While the building is plain brick from the outside, the inside is warm and inviting with stylists in private rooms. The waiting area includes snack bar, water, wine, sodas and coffee! They do take walk in appointments, but I am partial to scheduling ahead with Melissa Williams. She has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair since before I even had grey hair! The shop was very clean and Maria was very nice. I will be going back. Oh, and she told me to think about just getting a good blowout moving forward with no more cream-crack.

She was patient in looking at my request, worked with me on HOW we would accomplish the cut, was flexible/easygoing and an overall joy. After having an incredibly stressful past few months, this experience was exactly what I needed to feel rejuvenated. My hair came out perfectly, exactly what I had wanted. She helped navigate me through what I wanted (easy, low maintenance, angled "Lob"; thick, straight, healthy hair for context) and really delivered. Highly recommend! My hair was a mess with split ends etc since it had been awhile so I sucked it up and made an appointment. They were specific about their check ins so there weren't too many people there all at once. Everyone was masked, there was 6 ft distancing between customers and air filter machines. I felt really safe there even though I was very apprehensive at first. Moving onto the haircut- I don't think I will go to anybody else other than Mohsen after he did wonders with my hair. I am picky about my hair and had quite a few specifications and Mohsen listened and asked if everything was looking the way I wanted every step of the way. I wasn't afraid to share my thoughts and he was really attentive about what I asked for. He even taught me a few tricks on how to make my hair look perfect when I'm on my own! ! I was so happy and received many compliments from friends and family afterwards. I had even provided photos of my daughter's hair in advance, so there was no surprise or misunderstanding. Further, the "master" stylist was very rude and accusatory when he approached me about retroactively charging us. Mind you he was the one I showed the pictures to, as well as the one who submitted the payment slips to the young women at the front desk. Changing prices after the fact is unfair and unacceptable. It also raises serious concerns about discriminatory pricing practices. Customers deserve transparency and honesty, not hidden or after-the-fact charges. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who values professionalism, fairness, and respect.

Which means she can't apply chemical to your hair. She specializes in braids and at no point does she pull your hair, stress your edges or cause you pain. At every point it was clear what I was paying for and she was clear about the feasibility of each request. Hair Galore does offer some hair care items and accessories. There is a wide array of stylists but only a few who honor the Groupon. I was please with everyone's professionalism and the cleanliness of the salon. I would definitely come back! The only bummer was that no one answered when I called during normal business hours one day and I called multiple times. The stylist that executed the highlights was sweet and the atmosphere was relaxing and clean, hence the 2 stars that I (dare I say generously) have given. However, the quality of the highlights were not only unlike the photo that I showed the stylist, but also poorly created in regards to lack of toning, placement, and thickness. When attempting to contact the original stylist in regards to fixing the skunk-lights, poor communication and extra charges were received in response, along with an appointment date over a week later, which is why I went over the highlights with a dark color on my own after receiving some kind advice from some Sally's Beauty staff, who were also horrified at the state of my hair. I will not be going to Elements Salon again.
