Myu Myu was a little snack store located right in downtown Davis. They carried a wide variety of Asian snacks, instant cup noodles, condiments, and even had a freezer section with dumplings, ice cream, and thousand year eggs. I loved stopping by occasionally to grab some of my favorite snacks, their selection was always fun to browse. I was so sad to see they closed down last week. Everything in-store was 50% off during their last days, and it honestly felt bittersweet shopping there one last time. Myu Myu will definitely be missed in downtown Davis! read more

Honey Butter potato chips? We stopped by to check out what Myu Myu was all about. It was next to BurgerIM where we were having a quick bite on their outdoor seating. Myu Myu is a convenience store with limited space and offer products that are most popular from all parts of Asia, including Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. The first thing I noticed was the shelf that carried Lay's brand chips. I took a closer look and the flavors were not the American flavors that I'm used to seeing in the chips aisle in our grocery stores. No, these Lay's brand chips had Asian flair like Grilled Squid Flavor, Salted Egg, or Nori Seaweed. The store manager (or owner?) was excited to show me around their popular food products. I walked out purchasing a few food items: Matcha flavored KitKat chocolate Calbee Grilled Corn BBQ flavor Cheetos -- steak flavor and turkey flavor Oishi potato chips - braised pork flavor Black Garlic Oil Tonkotsu ramen noodle soup Korean Gomtang noodle soup Shredded Squid (cuttlefish) Not on my typical grocery list, I know. Very cute little store! They sell a lot of Asian snacks and goodies here, and they have a pretty wide variety for you to look at too! The prices are reasonable for the most part, but their instant ramen is definitely a bit pricier than most places. They're the only place in Davis that sells the instant hot pot kits for a reasonable price (~$10 last I checked), and those are a good treat on a hot winter's day! The store itself is also very well organized, and the bags that you have the option of purchasing when you check out are very high quality (reuse them as gift bags!). I'm docking a star just because some of the prices for some of their snacks seem a bit higher than they need to be. Also because they sell anime girl mousepads that seem out of place for an Asian snack store? Just a bit inappropriate and distasteful to me, but maybe I'm weird for not finding those types of mousepads fun. read more

I love this place! So happy that davis has introduced more Asian places that weren't here in years past. It's a small but nice and clean place to grab Asian snacks that are not always sold elsewhere! It's one of our favorite places to go when we are in the area. Their prices are reasonable and either run about the same as other major chains or cheaper. We try to pick up a bag of the beef steak flavored Cheetos :) whenever we stop by. We will often try something new every time we come. They have a nice clearance section as well with snacks/foods that have just expired or are nearly ready to expire but are still fresh. read more

Additionally they've got the most wide selection of instant noodles, as well as some sauces and Asian ingredients for cooking. I've never seen so many different types of ramen all in one place!! Literally a wall of ramen - and tons of brands I haven't seen before. We picked up some tonkatsu flavored ones and also some Hello Kitty branded rice cakes with strawberry on them! They also have different snack foods from Asia - like potato chip brands and Kit Kat - I'll have to try that next time. Oh yes and they have bigger gift boxes for about $35 with various Asian snacks inside - one was a Naruto Shippuden brand that I'm sure my kid would love. Super fun place for unique treats. read more

Love that everything is reasonably priced, as well. I just have to knock off a star because they sell very overly sexualized anime girl breast mousepads, which is pretty weird. I wouldn't take a kid here, I don't understand who actually buys those? My friend got one as a joke, but I would think that if they were to actually sell Asian goods besides snacks they would sell different anime/kpop merchandise that wouldn't be that creepy. Visiting from Cupertino where there are Asian supermarkets galore, I never expected to find anything new that I can't find elsewhere. This little shop is a goldmine! They had so many things a little fatty Asian would find (and love to death) at 99 Ranch, Marukai, or Mitsuwa. Kit Kats Shrimp chips Samyang ramen Samyang 2x spicy chicken sauce! AND FOR EVEN CHEAPER. This isn't even at 99 ranch yet, and often sold out elsewhere. Red bean buns Thai spices and curries Calpis drinks Boba bars Melon bars Salted egg yolk snacks Pineapple cake Oh God I'm salivating just thinking about it. Wish I took photos! I had never before been to this place and I was so excited to try it after my friends told me to check it out. Located in downtown Davis, this is definitely a vibe for college town folk. It's a convenience store that sells lots of convenience food like ramen, chips and all kinds of Asian snacks. There is also a small fridge/freezer area where you can find things like taiyaki or frozen asian food bowls. They were also giving out ramen bowls that were nearing expiration for free during check out. I got a ton of snacks and ramen for $40, way cheaper than any of my snack boxes. read more

Excellent selection and such friendly service! I stopped in here for the first time after getting ice cream down the street. Lots of sweet and savory snacks, quick meals, sauces, and drinks. I bought a chili sauce with fermented black beans and my friend bought a pack of Shin Ramyun Black instant noodles.
