Star did it thru their site, and I'm second owner with under 2100 miles and they only wanted to offer me 26000. Below what my trade in that they originally quoted me at. And I was at Star Hellertown with CJ Landis the night before and he offered me 29000. So no, I won't be back. No zero star rating is available. Sales department is a den of vipers. They'll sell you the sun and then charge you to undercoat it. The worst part though is the service. Star Service is an outright atrocity. I needed my engine replaced. I bought their warranty. Never once was a depreciating amount mentioned until I needed work. Star replaced my engine. It took them 3 months. Yes. Months. I got my car back. I had it for 20 days. I ended up on the side of the road. It needed new catalytic converters. I understand. What pissed me off is star charging me $900 to replace a single one and the fact that after I replaced them it turned out that wasn't the problem at all. Worst dealership ever. read more

Purchased a new 2019 Sierra Denali in November. Had dealer install a GMC 3 fold tonneau cover. I returned to dealership after the first rain as the cover leaked at all four corners. My previous 2011 Sierra Denali had a factory cover and never leaked in 6 years. They claimed that they all leak and it was no big deal. When I requested that they remove the cover and refund my money the service manager, and the dealer principal (owner) appeared and said to see if their adjustments worked and let them know. In all subsequent visits for numerous electronic recalls I complained about the cover. The front latches kept popping open which could lead to the cover blowing off and striking a following vehicle. GM finally recalled the covers and sent out a kit with repair parts for the cover. I again tried to have the dealer remove the cover and give me a refund. The service manager, Michael Davis handled the the recall and had me bring the truck in when a representative from the GM aftermarket supplier would be present to oversee the repair. When I arrived at the dealership no one in the service dept knew I was coming in and had to find him to get my loaner authorized. At no time did he leave his office to introduce himself. I was called the following day and told I could come in and pick up my truck. When I arrived I was told to get my keys and paperwork from the cashier. Again, no contact with Mr. Davis, no discussion about the recall repair. The following day I opened the cover to see if it leaked, of course it did. Furthermore I needed a rubber mallet to get the right rear clamp to close. I called the dealership and left a voicemail for Mr. Davis, It's been 24 hours and no call back. I again called and got voicemail. I was in the retail car business earlier in my life and don't think I ever saw such arrogance on the part of dealer management. Not only won't I return for service work I will make sure no one I know visits this dealership to purchase a new vehicle. read more

6 months ago I bought a car, I called Tyler back and he offered me 6 thousand less after 2000 miles I put on it and that was fine, a big difference but I understand. I asked to get a little more and Tyler said he will call me back. I then get an arrogant sales manager who talked to me and my wife like we were trash and offered us 2500 less then Tyler's original price he offered us 15 min before. These people are disrespectful and after you buy the car they will treat you like garbage. I celebrated the first day of Spring by buying a Buick Encore from Star Buick. I hadn't had a new car in 25 years so I was very leery of dealerships and salesmen. That feeling was gone the minute I was introduced to Marcos Nascimento. Marcos greeted me with a sincere smile that didn't leave his face until I waved goodbye. Marcos escorted me to his office, and after offering me a beverage, listened very carefully to what I wanted. When we went for a test drive, he knew and explained every feature of the car. He answered all my questions and even some I didn't think to ask! After the test drive, we went inside to discuss numbers. Marcos explained my financing options, I told him my budget and he gave me an excellent deal. Marcos kept me updated the entire time the paperwork was being processed. He made sure I was comfortable, offered me refreshments and chatted with me while I waited. Once all the I's were dotted and the T's were crossed, we went outside and he took a picture of me with my beautiful new car. Then, instead of just sending me on my way, Marcos took the time again to show me the features of my car and to help me setup my OnStar, online Buick account and my Buick phone app. Before I drove away, he made it very clear that if I had any questions or problems at all, to let him know. I have never had a better experience buying a car than I did buying my Encore. Marcos, along with the other staff, was friendly, helpful and courteous. I am already telling everyone about the great experience I had, how wonderful Marcos is and that he is the man they want to go to if they're in the market for a new car. I had a 4:30 appointment for an oil change, and did arrive early. I was at the dealership for nearly 2 hours for an oil change. My service advisor Doug also seems to have a very condescending attitude when he told me that I need rear brakes which I was aware of, and he wanted me to pay $401.00 for brakes and rotors. When I declined that service because I will do them myself he seemed to have an attitude. I also asked for my vehicle to be washed and when it was finally finished I paid and went outside and my truck was not washed as I requested. I was so extremely aggravated at that point it was not worth my time to go back in and complain. I think from this point on I will just wash my own car at home and have Brown Daub Chevy do my maintenance services. read more

I was again told by the dealership that people don't usually use their parking brake and that not having it isn't a problem or concern. They said it's only to be used when parked on an incline, not in an emergency situation when your brakes fail. My car passed inspection a week ago and three days later, I found out there is no drag and my car doesn't even stop on a FLAT or inclined surface when the parking brake is engaged. I was then told they are taking the mechanic's word that it passed last week and it not working now is just a coincidence. When my trust in their work was questioned and I mentioned I do not feel safe after the inspection, I got the same run around. When I picked up my car and asked to physically SHOW me how they checked my parking brake for inspection, the showed me on a FLAT SURFACE and after they adjusted the calipers (which is not guaranteed to work the next time the brake is pulled). I brought up the PA Code for inspection and asked to see where and how they check the brake- they said it should be at a certain angle but they FAILED to show me they actually have that and did that at inspection. I question if they properly inspected my car at all and insist I'm wrong. No mention that they could have been mistaken at inspection or way to satisfy my safety concern, other than forking over another $700 (other stations in the local area and in NY quoted $300-400 less than Star. They said they'd price match but couldn't price match what I was quoted. I don't really want to waste my time getting the written quotes to give them to match because I'm so mad. They downplayed other places and stated they wouldn't do the work properly. Even said I could get the parts elsewhere and they'd install it but didn't come close to the same price I was quoted for parts AND/OR labor at other places). I have taken my car here for work in the past. I was even seriously thinking about purchasing my next vehicle from there. I guess you won't be getting my money anymore and you are out of the $25,000 I may have spent on a future vehicle. Left voicemail for the owner, at least I think I did, as it said the extension was "busy" but the receptionist said he's out of office until next week. I also overheard the conversation the Rep had with the manager when I picked the car up- basically put everyone there against me so as not to hear my story. They stopped talking when they saw me standing there. Ultimately, I don't think they properly inspect the cars. It's a shame I have to feel this way and write this review. read more

Terrible service! Do not buy the extended warranty for the exterior. They will not honor it. Also, make sure you gas up before you go .... had my car for almost a week and got it back with no gas. I actually have pics of my mileage and fuel gage from the day before I brought it in. Empty tank and over 100 new miles on my car. Also, lovely crack in my windshield. Didn't even bother to tell me. Walked out to my car and there it was. Sent them a message on their website almost a week ago. Did service reach out to me?? NOPE! But their sales guy did! Really??? My car isn't even 2 years old!! With all the run around I received why would I buy another car from you?! Had the same issue 3 times in 6 months. Not an apology. Not even an explanation. An incompetent, unethical operation with terrible customer service! I brought them my vehicle to diagnose a clunking noise from the front end. The service department couldn't figure what was wrong and told me I had to pay $59.83 if I wanted my car back. I protested, but two levels of management agreed that I would have to pay if I wanted my car back. They told me the service manager would call me the following Monday, but he never did. Two weeks later, I received a "Did we provide excellent service" robo-call. I returned the call and told them my experience was terrible. I explained that I had been forced to pay for a diagnosis they had not provided, and again asked that the service manager call me. He never did. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! read more

My husband and I purchased a 2014 used GMC Sierra Denali from Star GMC Easton on 2/27/19. The Sales guys we dealt with, John Grello and John Panosetti were good to deal with. The check engine light came on recently. We called Star GMC's Service Department. We were told to drop the truck off last night for an 8:30 am appointment today. We parked the truck right in front of Star's Sales Entrance, dropped the envelope with keys through the night drop at the Service Bays. What a comedy show all day. First my husband got a call this morning they couldn't find his truck or his keys. My husband called around lunch and still no one knew where the truck or his keys were. WHAT????? Unbelievable. Someone called him now and confirmed they found the truck but the keys were still not found. SCARY!!!!! Not a good experience so far. Does the right hand NOT know what the left hand is doing? Who took our truck for the day? This is very APPALLING....took a good sales experience and flushed it down the toilet with our first service. read more

BEWARE BUYERS: DISHONESTY can be very, very COSTLY! To get the work van we needed and wanted, it cost over $46,080 for a van that should have cost us $35,963 including all taxes, tags, finance charges, etc. We made the huge mistake of going to Star Buick GMC in Easton, and dealt with salesman, Steve Puccio. Our story is as follows: I worked with Steve to purchase a specific cargo van for our business, as we already owned 2 GMC's vans, so we knew what we wanted. Steve told us that they were not available and GM didn't make them anymore. The GM part was true, however Steve did not complete the sentence to say that they were not available to him. The day we purchased the new van, I asked Steve again, while in the waiting room with my son, and he assured me there were none. We returned home to find messages for the van we wanted. We bought the van on Saturday, so on Monday we did find there were many other vans available that were what we were looking for. Tuesday we took the new van back and asked for our money back because it wasn't what we wanted and we had been misled and told what we wanted wasn't available. The managers said it was a "misunderstanding" and that Steve meant "unavailable to him". This is simply deceitful, underhanded and NOT TRUE! They further said it was not their policy to take a vehicle back. The manager at Star also lied to the representatives at GM Corporate, who called them on our behalf, telling them it was an emissions issue. Again, NOT TRUE! Meanwhile, I had told Steve on Monday that we didn't want the van and why, and wanted to return it. I told him that I and other dealerships had found the vans. I further said, if he had looked around and hadn't deceived us or misled us, he would have found the vans , too. Hours later after telling Steve this, I started receiving numerous texts and phone messages from Steve, with information about all of the vans HE located, THAT THERE WERE NONE OF AND WERE NOT AVAILABLE two days earlier, that had the package we were looking for. He continued texting and calling with new vehicles, the entire week. Should he have not done this when I first inquired for a new van with a specific package, prior to the sale???? Does this dealership want a happy customer or a sale. The answer to that is obvious. I also emailed Keith Muir, 3 times after one phone call, about my issue, with absolutely no response. I am very unsettled, frustrated and unhappy with Star, the salesman and the purchase of the vehicle. It cost thousands of dollars, that we cannot very easily afford, to get the vehicle we wanted with the trade-in of the vehicle they sold us. We were basically forced to buy the next best van, unknowing that the best van existed, because Steve was not interested in what we wanted, only what he wanted. I am reaching out to others, about this terrible situation, so hopefully this will not happen to another trusting individual buying a new vehicle. Another update: The sales tax on our Contract is not correct and we were overcharged. I have emailed the general manager, and of course have not received a response. An absolutely horrible dealership that leaves you with a very bad taste. The consumer has very little recourse with new car purchases unless the dealership is reputable, honest and lives up to their motto of "Customer satisfaction". Rest assured, if they respond to this review, they will either say "They will do their best to help us" or it was a "misunderstanding". Well, Star hasn't even bothered to reach out to us at all, despite several calls from GM, and certainly haven't tried to help us. A much better trade in value than the Ford dealer where I originally purchased it from and had it serviced there. In fact I was insulted by the Fords dealer trade in value. Couldn't believe the deal they were trying to give me on a Ford Ranger. Bob worked hard to get me a great deal on my Canyon. Interesting...... all of the reviews where someone has purchased a car are GREAT! but the ones regarding service are terrible.......... I had a terrible experience regarding the recent replacement of our Lucerne's rear bumper. We dropped off the car Sunday night, work began Monday morning and were told it would take a day or two. By Friday morning, we had not heard anything so I called. I was told by the collision rep that the reason no one called was because he didn't have the phone number for State Farm to call them to have a charge approved. When I asked what charge, I was told the car was sent to service to have the "SERVICE LANE DEPARTURE SYSTEM" indicator diagnosed and that the control box was in the trunk and would cost a few hundred dollars to replace. I told them this indicator had been on for months and had nothing to do with the rear bumper damage. Besides, the camera/box for the lane departure system is on the windshield. I said I am not paying for the diagnostic and was transferred to Doug in service (who was very helpful). Doug said that he'd get the car ready and someone would call for us to pick it up. Never heard anything all day. I called again Monday morning and was told again by the collision rep that they need a number to call State Farm to have the charge approved. I said that no one called me prior to doing this diagnostic and it has nothing to do with the rear bumper, and I am not paying for it. Then he says, "Well I need a number to State Farm anyway because we do a follow up call to let them know the car is done." This was a lie. So he said he'd talk to service about the charge and call back. No phone call. I called AGAIN and never did reach anyone, just voicemail. So 3 hours go by and someone finally calls and tells me we can pick up the car. We pick up the car, charges are right. Bumper looks good. I look in the trunk at home and the lining is completely pulled out of the trunk, wires are hanging. The driver mat is FILTHY with mud and stones, the paper protector someone put down was torn and in a mess on the floor, and the light colored plastic jam trim (after wiping off the mud) now has permanent black marks on it that won't even come off with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I think the handling of our Lucerne during this visit was horrendous and disappointing. They had our car for 6 days longer than they should have, all because no one bothered to call me to ask if they could run a diagnostic (to which I would have said NO). We love our Buick Lucerne and this bad review has nothing to do with the car itself, rather than with the service and treatment of this visit. Very, very disappointing. This is not the first bad service visit with this dealership for our Buick. read more

The only thing that I didn't think was so great was that my car was not detailed inside or outside. All that was done, was it got run through the carwash. Star "had" a 2011 Enclave, Mocha with DVD player and 24k miles listed for $33,581 that I was interested in buying. I communicated via live chat on Wed 5/2/2012 about driving 4 hours from Northern Virginia to Central PA to buy the car on a Saturday, 5/5/2012 and set the appointment for 2 pm. Continued live chat with questions about the Enclave on Wed & Thurs and indicated I may make the trip on Friday morning, 5/4/2012 instead. Live Chatter said if I was going to be there on Friday morning to call her so she could let the salesmen on the floor know this was an internet sale. Live chatter started asking if I was interested in only the Enclave, or was I interested in an Arcadia. I told her NO, only the Mocha Enclave. While we were both still online on Thursday afternoon I asked, "Is the Mocha Enclave still available?"......no response, then sign-off. At 6:53 PM Thursday Chatter sent e-mail and told me to bring a copy of that e-mail to show sales people it was an internet price....So at 4:30 am I left NOVA for PA....and after 4.5 hours I arrived at Star to be told there was already a "deal" on the car, but it might not go through, and would I be interested in a White Enclave. No. Talked to another sales person, would I be interested in a Denali? No. The Mgr, Joe, said the deal for the Mocha Enclave might not close for 3 days and he'd call back. No call. I called on Thursday and was told the deal was done and the buyer was going to pick up on Sat. Today is Friday, and I now see the car is once again listed on Cars.com and the Star Website, but for $36,581. You tell me, does this car exist? Or did they realize they could make an additional $3,000? I never received a single call or e-mail from the internet salesperson(chatter) Sophia...and only received a half-hearted apology from Joe. I took off and entire day of work, drove 450 miles and wasted 10 hours of my life for what can only be called "suspect" sales tactics. If you look at the tenure of the sales staff it might give some insight into their business practices....only 10% of staff have more than 1 year at Star. I'm thankful I didn't buy the car from them because I can only imagine what the after purchase care of the customer might be, especially being 4 hours away. If you choose to purchase a car from Star, be very careful because you can see their tactics are not exactly honest. read more

Don't buy from here. What a rip-off. My husband bought a Jeep from them and when he got home, he found out the emergency brake was faulty and did not work. He called and was told that it worked there and he must of done something. What could he have possibly done to the emergency brake from there to home. They told him he could come back (67 miles from us) but he would have to pay for the work. I am sorry but to be legally inspected, the emergency brake has to work and not just on flat surfaces but also on hills such as we live on. I feel this company is shady and anyone looking to buy a used car should look elsewhere. I am of the mind to call Better Business Bureau because this should be taken care of. read more

Looked for a new (used) vehicle here. Both trucks we test drove were dirty (salesman all but confirmed they don't do a good job with this there) and both trucks (2012 and a 2014).. Were damaged in the outside. Now I understand they're used so they won't be perfect but there were simple things they could've put energy into that they chose not to. Our salesman barely talked (unheard of for a used car salesman) and he knew NOTHING about trucks or the vehicles we were interested in. He acted like we were wasting his time and made it VERY clear he didn't want to be there. We talked to the manager about our displeasure for the salesman and all he could do is say repeatedly "that doesn't sound like him (the salesman) instead of apologizing to us and fixing the situation. There was no customer satisfaction at Star and they do not take care of their cars or customers. They lost a sale this weekend because we drove to Scott Chevrolet after this and had an amazing experience (and bought a $32,000 truck). Never again. star never again read more
