Things that caught my eye was the extensive selection of Middle Eastern spices, Asian snacks and drinks, and liquor. I didn't walk down the liquor aisle so I have no idea if it was Asian liquor. Overall, a great spot to grab affordable Asian snacks and cold drinks. It's located in the heart of Davis' downtown amongst the lively hubbub.

However, our experience turned sour shortly after entering the store. The cashier, in the middle of helping another customer, reprimanded my husband for throwing away an empty cup in their trash can. Her facial expression and tone of voice was obviously upset and stern, as if we brought in a ton of trash to put in her bin. That experience alone made us feel unwelcomed and we left immediately. Like lady, who the hell hurt you so badly that you're upset at an empty cup thrown in the trash. This review was left moreso to let management know of their employees level of customer service. On one occasion I was pushing my cart by the register to look at items arraigned across from the register and I was yelled at that I needed to pay. I explained I was going to the items for sale and the cashier told me I needed to leave my cart next to the register. I left my cart next to the register and she stood next to it and proceeded to stare me down as I went to look at the display with the items. The Tofu Soup from the food court area was average. There was barely any seafood but it tasted good. There was a large amount of kimchi served on the side with a side of rice. The cost was high considering the lack of ingredients in the soup. Ordering on the kiosk was fast and easy. Service was good as the workers were friendly and helpful.

Whenever this happens I end up leaving with a lot more items. I appreciate that they carry a wide variety of items including some ingredients and items that are hard to find in the US and even at other Asian grocery stores. I miss coming here as we no longer have a daughter attending UOP. It was one of our routine stops when we drove out to visit her. Products range from Japanese dishes, snacks, rice, tea, sauces, meats, frozen items, and even fresh sashimi and prepared salads. Near the register they usually have fresh mochi available too. It is such a treat to stop by and see what's in stock.
