other surrounding stores and restaurants. Service: My wife and I found a small container near the home/kitchen section without a price tag or any labels indicating the brand. We asked an elder female associate who recommended us go to customer service to get pricing but said it's a great find as the wooden lid could also be used as cutting board - this got us extremely excited as we also needed a small cutting board! When I got to customer service, the team member called the home department and they immediately told her that they didn't know the pricing. This completely threw me off because she got an answer without describing the product, so I confirmed with her it was the same exact elderly team member that directed me to customer service! Even though it wasn't that far away, the elderly associate should not have directed me there. In my eyes, I saw this as someone that didn't want to deal with it and tried to pass it off but forgot that karma comes around! read more

Place seems to be going down hill since retail returns after covid. Half the time one of the entrances doesn't work. It used to be the main entrance, target side. 2 weeks ago, both were open, this past week the Stanford side was closed. Maybe a cone outside the doors would be helpful rather than a paper in the window. I needed to do a return and parked on the wrong side, of course. When last weekend both doors were open, just the Stanford side registers were closed. This is a convenient location for me for Amazon returns, although they keep moving where that is! Leave Amazon in one spot please!! I don't usually find anything I like there to really shop for, but I did need some bras and bought them there and they were comfortable. They seem middle of the road quality wise, kind of like a Sears was. I go there but mainly because Amazon Returns are in there. read more

What can I say, I love my Kohls. I love their prices, I love their specials, I love their Kohls cash. If you have a credit card with Kohls they give you an even deeper discount. They held over all their summer stuff from last year because sales were down and put it in storage and resold it this year. As a Kohls regular, I noticed this and the selection really suffers. But I was in the other day and all their fall stuff is new. Look for the sales. Kohls is one of the last surviving national Department Stores, so kudos. Geez, what happened too Kohls? So I ran over to this Kohls location to see what the store was like and shop for shoes. First of all, I pulled up to the front of the store and parked. Only to see that they had closed up this side of the store. So, j oh walked all the way around to the other entrance. I tell it this way, only so you can get the full experience. It was a hot summer day, so by the time I walked around to the other entrance I broke a sweat. I went into the shoe department, and it looked like a bomb went off! All the boxes were askew, the flaps were out, everything was mixed up, and messy. It needs some serious help & attention. I did see they were hiring, everyone seems to be, yet the homeless are still pan handling free income. Another story. Anyway, no one approached me during my time in the store. And as I made my way to the checkout, 6-7 cashiers were working with at least 12 people in line. It was just all around a weird experience, like Christmas in August. I press on in my training to continue to be a dude focused. Stay on task. Go in, get what you came for , and get out. Don't think I'll be visiting this spot again, they have a great surrounding space with thriving popular retail, pretty sure that why their doors are still open, drainage. read more

The store is very well lit wth lights that are not too bright or overbearing, the staff has been routinely pleasant and helpful. The selection, not too shabby with seemingly equal parts pricing and quality. I do like the store though I do not visit here often. In the strip mall with Kohl's are several restaurants and some other stores to shop at. I have nothing bad to say about the store, and do plan to be back as needed. read more

There was a lady who looked in her 40s-50s filipino or hispanic with glasses and black wavy hair who patiently helped me download the Kohls app and navigate to the coupons just so I could get the 40% off. I wouldn't have even known about the coupon but she went out of her way to make sure I got it. I worked at kohls previously and that is true customer service! read more

I like Kohl's. They have insanely cheap stuff at times and they always have sales. It's like a nicer Mervyn's. I got a brown corduroy jacket for 25 bucks. However, some stuff isn't cheap, like the Sketchers they have are much less at other places and even on the Sketchers website. Kohl's has a great selection of clothes for adults and kids, and they may not be the BEST quality, but they are fairly trendy and not old people looking. They have the usual cheesy department store jewelery selection for those with lots of love and a little cash. The makeup selection looks decent and I've been told the Kohl's cosmetics and body stuff is good. I haven't tried them. The dressing rooms are spacious, you can take five things in. I snuck in six. Don't tell on me! Every staff person I met was pleasant and helpful. They seem to like working there, although it just opened. Give it a few months, they'll be as cynical and disillusioned as the rest of us. I like the little half carts, but you would think they would make the aisles more than 1/2 inch wider than the carts, so when you are walking around while shopping the hangers of the clothes you put in the cart don't snag everything else along the way. Maybe I'm just clumsy. In fact, I know I am. But the aisles should be wider, I'm just saying. For 140 bucks I walked out with the jacket, three bras, a pair of isotoner slippers with little massagey arch inserts, a pair of pants, a shirt, and a little Halloween decoration for the front porch. Not a bad catch! Kohl's is at the Clackamas Promenade. Again, the "Clackamas Promenade" isn't anything fancy, it's a bunch of stores across the street from the mall. There's a Cost Plus, Nordstrom's Rack, Target, Sports Authority, and some other stores there, and Kohl's is next to Marineopolis so you can get your "cheap bad sushi on a conveyor belt" fix after you shop. I went in parked and the doors are locked. Nothing is posted in the parking lot. If you are so understaffed you can't keep doors open at least put a sign in the parking lot. I thought 3-4pm Saturday would be a busy enough time to open all the doors. After running around the store to find the one item which is just inside the door I parked next is out of stock. Wasted time. Wasted walk around the store. Buying the shoes from Amazon or Zappos instead. read more

Customer service is always hit or miss at Kohls. The first two ladies I encountered were super nice and helpful. Then the woman who checked me out was really nasty to the point of not even acknowledging me until she finished the transaction. Then suddenly it was like she realized she might get in trouble and so she was over the top nice to the point of it being obnoxious. Kohls reported my account as 30 days overdue to the credit agencies. The card had 5$ on it from when I agreed to open it. The due date on the payment was 10/14 and I didn't get my card and statement until around that time. I paid the 5$ on 10/22. On 10/23 I was moving forward with putting an offer on my dream house. When they pulled my credit it was low. Ive never paid anything late and have always had a fantastic credit score. Ive called all 3 credit agencies and Kohls and opened claims. Kohls refuses to help and says I'll receive a letter that it was reversed in 30 days. I will lose the house by then. They say there's nothing else they can do to help. I've called them multiple times and they admit it was there error and say that they have had many people calling with similar situations. Needless to say I have closed the account and will never shop there again. read more

I made sure to go at a time when they are not busy. Manager, well she told me she was, at the checkout directed me to the location of the product I wanted. I didn't see any other workers on the floor so that made me have to hunt just a tiny bit. No problem. I found what I was looking for and the manager explained some of the idiosyncrasies to ordering for store pick up. Though with clothing, I usually try it on. I will return as their clothes may not be the best, but the sale prices reflected that. I was in and out in under 5 minutes. Check out time per person seemed a bit slower than average. Clothes shopping recently. All sizes are mixed together, you have to dig to see if they have your size. The women who "work" here, both the cashiers and on the floor, spend more time talking than working. Expect really slow service at the cash register. I spent 20 minutes just checking out a few clothing items. Incompetent cashiers. Final nail in the coffin, the cashier simply "stuffed" my clothes into a small bag, they were not stacked carefully. If there was a score lower than one You would have it I have been a loyal customer for over 8 years I tried to make a $246 purchase on the 31of July As the clerk told me my coupon was not valid I asked to speak with the manager who after waiting for over 20 minutes never showed up Then a cosmetics girl showed me that it was only an online coupon and chastised me for that I left the store empty handed only to find out that they charged me for the purchase The poor girl that rang me up supposedly canceled my purchase because I never signed for it said it was cancelled I called customer service spent half hour of my time and was assured that it would show up as a credit within 48 hours Lies again I then called back and after another call 29 minutes I was told I could dispute the charge I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a retail chain Shame on you Kohl's Buyers beware Scam Kohl's read more

Did curbside pickup and the employee didn't have the correct order (even though I entered in the correct info and parking space) so I had to roll down my window to talk to them. And their mask fell under their nose and they didn't fix it. Don't even feel safe doing curbside pickup here. read more

Personally I'm glad Kohl's keep popping up around Portland lately. Decent clothes at good prices will keep me coming back. I'm a big fan of their selection of Levi's, as they usually have my size in the style I like at a good price. They also have a good display of NCAA apparel there, as I've purchased Oregon Ducks and Ohio State Buckeyes t-shirts for $9 apiece (If you know me, you know I hate Ohio State, thats how good a deal their NCAA t-shirts are!), and a Fresno State Bulldogs sweatshirt for $14. Note: Very hard to find Fresno State apparel in Portland. But the biggest reason why I frequent Kohl's is the fact I can get nice dress shirts for cheap in the Large & Tall size. The shirts look and fit nice, and I'm glad I don't have to go somewhere expensive like Macy's or Nordstrom's. One area where they could step their game up is getting rid of the awful novelty clothes that have cops eating doughnuts, Jack Daniel's, and other things of that nature. Pretty tacky if you ask me. But then again, I'm sure they're trying to cater to all crowds. Also, I'd like to be able to get a regular pair of cargo shorts with 2 cargo pockets, not 17 or whatever I swear it is. The staff has never given me a hard time, which is really cool. All in all, I believe four stars adequately rates Kohl's. Just had a great experience here - haven't been too impressed with the store since Mervyn's closed up, and I was actually there to return a pair of capris I'd recently purchased (nothing wrong - just didn't like them after I got home). On the way to the inconveniently located customer service desk - my husband wandered off to look at the home furnishings. He stumbled upon the coffee table we'd been looking for and holding off on until we found a decent price. It looks like an ottoman, but the top cushions pull up to reveal an empty compartment, and the cushions flip off and turn into trays to hold food and drinks. It was 50% off the original price. When we took it up to the counter to pay, we noticed a ding on one of the cushions. We asked if we could go exchange it, and the manager took off another 10%. So we got the table my DH was yearning for the last few months for more than 60% off. In the place we were not even looking for it. Score! So pleased with this purchase and the experience at the store. read more

Remember all the hype about Vera Wang's line for Kohls?.. it was in all the glossies, on TV, etc. Well, she may be a wonder with wedding dresses, but this collection is a conglomeration of shapeless abstract patterns in dim colors that just don't look good. (I'll give Vera an out if, in the future, this line seems wearable) Just a little disappointed. Plus the racks were really picked over. However, did you know that Daisy Fuentes has a line at Kohl's? Not all that much better than Vera Wang, but cuter and wearable. And on stupid cheap sale, although not much of a selection. So, ho hum. They do have a good selection of college sports wear, although I saw no Oregon State representation.. bitches. Plenty of Oregon, of course. So yeah.. just meh. Kohl's is one of my favorite places to shop and it is probably one of the few department stores I actually like to go ti. They have decent prices on mostly everything and have good sales, especially during the holidays. I like coming here for clothes, the women's section is huge and has something for everyone. The only thing I am disappointed in is the shoes section. There isn't that much variety and some of the prices are too high. Overall Kohls is a decent place and I can usually find what I am looking for when I come here. read more

Desperate for cheap team shirts, I did a Hail Mary and stopped by during the Labor day sale. Score! Tech shirts in day-glo yellow for everyone at $8 each. Missing a size? Not an issue with a kiosk hidden in back, I ordered what I needed and it was shipped for free. Aside from tee's, I always check out the shoe section. I have to say, I wasn't impressed. Overall, the location was clean and fairly organized. While the initial visit was based on a mission, I plan to come back and see if I can get into a little shopping trouble. read more

We've gone all over to get a mixer, the oh so not helpful worker said she could order it from the Khios. I have high doubts she has ever done that before because I could figure out how to work it better! For one she couldn't enter my rewards card number, then she was going to type out the card info when all you have to do is swipe it. Like what are you doing it says swipe right there. Then I asked her to double check the correct color, we have been all over to get the darn thing, get home to check it online and look at that WRONG COLOR. It's seemed like she didn't want to help and was just trying to hurry thing which I didn't like. I brought it up to the store manager Scott and he took no actions into resolving the problem. I stopped in one afternoon recently for some slippers. When I walked in, there were several people in line at the cashier. The clerk was so busy talking with a friend, that it was surprised that she w as able to do her job at all. I stood and looked for the slippers, found a clerk to ask, but she brushed me off and said " just a sec, I'm with someone" oh joy. Another clerk talking to a friend who was visiting. Hmmmm. I found what I wanted, and a couple of purses and tops ..all in all around $200 worth of merchandise. Standing in line with five other customers, I saw that that same clerk was still chatting with that same visitor. She finally took a breath and hollered across the store to the jewelry dept for some help. That person hollered back "sorry. can't" I put my things on the counter and walked out. I sat in my car and watched three other customers walking out, without any packages. I called the store, and after being on hold once for twenty minutes I was transferred to the management dept but got a dial tone. I called back, go through, chewed them out and said that I was sitting in my car watching people leave without any purchases. Then she asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. Oh yes I do! I will go back, if only to see if those clerks have shaped up any. Obviously they have no supervision and no training. read more

Excellent customer service! I rarely shop at Kohls but of the stores I have visited, the customer service is better than any other store. Telling a customer "I'm going to lock the door because there is no housekeeping and I'm not going to clean it" is not something you expect a manager to tell a man with two children who wants to use the family restroom in which both toilets were clogged and the room was a disgusting mess.
