Communication was great with salesman. Just couldn't work out a deal car was overpriced and the boss Jim has a serious attitude problem.

Although I did not purchase a vehicle from here, they have been very patient with me. For that, they get four stars.

Keith from sales was rude. I would not recommend this dealership. Shady pricing as well. Buyers beware.

I had a very disappointing experience with Koch 33 Toyota that I feel other buyers should be aware…read moreof. I traveled over 6 hours from Maryland to purchase a 2018 Toyota Tundra after coordinating with the dealership for nearly two weeks, including scheduling a mechanic inspection and completing financing steps in advance. When I arrived, I was informed for the first time that the truck was inoperable and undergoing a radiator replacement. This was never disclosed beforehand, despite multiple conversations during my trip. Because of this, I was unable to test-drive the vehicle or have it properly inspected as planned. I canceled the purchase, and the dealership confirmed in writing that "the deal is effectively reversed." However, after returning home using a loaner vehicle they provided as an accommodation, I was later charged $156.96 for that vehicle--something that was never disclosed or agreed to. In addition to the frustration, I incurred out-of-pocket expenses for travel, a mechanic, and lost time from work. I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing from this dealership to ask very detailed questions about vehicle condition and get everything clearly documented before making the trip.

Not the automotive department this review is for the collision department…read more The absolute worst experience i have ever had with any car repair. It started after my wife was rear-ended at a stop light. Her car drove away from the accident and after 4 months of driving everyday, The insurance came and we went to get the bumper replaced. She dropped her car off on the 1st. 5 days later she got a call to come pick it up its all set. She pulled in and got her car but it wouldnt start. They told her it was her battery (which was replaced a year ago and never had any problems). They replaced her battery and called us the next day saying they found a sensor that had drained the battery so they needed to replaced that sensor. A few days later they gave us a call and for the 3rd time our car was finished. She went to pick it up and before she got out of the parking lot all the lights on the dash came on and the car shut down....  THE CAR HAD NO PROBLEMS BEFOR THEY TOUCHED IT. ill also add when she went to leave the 3rd time the heat and ac would not work. They checked the fuses and said no problem here not sure why its not working take it to mazda. She had to leave her car for a 4th time. They called a few times saying it was a grounding issue and at one point they had 72 codes but they would go away and others would come on. They replaced a blown up relay which controls the heat and ac. I guess sometimes they just blow up when the car is sitting. They called and said its now working and driving but they cant get rid of check engine lights. I told them it did not have any lights on before they touched it and they said they have a picture of the dash because they always take one of the lights on for this exact reason. They took me into the office and showed me a picture of the dash and the check engine light was on. Well wouldn't you know the picture was dated the 8th. We dropped it off on the 1st. Then they said they dont take pictures of the dash when they get the car. One technician informed us he drove it all over it was fine. Another technician said they never drove it because they didnt have a reason to. After the invoice with the ground/wire harness issue they hooked it up to a computer and are now telling us its a oil pressure switch and now its not a power/wire issue because i reminded them it had no problems until they touched the sensor and bumper. Im almost positive they pinched a wire. Im just praying they didn't ground the welder on the computer side of the frame when "fixing" the bumper. Im giving one star because its the lowest you can give and also because they "feel bad" after saying its so strange it was fine and all we did was the bumper and now we have no idea whats going on. They made us take the car. And basically said its your problem now that's from wear and tear its a coincidence we were working on it when all this happened. They didnt even offer to take it to the mechanic shop and fix it. Im telling as many people as i can about this experience if i could stop one person from having to deal with this it will be worth the post

I didn't think I'd ever have to leave a review for a car sales company but the experience here…read moredeemed fitting. About a week ago we went in to get a car appraised for a potential sale to CarMax, and the rep there (Ian, I believe) did the appraisal and took photos, test drove the car, etc. He came back with an offer and said that it's good for 7 days, however because we were from out of town, we didn't have the title with us and would have to go back home to get it. Fast forward 7 days, we got a call from CarMax again letting us know something along the lines of "Hey, it's CarMax, letting you know your value expires today, are you still coming in?" To which we replied - yes, but as we were busy looking for the title and other things that come up in a week's time. We asked "will you honor the same value if we come in tomorrow? (The day after) in which CarMax responded - yes, we will hold that price for you. Fast forward and driving 90 miles later (not in the sale vehicle, by the way), we met Donny, another rep there and he helped us out. He indicated that they would need to do another appraisal and get the value of the car again, and we said fine, but we weren't sure why since nothing has changed about the car we were looking to sell. Some background information - the car we were looking to sell is typically parked in a garage. It was driven to CarMax, and then back to the garage 8 miles away, and then back to CarMax (another 8 miles) to sell. So there was a total difference of approximately 17 miles from the time it was first appraised by Ian, to the time it was getting appraised by Donny. When the offer came back, it was $2,000 less than what was supposed to be "honored." When I asked why, we were told "well it depends on the market. The prices will change." $2,000 drop in less than 24 hours? On top of that, when we provided the title and paperwork to Donny, he had mentioned something came up that the previous rep could have foresaw and told us the week prior, when we first came in. So now after all that was said and done, because of the oversight from the first rep, we wouldn't have been able to sell the car that day to begin with, so now we'd have to drive the car another 8 miles and park it, wait for the document we need, and then **potentially** drive it back to CarMax for the price to drop down even more. What I didn't understand was why this first rep told us they would honor the original value as we were coming in the next day, for them to tell us something else? That is 100% bad business, especially knowing that we were coming from out of state. CarMax KNEW all of this information because it's logged in the system, yet the same rep didn't have the integrity to come out from their office or room to tell us this. An absolute waste of time. This review would have received 0 stars if Yelp allowed it, but Donny did his best and was on the unfortunate receiving end of an agitated customer because of an unprofessional ploy from an even more unprofessional coworker of his. Shout out to Donny but shame on your colleague.
