Walking up to it is very comforting as the yogurt shop is situated in what used to be an old house, so it doesn't give off industrial vibes, it gives more of a comfy home vibe. When I was inside, I was immediately greeted by staff at the front who welcomed me in and showed me where to begin. There was a lot of families present which is most likely due to the park that is right across the street as well as the front patio which has many tables to sit at family style. One thing to note is that they only have 6 flavors at a time. For my first choice, I chose to get a vanilla and strawberry swirl with fresh strawberries and watermelon gummies. I was very impressed with the amount of topping selection they have. Almost every topping you can dream of- they have. The most noteworthy of all was that the fresh fruit toppings were well sealed inside of a refrigerated area. All the fruit looked fresh and well maintained. If you look at the pictures below, you can see the strawberries I got. The whole bucket looked pristine. Overall, I love this place! I love Davis creamery!…read more Since my freshman year, I have been going to Davis creamery! It is one of my favorite places to bring friends to, or show to people visiting Davis. I like that they choose to make their ice cream in store rather than buying it in bulk or ordering it from a factory. If you are looking for a quick ice cream treat, I would 100% reccommend checking this place out! Everyday of the week, they have some sort of deal or happy hour sale going on which is worth it to schedule into your day. They have many different flavors and toppings and they do allow sampling! For those who cannot have dairy, they also have dairy free options which is why this place is a go to for large groups or people new to Davis! There are options for everyone. One thing to note, they do not have seating inside and oftentimes they have long lines. But they do have seating right outside under street lights. On busy days, staff are alwasy working as fast as they can and they are always happy to help. The best way to avoid the lines? Go before meals or go earlier in the day :) after dinner is always the busiest time. In the spring, you can also submit a flavor you'd like them to make and if it makes it into the running, it will enter the month of bracketology where visitors try new flavors created and the favorite will be added to the menu for a while. If you are new or just stopping by, I would reccommend trying this place! If you find a flavor you really love, you can always take it home in a pint!

I had a really disappointing experience at Bingxue in Davis today. I waited about 20 minutes for my drink and still hadn't received it, so I ultimately had to cancel my order. There were other customers who had been waiting even longer, and I heard people being told it would be another 10 minutes, then another 20 minutes. At that point, I knew I wasn't going to be getting my drink anytime soon. What was especially concerning was watching how the drinks were being prepared. There seemed to be a lot of time spent looking for individual ingredients on each ticket, and even basic parts of the drinks were taking an unusually long time to prepare. I understand that new employees need time to learn, and I'm certainly not expecting every drink to come out instantly. But this level of delay is simply not reasonable for a drink shop. These types of businesses are expected to have a reasonably quick and efficient service process. To put it in perspective: if this were Starbucks, a 20+ minute wait for a single drink while customers ahead of you were still being told to wait another 10-20 minutes would be a serious service-time failure. That is the level of inefficiency I experienced today. Hopefully this was just a particularly bad day and the staff and processes improve. But based on today's experience, the shop does not seem ready to handle customer volume efficiently yet.

It's a bit of a drive from Sacramento due to the traffic because of the construction. It was worth the drive to try something new. I've never had this type of Taiwanese shaved ice before. At least I think it's Taiwanese. It was described as frozen milk shaved like shaved ice. It's very fluffy and not chunky like regularly snow cones you get at fairs and festivals. This shaved ices don't compare. I loved the texture of the shaved ice in our Mango Bingsoo(Regular). The shaved ice was covered with mangos and dressed with sweetened condensed milk. I wish there was a larger portion of the condensed milk to pour on top of the plain ice when you run out of mangos. The proportions mango to shaved ice was pretty spot on, though you could always use another layer or two of mangos. I just can't get enough mangos. Price- This was pretty pricy and I would say it's a special occasion type of place. In addition i Size- The regular was the perfect size to share with a friend. For two of us the large would have been too much. Restrooms- They have one unisex bathroom in back. Thankfully you don't need a code to go in. It was clean and well supplied. Entertainment- They have a bookshelf of games to entertain you and your friends as you enjoy your sweet treat. Parking- There is plenty of parking as they share a private lot with the shopping center. It's nothing like downtown Davis where parking is scarce and there is a time limit. Menu- they have a large menu, mostly of drinks. They have a smaller menu of desserts. They had several flavors of Bingsoo(Regular) including a seasonal peach, mango, and our friends got the one with red beans and rice cakes. I had a taste and it was really good also. Would I go back? Yes, for a special occasion.
