Scheduling was difficult, missed appointments and showing up late. When they finally arrived to actually do the work, they didn't have the proper equipment for it and they left for hours never to return. A few days later they came back to start and I was told that they need to bring another person to help get the job done and there would be extra cost. I agreed to pay more and it was changed to a flat rate at that point. They completed half the job and ran out of materials (supplied to them). I paid them 50% of the amount as half the work was done. Within two days I scheduled again to have them come and finish the job. And 20 minutes before they are set to arrive, they said the pricing will change again if I want the job done. This is unacceptable by any standard. Even though the flat rate quote was within $10 of what others have quoted on Yelp, I gave them a chance with no reviews on Yelp and that's a mistake. Now I have an unfinished job that I need to bring another company to finish. I would not recommend the business due to the following reasons. 1. Providing an inaccurate quote based on a site inspection (not just photos) 2. Missed appointments and delays 3. Not having the proper equipment to start the job even though the site visit should have made it clear 4. Changing the quoted price mid way, not once but twice If these challenges are no big deal to you, then go ahead and hire them.

He was patiently explaining experiences related-can't thank him enough-worth it! I am a state licensed plumber, and have new construction experience in residential, but I was in the dark until Tom's crew came and handled this. It's more difficult than I thought. It's a raised, jack supported structure. He used a laser level; discussed the bending in the I Beam, and need for jacks to carry the load evenly. But Dustin at Dad's Heating and AC did the opposite. He walked me through the system like a translator. He showed me the leak, explained the low refrigerant, made the invisible visible. Not in a "trust me, buddy" way, but in a way that made me smarter, not smaller. He was hell-bent on educating me and showing his work. Usually, hiring a repairman is a trust fall onto a stranger with a clipboard and a $400 surcharge for something you hope isn't made up. This felt more like auditing HVAC 101: How Not to Get Rolled. It's a throwback family-owned business. Dustin does the repairs, his wife handles the scheduling and phones. It's a toss-up who is friendlier... which is saying a lot. Dad's didn't just fix my AC. They fixed the part of me that expected not to be treated this well. 10/10, would trust Dustin with my Netflix password.

Short version: This company is excellent. Danny, who did…read moreour consultation and quote is simply amazing. Had them install (2) HVAC systems. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Long Version: Our HVAC went out just as summer was hitting. Upstairs completely dead, downstairs on it's last leg Ouch. I actually own a general contracting company, but not in Riverside County. So I had to interview and vet HVAC companies from scratch. Advanced HVAC was the 2nd contractor we met with in our home. Danny was simply outstanding. HONEST, thorough, expert. He was patient and provided different options based on our budget. NOTE TO OWNER OF ADVANCED AIR OWNERSHIP: whatever you are paying this man is not enough - give him a raise. When Danny left after about 90 minutes, our decision was made. We were going with Advanced Air. Pricing was clear, upfront and VERY competitive. Unfortunately, I can't say that about the other contractors we met with. Notes about pricing: as a Contractor myself, I have the ability to understand approximately how much these HVAC contractors are marking up their labor and materials. An unscrupulous contractor may attempt to charge 50% or 100% more than another one for the EXACT SAME system. Do not fall for this. At the same time though, a quality contractor like Advanced Air has the right to cover all of their costs AND earn a fair profit for their TIME AND EXPERTISE. As a homeowner, the quality of installation should matter to you just as much as the materials. I recommend looking for a FAIR price but not necessarily the LOWEST price. Advanced Air delivers in both respects. Once the scope of work was final, we scheduled the install. It was actually (2) units, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. The team was obviously experienced. Austin, Johnny and Mike immediately split up and went to work. By the end of the day we had COLD AIR flowing out of all the air ducts - sooo nice. The team went through a brief checklist with me confirming what tasks were done. Loved that professional touch. The work areas were left CLEAN and tidy. About a week after the install, I had a small concern. (Keep in mind that I am picky). Advanced Air IMMEDIATELY scheduled a service call. The tech was experienced and efficient. Issue was resolved on the spot. I highly recommend this company and would absolutely use them again.
