I'm not typically a Kohls fan. I feel their prices are steep and service is always meh at best. While I often see things I like I know I can find it elsewhere for a better deal. This time however we left with quite a few things. They had a great deal on juniors sweaters, some holiday decor and such. I did like they had a self checkout area since again this is where Kohls lacks. Their employees at other locations are slow as snails or they don't have enough employees to help with checkout. This area borders Goodyear and Litchfield Park. A real treat not having to drive all the way down to McDowell and the 101 was a blessing. I didn't realize this location is considered Avondale. This store seems to have more than our Cactus location. Busy, but clean and organized. The drive-up pick-up signs are covered. They now have a self pick up for online orders. Head to the Amazon returns. They will scan your bar code on your email and tell you the number of the box you need to pick your merchandise in. I can not do a 1/2 star! I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied and disappointed with Kohl's in Avondale, AZ on North Dysart Road. First, most of the products are mixed up and we had to read each tag to make sure of the sale item matched the clothes we wanted. Second, when my 12 year old son is in the dressing room don't have female employees stand at the closed door he's in. Third, when the father of the said 12 year old son is trying to hand his son different clothes and check the size don't try and block him. Fourth, when you stare at the father as he is with his son and eyeball him while he's getting different clothes, it raises extreme uneasy feelings and emotions of anger. Fifth, DO NOT give the father/customer evil eye and stare the father down!!!! Sixth , when I bring up a concern to the cashier -that you need to talk to a manager about it-don't ignore it or try and pacify the very concerned father/customer---call a manager!. Seventh, wait until the customer leaves the fitting room before collecting from the bin or checking the changing rooms; YOUR store was not that busy-you permanently locked a full emergency egress!!!! I was racially profiled at this Kohl's. I was harassed and followed out by a loss prevention worker. The reason I went to this Kohl's in the first place was to return my Amazon order. I never shop at Kohl's, but I was still hoping and expecting to be treated with respect and dignity. The Is a very nice Kohl's location. The customer service was exemplary at this location. The lady at the front counter was very nice and she was very insightful. She let me know exactly where the items I were looking for was located. I've always been a huge fan of Kohl's, but ever since moving to the area about a year ago and this being my go to location, this store doesn't fit in with my past Kohl's experiences. My main reason for going to Kohl's is to shop through the clearance rack, but the clearance options here are non-existent. I understand that clearance is first come first serve, but many other stores and companies always have loaded up clearance racks to the point where you can barely move the clothes around. I've never had any other problems at this location, the staff has always been very pleasant, but I think I'm going to stop wasting my time going to this store just to be disappointed by their lack of options. read more

My Black Friday was amazing! I can't believe I'm saying that but I have always dread the trips to the store on Black Friday! I typically do my shopping online but I decided to join the fun this year around. Our first stop was Kohl's! I have not been here for years and I was hesitant to find anything! We started looking around and the store was clean and organized with heavy staff! Not only that but Kohls had numerous amounts of sales and a huge toy selection. Which Is what I was looking for! Of course the bill can rack up High when it comes to toys but I was able to find a barbie dollhouse about 25 % cheaper then anywhere else! Plus kohls had an additional 15 dollars Kohl's cash for every 50 Dollars you spend! Which meant that I was able to stack my rewards and extra discounts and walk away with 60 dollars in Kohl's cash that I will use to finish my Christmas gifts!! And to top it off! The lady that checked us out was extremely helpful and kind! Kohl's will be my first stop for next years Black Friday! I will see you next year! read more

Compare Department Stores Kohl's may not be my favorite store however, the customer service is bar none, and the return policy can't be beat. Coreena at customer svc is terrible Was standing in the return line for 10 minutes waiting for her to finish helping a customer. While I was already in line another person came into the pick up line. Coreena called her up 1st. I told her I was in line 1st and she said its policy to help order pick ups 1st regardless of how long a person has been waiting in the return line. Do not open a Kohl's credit card! The interest rates are ridiculous and when you do something as simple as a return it "may take up to 24 hours to process." I've paid the whole thing off and I should have a credit on my account of around $70 but when I call the number they say I owe money, yet I have the full amount of my available credit. It's absolutely ridiculous. And Kohl's has goofy sales and their stupid "Kohl's Cash" which can't be used immediately but only within a short time window. Add to this the incessant customer traffic from people returning Amazon items clogging up the parking lot and store. I hate this place and I'm never shopping there again. I rarely use khols. They can be expensive. Though this year, with everything going up I had to use credit. Only card I had was khols, I shopped Thursday midnight for the sales on thanksgiving! Boy I got so much, I saved like 600$ in just specials, plus the kohl's cash, I used that to buy more gifts, plus I got khols cash even more with using my credit card. Literally I bought all my kids their stuff there. So did my sister. 1 thing I was disappointed is I ordered a blue hoverboard n I got some type of purple. Nice Updates and Sales Staff I remember shopping at Kohl's in the Midwest in college. Always wondered how they offered things at such deep discounts, but the bottom line was the prices helped clothe my poor student self. Winter required layers! Had not been to Kohl's since their remodel. We needed to get some things for our growing girls and I was pleasantly surprised. Nothing too drastic mind you, but they have improved the layout and made the spaces brighter. In terms of clothing, the staple lines are still there-- Chaps, Sonoma, Apt 9, Croft and Barrow, Elle, Lee, Levi, Nike, and Adidas. They are also mixing in some name brands like Rock and Republic, nice Vera Wang stuff my wife liked (and looked great on her), Juicy Couture, and Jennifer Lopez/Marc Anthony. In all, I like the new store layout, they've refreshed the clothing lines fairly well, and the service staff were pleasant. read more

Everytime I go here, I leave telling myself that their [wash once and throw away quality] clothing and their incomparable high prices should be reminder enough not to return, but somehow I digress. I love some of the clothes I find here, BUT I do strongly feel they mark up the prices and then make you feel like you're getting a dynamite deal when you have a coupon. I don't think it's fair that they send mailers for 15, 20 or 30% off, and the discount you get could vary from one person to the next. Everyone should receive the same coupon, I would think? Unless I'm misunderstanding. I do think you can find some things for super great prices when they're on sale and you have a coupon, but other times their prices are crazy. Haven't been since late November. It was my favorite department store. Today I was there at about 3 pm. The store was a mess. Nice dresses and blouses were on the floor so people were stepping on them. Clothes thrown on top of racks. They use to have an awesome selection of Levi type pants. Now just tiny skinny stuff. I called on Dec 21st to check on an online order I had placed on December 14th. I was told the order would be in some time between the 19th and the 23rd but I haven't had any tracking information or notifications at all since I submitted the order but I do see the pending charge on my card. When I track the order online it says it will be available to pick up on the 21st which is today. I was told the order was not there yet and I will "hopefully" receive the order by the 23rd. When I questioned what she meant by that she said they couldn't make any promises as to when the order will be there yet they already sent me an order confirmation guaranteeing availability by the 23rd. I told them this was a Christmas present and was the one gift that I was looking forward to giving my son. The person on the phone had terrible customer service and a "not my problem" attitude and tone of voice. She did not try to be understanding of my situation whatsoever. She rudely told me to wait until I get an email saying it is at the store and if it wasn't there on the 23rd I could cancel the order which obviously does NOT help me at all since that is 2 days before Christmas! This person is a disgrace to the Kohl's name and It's a shame the store let's such an arrogant individual trash their reputation. Kohl's is usually a very pleasant shopping experience but today I was very put off by the way the manager handled a misleading sign. Right above a shorts display there was a 50% off sign. When I aksed the associate about it, she called over the manager to come see the display. He came over and rudely told me that the sign was for the other side of the rack only. I told him he should probably cover the side facing the shorts then, to which he just stood there staring at it. He refused to honor his floor display. I was obviously not the first person to bring this to their attention as he told our cashier over the radio that the sign was only for the other side before even coming to look at it. I had "Kohl's Cash" to spend here (having spent $85 for Christmas presents--they give you $10 for every fifty you spend... or they did for the holidays, anyways). I found several shirts here last night (all on sale) and would have left spending $21-something. But, I had the "cash" and spent a little over half the price. I like Kohls. .There are times that I find something for myself and then there are times that I don't. Either way I always find something here. It seems to me that they always have racks and racks of clearance. I love clearance but its all over the place and its just not that organized. Rude Customer Service lady. I was the only person in line to pick up an item I purchased online and happened to stand in the wrong line (customer service instead of online pickup) because my normal Kohl's does not differentiate between the two. Another customer walked up and was served before me...she let me stand in line when I was the only one and did not help me or ask why I was there. I have always shopped at Kohl's but I must say that I am dissatisfied with their customer service. We registered at Kohl's for our wedding and we received several duplicate items. The customer service department would not allow us to get cash back with a gift receipt. Our only options were to put the amount back on the gift giver's credit card or to receive a store credit. I think people should be aware of this in case they register for big items like we did and then you end up with a lot of Kohl's merchandise credit. read more
