Run don't walk to this ramen spot! The inside is small but it's really nice. The service was great and they played really good music. When the ramen arrived you could smell the goodness coming from the bowl. The miso had a depth of flavor and felt so good going down. They have plenty of add ons available so you can add pork, bacon, shrimp, eggs etc. it was so good I sent my husband back today for a reup! Try it and thank me later
You have to find street parking there are metered parking spots around. Its a small nice spot with great service with a good small menu which is good i like a place that focuses on a few items. Theres only ramen and appetizers here. I ordered the ko ryu ramen level 3 spicy you can choose your level of spiciness 1-5 And you can choose how you want your broth whether its miso spicy miso shoyu etc My friend ordered the chicken wonton ramen and we also ordered spicy edamame and fries. I didnt like the spicy edamame because it tasted like wasabi and the first batch came out way overcooked and had a texture of peas but they brought us a new one which was ok. The fries are tiny so i recommend to sticking to just the ramen. Overall great service nice ambiance

I did not like that they charge for flavored egg and the server guy was rude and couldn't really understand him. Overall good spot and good ramen!
We hit up Ko Ryu Ramen while visiting LA and were very pleasantly surprised. "Dad, smell the broth, it smells so good!!" my normally unopinionated middle schooler exclaimed... We ordered two bowls of the Shacho Ramen, and the food came out very quickly. We demolished it in minutes, and perhaps the only thing we regret is that there wasn't more... This is a smaller restaurant not really catered to larger parties, but we are glad to have stumbled across this quality noodle house!
Arguably the best ramen I've ever had my entire life. I'm so glad I decided to stop by and give this restaurant a shot. Not sure if the owner was the one that served us, but he was extremely knowledgeable about the broths as I had a few questions. Ultimately he led me to his personal favorite ramen so I tried it and I'll tell you.... He did not steer me wrong. Started off with takoyakis and they were so buttery and flavorful. Then the star of the show came! The ramen was so well portioned, the broth was simply a thing of beauty. I didn't want it to end and when it did I was so sad! Chasu was exquisite, the egg was wonderful. I literally have nothing bad to say. This is a diamond in the rough. From the food, to the service, to the wonderful ambiance this is easy a 10/10.
Visiting San Pedro and walking around our hotel area, we found a cute little ramen shop, Ko Ryu Ramen. They had very good reviews, so we decided to give them a try. We walked in when they first opened and was seated immediately. Ordered the Koi Ramen, no, not made from koi fish, but a pork and chicken bone broth. Also ordered a side of Karaage Chicken, Gyoza, and white rice. The food came pretty quick, piping hot, and freshly prepared. The karaage chicken was a decent sized serving, and was lightly glazed in a garlic soy sauce, very good! The gyoza was good and seemed house made, not the typical previously frozen deal that many places serve, but I could be mistaken. The ramen was really tasty! The broth has like a foamy top and was very flavorful! The chasiu was a nice slice, and a very well made 1/2 ramen egg. The noodles were cooked perfectly. Overall, very pleased with the meal, and the service was quick and pleasant. Highly recommended!
Ko Ryu Ramen is a fun and casual restaurant, and the tastiness of the ramen is always consistent. You know what you are getting each time, which is comforting when you need a treat that you know will be delicious. I ordered the spicy ramen and asked for a level 3. It had quite a kick that made my nose run a little, but I love spicy food. I do believe that going any higher than a 3 may make it a bit unbearable for me. 3 is perfect for me. If you are a bit sensitive to spicy food, I would suggest going lower or trying a different option from their menu. We also ordered the gyoza and the garlic edamame. The gyoza was delicious. My children even wanted me to order a second serving. I also ordered the garlic edamame, but the garlic is a bit overpowering to the point where it was a little spicy. The spice came purely from the potent garlic. It was good, but could benefit from a pinch less garlic. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. I will continue to visit when I have a craving for spicy ramen that I know will hit the spot.

Tonight, I wandered into a ramen spot in San Pedro, tucked along a charming little boulevard, lured in by its glowing reviews. I went straight for their new Garlic Bomb Ramen. Here's the rub: one lonely slice of meat felt more like an afterthought than a protein, and the garlic--while bold--came on like a drunken house guest who doesn't know when to leave. That said, service was sharp and attentive, the kind of detail that makes you want to give a place another shot. Maybe this bowl just wasn't my story, but I'll be back to see if the rest of the menu tells a better one.
Interior isn't super special, but appeared clean and was sufficient. My server was very busy, even though it was almost 3PM, but it was a holiday - Jan 1st. I took one of the last 2 tables. She did a great job of juggling, menus, orders, drinks and payments. She was friendly, efficient and happy to answer questions. I am mostly vegan and liked the vegetarian Gyoza and Ramen very much. I will happily go back when I'm in town again.
Very good ramen spot. My first visit to this ramen restaurant on a Friday, 3/14/2025 around 4pm. Plenty of metered street parking until 6pm. After 6pm you don't have to pay. Or there is a metered park lot about a block up the street, west of the restaurant also metered until 6pm. We ordered the Ko Ryu Spicy Ramen level 2. A Chicken Ramen and a Shacho Ramen. We also ordered karaage, pork buns, spicy edamame, and handmade gyoza. Everything was delicious. Level 2 spice is a perfect balance if you like spice but not too intense of a ramen. The noodles are very good and filling. Perfect texture. And add ons included are good too. Karaage is already bite size and tender and juicy. The pork buns were one of my favorites aside from everything else with plenty of pieces of tender flavorful pork, like little pork tacos. Pork gyozas were great and a lot of flavor and full of broth. Service was attentive and pleasant. Inside is nicely decorated and clean. Definitely will return.
I was attending the First Thursday event in downtown San Pedro. It was alive with music and open shops and pop ups. I was craving something light and popped into Ko Ryu Ramen. I was seated promptly and a menu and water quickly appeared. I ordered the Kyo Ramen with miso (signature dish) and an Oder of. gyoza. The ramen tender and the miso broth hit the spot on the cool evening. A great spot just down the street from the big hotels.

It's perfect for a quick bite to eat during our lunch break. Very casual, so don't worry about dressing up. I ordered the fried chicken curry ramen because one of my friends had ordered it in the past, and I remember it smelling so good. I'm glad I gave it a try this time! The chicken is served on the side so it doesn't get soggy in the broth. Even after I added pieces of it to the broth and let it sit, it still held it's crunchiness for quite a while. The broth itself had a wonderful curry flavor. Usually I can't finish a serving of ramen in one sitting, but this was so good I ate it all! I've tried their tsukemen and garlic bomb ramen in the past. The tsukemen wasn't my fav, but it's hard to compare when I already have an amazing fav at another ramen spot. And the garlic bomb ramen was good, but I didn't feel blown away by it or anything. That could just be because I prefer tonkotsu ramen though, and Ko-Ryu specializes in miso and shoyu ramen. I'll definitely be back, and next time I want to try one of their spicy challenge ramen dishes!

Very savory ramen, I tried the $30 deal from Groupon and got $60 dollar worth of food. Got pork bun and fried rice to go on top of the ramen and rice bowls. Nice spot after a night out or when you're feeling under the weather. The server was attentive and refilled our soda before being asked. read more

We stumbled upon this ramen place by chance just driving around and I'm glad we did. I ordered Garlic Bomb with miso base - very creamy and fragrant ramen, epitome of comfort food. Garlic is pronounced but not overpowering. As appetizer I had gyoza, tasty and perfectly seasoned. God forbid I have a cold, there is where I eat my recovery soup. read more

Don't get me wrong, the broth was delicious, the noodles were perfection, the egg and the added green onions were amazing as well! My only critique would be that the chashu is tough, it is not tender as I was hoping, recommend leaving it for last and leave it soaking in the broth for awhile before it starts to soften a bit. The service was excellent and very friendly! The ambiance of the place as well is both relaxing yet upbeat as well, with the selected music it gave me energy but also the warmth and comfort of the atmosphere is also calming! read more

One of our goto ramen places in Torrance. Pretty consistent good quality traditional gyoza and ramen. For a lighter taste, I'd recommend basic miso koi ramen or chashu ramen if you are hungry. For stronger flavor, try the garlic bomb! I like my ramen a little softer so I usually ask them to cook a little more, my family likes it more chewy so they like how it's normally served. read more
After visiting family in San Pedro, we wanted to grab a bite before our hour drive home. We wanted ramen so we checked our trusty Yelp & found Ko Ryu located in an area that is considered downtown SP about a mile or two from Ports o Call village. It's a laid back casual place. We ordered their house specials Koi ramen & Shaco ramen. Both were tasty. We also ordered a pork bun which a bit dry. I misread it & thought it was a pork belly but it was just the same cha shu pork that was in the ramen. Overall we enjoyed it. read more

First time here today, boy are we glad we gave it a chance. Not only the ambiance is awesome, has that industrial style vibe to it with a mix of urban, vintage kinda rustic elements to it, exposed pipes, large window, weathered woods and metal. Uh I love!!! Now.....drum rolls...the ramen...oh my delicious! The garlic one , tasty!!!! The spicy ramen, give it your level! Mine was # 3 oh boy, spicy, but spicy good!! You can do pork or chicken katsu, amazing!!! We also ordered shumai towards the end, that's good!!! And the price....unbelievable!!! Cheaper than it is out here in San Fernando valley for sure! And worth it! Are you kidding me now? I gotta come out here to San Pedro to have this deliciousness? Hell yeah!!! Whenever we're out here..this is our go to , for ramen!! Also, the service is 10, the wait staff...Friendly. Attentive and smiles all around. This is definitely. highly recommended ! Food is BOMB!!!! read more

Very disappointed.. We were initially psyched that there's a ramen joint in our new neighborhood of San Pedro but after giving them a try, sorry to report that this is subpar ramen quality. Neither the broth nor the noodle quality was strong.. This was the consensus between myself, my husband, my brother and his partner.. read more

Hi Spider, I am sorry we don’t have that. Because our broth is cook by Pork born and Chicken Born. So it’s not taste as Tonkotsu. But we have our signature Ramen which is Koi Ramen, also is rich broth. Thank you
