I legit fell asleep 3 times and woke myself up with snores LOL. I didn't even realize I was falling asleep!!! This was such a treat. Everyone I encountered was super nice and helpful. I only had 2 complaints about my experience: one was the massage technique wasn't my favorite. There was a lot of long slow motions, and maybe that's what a deep tissue massage is, so no knock to my massage therapist (she was very firm just like I like), I was just hoping for more massaging than slow rubbing. But she was great! My other complaint was that the waiting area called "The Sanctuary" was so peaceful...until a man in only a rob walked in, shortly after his lady friend came in with only a robe on and sat on his lap and kissed him. It's a small room so they were probably like 3 feet away from me. It was pretty uncomfortable to say the least. It just seemed odd to have folks together like that. Naked people kissing in such close proximity just wasn't on my relaxation list for the day. Nonetheless, I left feeling super relaxed and passed out as soon as I got home. She gave me recommendations on how to better the process, and we spoke the whole time, which makes the process (for me) a lot more bearable. She is smart. She is nice. I've had enough Brazilian waxes over the years to know the difference between normal post-wax sensitivity and a service that didn't go right. The result was severe burning and discomfort that has continued for more than a week. This wasn't a little redness or minor irritation. More than a week later, the discomfort still has not fully gone away, and I've never experienced anything like this after a Brazilian wax before. I also attempted to contact management afterward to discuss the situation and request a refund, but I was unable to reach a manager or get clear information about when one would be available. Unfortunately, between the outcome of the service and the lack of follow-up, I will not be returning.

According to my previous reviews I have been a loyal customer but unfortunately no longer. I've always loved the service from the nail techs as well as the owner, Jason. For this appointment, I scheduled in advance in order to get my favorite nail tech. I learned my lesson before when I walked in and had to go with another nail tech because she wasn't available. While I waited for her, Jason offered to take my nails which he did, no problem. After finishing he placed a sheet of paper in front of me filled with handwritten names and phone numbers. He pointed to my name and asked if that was me. I happily replied yes when I recognized my phone number. He then proceeded to tell me that I had written a bad review and I needed to take it down. Taken aback I asked him to repeat it. He did. I informed him that my review honestly captured my experience and I was happy to update it. I asked him if he addressed my concerns. Rather than acknowledging my concerns or even apologizing, he continued to state that I needed to take my review down. At this point I felt bullied because I realized that this was likely something he has done before which means that the reviews are not an honest reflection of people's experiences. He went on to tell me that I could not be serviced unless I took the review down. I asked how much I owed him for taking my nails off and promptly paid him cash. I then walked out and headed to the new nail salon that just opened by my house. I hadn't gone there yet because I was willing to drive the 30 minutes to come here. This was my last trip to Concord Nail Spa. I'm very disappointed and shocked to learn that Jason, the owner bullies people into writing the reviews that he wants. He said that I should have come to him first and I actually agree with him. Had he responded to my concerns I would have done an update acknowledging that. Instead, I'm documenting this experience.
