It was a blistering day and we didn't want soda or a smoothie, but we knew we wanted something different that will help cool us down. There aren't many or any places I've seen that does sugar cane drinks, so this was a treat for us. We got the tropical, strawberry, and watermelon cane drinks. The tropical is tart, which I loved. First time here and I got an açaí bowl. The açaí bowl is relatively cheap compared to other places. The quality is just as good. Everything is very fresh and healthy. The workers here and very friendly and when I was there she came and asked me if everything was good. I would come back here and get the same thing. Ko Juice is the best place in Glendale to get yourself a sugarcane juice! I love the concept of this place with sugarcane juice and acai bowls because it's basically everything I love together at one place. There's another place in the 626 called Vita Cane that does somewhat the same things however, I prefer that one more. I think Ko Juice has a wide variety of things to order from flan to halo halos to different flavors of sugarcane juice. If i'm ever in Glendale for lunch/dinner, I would definitely stop by here to get something to drink! I've tried the regular one, the Koko cane one, the watermelon one, and the Hydrator one and my favorite is definitely the koko cane with coconut bits. Coconut water and sugarcane juice definitely complements each other well because one is more light while sugarcane is more sweet. What I don't like about this place is that there's too much ice. I know sugarcane is expensive but if you try to adjust the ice levels, you have to pay extra. The cup sizes are pretty small for what you pay for and I don't like that you have to pay 50 cents extra if you want to add coconut bits to the Koko cane whereas other places comes with it. Definitely will come back because I love sugarcane juice too much. I think it's super refreshing and while I think this place is on the pricier side, I would definitely come here if I'm in the area. read more

Just happened to pass this place while walking to Americana. It's an interesting concept. I love drinking sugarcane juice with kumquat and lime the way it's made in the Taiwanese night markets. Ko Juice has a whole assortment of juices using freshly pressed sugarcane juice as a base. I went with the summer seasonal special, which was a watermelon cane juice. I had them add ginger to it since watermelon and sugar cane by itself seemed imbalanced and too sweet. It was cool watching their machine work as they inserted fresh sugarcane and separated the juice from the fibrous material. The drink was good and was decently thirst quenching, but it isn't something I'd really crave. The sugarcane juice seemed to be lost with the watermelon and the watermelon flavor wasn't enough to really taste like watermelon. The ginger was a welcomed addition as it was really the only flavor that stood out. I want to try Ko Juice again, but this time go traditional and get either the pure sugarcane juice drink or get the sugarcane, lemon, kumquat drink. I shouldn't have gone against tradition. Staff were all super friendly. Pricing is a bit high, but it's Glendale right by Americana and they're pressing fresh sugarcane, so the price does seem fair. read more

Service here can be really amazing or really bad. The first instance, I got a customized acai bowl w/o cane sugar (it makes me too jittery). Service was super warm, friendly and exuded a family like vibe. I ordered ahead and got to pick it up 10 minutes later and enjoyed the bowl on their side patio. The experience was so enjoyable that I came again - except this time instead of the friendly vibe when I asked to have no cane sugar + blueberries in the base, one of the workers got annoyed/upset and confronted me why even bother taking out the berries from the base. I tried to explain that I didn't want the base to be too sweet but then was cut off and told that it's not true and then proceeded to say they were too busy to make this bowl. She hadn't even considered that perhaps, some people might really like their acai bowl but didn't want it to be too sweet for health/dietary reasons and it was really none of their business to question a customer's taste. I get that businesses don't like to customize orders because it's not as quick and easy as having all the pre-made stuff ready to go, but if they are not entertaining customized orders - they really should just state that up front instead of entering my order, then getting into an argument about my taste. Also, it was insulting that they said they were too busy when the cashier already entered my order and there were only 2 other customers waiting for their order. They could've just said, hey it's gonna take a little bit to make your order, you ok with that? Here's hoping that this was a one off - but the experience really left a bad impression that no one wants to have. read more

I think Ko Juice is great overall! I personally tried the drink "The Original" which was good but maybe a tad too sweet for me but I can say for sure the mixed ones like Lemon Aid or Strawberry Cane are more up my alley. I am also a very big fan of açaí bowls so whenever I have a chance to get one I take the opportunity. Let me tell you the Ko Açaí Bowl does not disappoint. They are not cheap with their toppings and the açaí itself is perfect. I don't see how you could go wrong with anything on the menu. As for the place, it is a bit small but I like the ambiance. It is clean, colorful, cozy, and a great hangout to be at with friends. I have been curious to try their Halo Halo so I will for sure be getting that the next time I am in there. Mind you I didn't place an order ahead of time. Still love their drinks and will continue to support. But if you're reading this make sure it's made fresh. Yum! You'll be met with a warm, friendly worker behind the counter who will offer samples to try depending on what tastes you like. The woman who helped me asked if I liked ginger, and I said yes. So she offered me a sample of ginger + kumquat + cane juice. It was delicious, so I went ahead with that. She asked if I wanted any adjustments -- particularly with more or less ginger. They're so flexible with the drinks, ingredients, and flavors that you can't go wrong. She was equally nice and enthusiastic with the several customers before and after me -- offering samples and discussing with them what tastes they prefer. She even shows the cane juicing machine for anyone who's curious about the specialty/uniqueness of their drinks. The space is really cute and spacious, with about 5 tables and an open seating area by the entrance. I thoroughly enjoyed my drink and am excited to return to try more! To cut to the chase: coconut juice and sugar cane juice combined (Coco Cane) makes a refreshingly mildly sweet thirst quencher. When I was in Vietnam this is a beverage I drank a lot since it was always available there but not in America. The girls in here are great, they will let you sample any flavor you like and they're all delicious. Every flavor I believe is made with real fruits. The juice from fruits is then mixed with the sugar cane juice. They also have expressos and teas which are probably incredible, since the staff genuinely cares for the customers satisfaction.
