#Orkin I am really trying to be patient with this company but I'm finding it increasingly more…read moredifficult each time I try to get answers and I'm ignored. Well over a year ago we called Orkin to address an issue we had. IMMEDIATELY upon arrival we we sold a $1500+ plan to treat what we were told was termites. Putting our trust in this company, we moved forward and paid for the $1500 treatment. The treatment required several revisits before the job was complete. Not long afterwards we were notified that in order to continue to be protected we would be required to pay an additional $250+ for yearly inspections, which we reluctantly did. VERY SOON AFTER we paid for yearly inspections we began to notice the VERY SAME activity in the VERY SAME spot that was initially said to have had termites. We called #Orkin and asked for a followup inspection. It took a few days but a technician was dispatched. He did not have any answers other than saying he needed a sample of the bugs, which appear to be beetles, the SAME bugs that were present at the onset. He advised us that the bugs would be sent to the lab and treatment would be determined from there. Well ... three weeks later and after not hearing anything back we called again. The SAME technician was dispatched and he said and did the EXACT SAME THING. He took samples of the bugs and AGAIN advised us that the bugs would be sent to the lab and treatment would be determined from there. Three MORE weeks go by and we call AGAIN, this time a supervisor was dispatched and guess what??? He advised us that the bugs would be sent to the lab and treatment would be determined from there. In addition he says that the bugs appear to be beetles and this will require a completely different treatment. I'm pretty confident that they sold us a termite treatment that we never needed and now they have left us to our own devices as we have yet to hear about the samples taken by the supervisor over two weeks ago. I've been doing some research on this company and I'm becoming more alarmed about what I'm seeing. I would NEVER RECOMMEND #ORKIN.

I bought my house in 2010. It was treated by this company and I've paid $160 every year since to…read morekeep my 10 year termite certificate up to date. In 2017, I discovered termite damage in the garage. I was told the chemicals used don't last 10 years around here. They agreed to repair the damage, but I would be required to retreat the house to prevent further damage - another $800. A year later after several unreturned calls, I finally got the company's repairman out to the house. The damage was much more extensive than expected. The repairman stated that this was about 7 years of termite damage. I was shocked and angry to learn this as my house was 7 years old when I discovered the damage. Was my home ever even treated originally? Now, I'm having trouble getting the repairs finished. The company's repairman is the son in law of the company's owner, and apparently will fix the problem when we gets around to it. Today was the third last minute cancellation in the last several months after I've taken three days off work to be present during repairs. I was told that if I'd have let him come when I wasn't at home, that the job would be done by now. Does anyone blame me for wanting to SEE the actual repairs in this case? I called National this morning, and the manager's response was that he didn't control the repairman's schedule. He was supposed to have the owner contact me, but that hasn't happened yet. I asked why my repairs were less important to them than the other job the repairman prioritized over mine today. The manager said he'd talk to the owner when he got to the office, but wasn't going to call him. Again, apparently it's an inconvenience to discuss a customer being treated so poorly. Unacceptable!

Jennifer S., I grew up in this area and just wanted to add a bit to your experience. Unfortunately,…read morethe exterminating people are correct, effective and persistent termite chemicals used in the past such as DDT, chloridane, and malathion have all been banned due to their toxicity, and what is currently used is a non-toxic boric acid solution, which dissipates/loses effectiveness fairly quickly, especially in a wet or frequently wetted area (like basements and garages). It is fairly common for the initial treatment of the ground under and around a new home, done during house construction, to be rained on repeatedly before the foundation is even poured, or before the house can be "dried in", and as such it is of debatable value anymore. It is highly likely that termites moved into your home about the same time you did. Damage will not be evident until the termites have breached the living space. I realize this is of little comfort, but unfortunately this is the problem with living in the deep south, we have termites here and they really want to eat your home. National does a good job and has been in business for a long time. It is unfair to blame them for conditions they cannot control.

Three times in 10 years. Twice it was a major pain to get them to repair the damage as they said. The last time we called in October of 2021. They treated again for termites and said they'd be back to repair in a month. The company changed hands. In March they said we needed to find a handyman. We found two. Still nothing. So we started calling. Every day. "He will call you back" crickets. A complaint with Better Business Bureau. Crickets Finally we found the president of PurCor and the VP, and after a few calls with them, another visit from an adjustor and we finally got the approval at the end of July. So hopefully it will be fixed in August! Horrible service!

Also when a customer calls with an issue, address it . And follow up. Been a customer for awhile, company starting some type of intergrade and they lost my contact info. Which led to a service tech coming twice without any notice so all I got was an exterior treatment. I called and paid for all missed services (full price, 1/2 service) and set up for a technician to be at my house to complete the service. I waited for the three hour window I was given, no one called, no one showed. I called the next morning, only to be told they don't know what happened. I have now cancelled my contract with them and currently seeking a new provider. Thank you have a nice day!
