The front of the establishment doesn't stand out overly much, so we almost walked right by it. When you enter the building you walk straight back (through the entry that says this way to beignets!) and can order at the counter. The beignets were made fresh to order and covered in a mountain of powdered sugar. The latte was smooth and not too sweet. Put a sign up that says so and stop wasting people's time. Never going back. There are other coffee shops.

So that said, as this was our first visit, we stopped in for an espresso. The baristas were very friendly and welcoming and even informed us that their usual espresso shot was a double shot and asked if that was ok for us. Which was great because that would have been too much for us today and we were able to split the shot between us. The espresso was delicious with a delicate flavor of butter and dark chocolate. It had a slight bitterness to it, but not an over roasted or burned taste. The flavor changed as the shot cooled and was actually sweeter once cooled to room temperature which was surprising. Overall a great tasting espresso experience! We will definitely go back whenever we are in town and I look forward to trying their cinnamon rolls next stop in!
